Detective Duck THE THEATER Walkthrough – Puzzle Solution

This is a full, start-to-finish walkthrough for The Theater map in Detective Duck. If you follow the steps in order, you’ll clear every puzzle, open all locked areas, and correctly identify the traitor without guessing.

Step 1: Get the Staff Room Key

At the start, read the text clue near the entrance. It states that the staff room key is hidden behind a poster.

Go to the poster on the wall and interact with it. The Staff Room Key is hidden behind it. Pick it up and unlock the staff room door.

Step 2: Read the Crumpled Paper (Important Code Clue)

Inside the staff room, find the crumpled paper. This note is critical.

It lists:

  • Toolbox

  • Staff Room Sign

  • J6

  • X

  • Locker

These clues correspond to digits that will form a five-digit code.

Step 3: Find Each Digit

Toolbox = 2

Locate the toolbox in the room. The number 2 is marked on it.

Staff Room Sign = 0

Remove the staff room sign. Use the magnifying glass to inspect it. You will see a 0.

J6 Seat = 8

Go to the theater seating area.
Find row J, then count to seat 6.
The number 8 is written on the seat.

So far, the code is: 2 – 0 – 8

Step 4: Find “X” in the Director’s Room

To access the director’s room:

  • Remove the wig nearby

  • Pick up the Director’s Room Key

  • Unlock the director’s door

Inside, remove the wall clock and use the UV light.
You’ll see hidden writing, upside down.

Rotate your view to read it properly.
It reveals: X = 5

The fourth digit is 5.

Step 5: Backstage Room & Final Digit

Go back to the main area and locate the Backstage Key, hidden in the corner.

Unlock the backstage room and open the locker inside.
Use the UV light on the locker to reveal the number 3.

Final Code

The complete code is:

20853

Enter this code to unlock the door.

Step 6: Axe, Lighter, and Metal Stick

After entering the code:

  • Collect the axe from the locker

  • Use the axe to break open the crate

  • Inside, grab the lighter

  • Burn the oil-soaked plank using the lighter

While waiting for it to burn, collect the metal stick nearby.

Once the plank is destroyed, go down and use the metal stick to pry open the door.

Use the chair to escape through the opening.

Step 7: Elevator & VIP Lounge

Call the elevator. It moves slowly, so wait patiently.

Ride it down, then back up.

Once upstairs, collect the VIP Lounge Key.

Return to the main theater area and unlock the VIP lounge.
This allows you to end the investigation.

Step 8: Choosing the Correct Suspect (Cook)

There is no direct evidence like fingerprints or weapons, so deduction matters.

Key case facts:

  • The victim collapsed during a performance

  • No blood was found at the scene

  • The victim never stood back up after the blackout

This rules out weapons and physical attacks, since those would leave blood.

The only logical cause is poison.

The cook prepared food for the performers, including the victim. This makes the cook the only suspect with both opportunity and method.

Correct Suspect: The Cook

Vote for the cook to successfully complete the case.

This map relies more on logical deduction than hard evidence at the end, so understanding the crime details is just as important as solving puzzles.
