Crabmeat doesn’t tell you how to unlock anything. Every achievement is hidden, so if you’re playing blind, you’ll miss quite a few without even realizing it.
This guide breaks down all Crabmeat achievements, including the ones you’ll get naturally and the ones you need to go out of your way for. Nothing extra, just what you need to unlock everything efficiently.
Crabmeat Beginner Guide – How To Obtain All Achievements
Most achievements fall into two types:
- Progression → unlocked by playing normally
- Optional / Missable → require specific actions
You can get most of these in one or two runs if you know what to do beforehand.
Progression Achievements
These are tied to the main game, so you’ll unlock them just by playing.
The Debt
Unlocked at the very start.
Begin a new game, go through the intro, and sign the contract when prompted. Once you confirm it, the achievement triggers.
Threat
This unlocks when you die to an enemy.
While fishing, creatures like parasitic or long-leg crabs will attack your boat. Let one of them kill you once to get this.
Beyond Repair
Unlocked after defeating the final boss.
Once you reach your quota, head back to the starting dock. As you approach, the King Crab fight begins. Defeat it to unlock the achievement.
Contract Renewal
Unlocked after finishing the game.
Just watch the outro cutscene after beating the boss.
Additional Achievements (Missable)
These require specific actions and are easy to miss if you don’t know about them.
Garbage Duty
You’ll find crab traps marked with a ? on the map.
One of them contains a body. It’s located slightly south of the docks, a bit off the usual path. Pick it up to unlock this.
Locksmith
Collect all keys in the game.
Keys are found inside ? traps left behind by other crabbers. If you’re exploring properly, you’ll find most of them naturally.
Burn Out
Use your afterburner until your engine breaks.
Just activate it and let it run continuously until it stops working.
Patriot
Fill your tank to 100%, not just the quota.
To do this faster:
- Use double rings
- Place two traps at once
- Wait until both are full before collecting
The Towers
Leave the fishing area completely.
Head toward the yellow boundary and keep going. Once the timer runs out, the achievement unlocks.
Efficient Worker
Complete your quota and return with at least 4 days remaining.
You effectively have only about 3 days to finish everything, so you need to be efficient with trap placement and collection.
Map Guide (Important Locations)
Understanding the map helps with multiple achievements:
- O → One trap per ring
- ? → World traps (contain loot, keys, or body)
- Red area → Body location (Garbage Duty)
- Blue areas → Key locations (Locksmith)
Because everything is hidden, Crabmeat can feel confusing if you’re trying to 100% it without help.
Once you know what each achievement needs, it becomes much more straightforward. Most of them are simple — you just need to know they exist.
With this, you should be able to unlock every achievement without wasting extra runs.
