Mixtape 100% Achievement and Trophy Guide

Mixtape is filled with small interactive moments, hidden conversations, and optional actions that are very easy to miss during a first playthrough. While some achievements unlock naturally through story progression, others require very specific actions, perfect performance during mini-games, or fully interacting with the environment.

This guide walks through every achievement in chronological order while also explaining the easiest ways to avoid missing anything important.

A lot of the achievements are thankfully chapter-specific, which means you can replay individual chapters later through chapter select if needed.

Mixtape 100% Achievement and Trophy Guide

Before chasing achievements, there are a few important things worth knowing.

Interact With Everything

Several achievements require fully exploring bedrooms and listening to every unique dialogue line.

If an object still has interaction dots around it, there is probably still something left to inspect.

Let Dialogue Finish

Do not interrupt conversations early.

Some interactions only count after the full dialogue finishes.

Avoid Button Mashing During Skill Sections

Several trophies require perfect runs with no mistakes, especially during movement and rhythm sections.

Chapter Select Helps a Lot

Thankfully, most missable achievements can still be cleaned up later through chapter select.

Achievement Walkthrough

Chapter 1: Skate to Rockford’s

Achievement: Thrashed

To unlock this achievement, simply ollie over an incoming car during the skating section.

You only need to successfully jump over one vehicle.

Chapter 2: Rockford’s House

This chapter begins the long “Front To Back” collectible achievement chain.

You need to inspect every important object and hear all unique dialogue.

Some required interactions include:

  • Door
  • Paintings
  • Radio
  • Bathroom counter
  • CDs
  • Record player
  • Skateboard
  • VHS tapes
  • Cassette player
  • Conversations with Cassandra and Slater

You will revisit these rooms multiple times throughout later chapters, and new interactions become available after story progression.

This achievement is very easy to partially miss if you rush.

Chapter 3: The Kiss

Achievement: French Connection

During the kissing scene:

  • Wait at least 60 seconds
  • Then select “That’s Enough”

Ending it too early fails the achievement.

Chapter 5: Shopping Cart Bomb

Achievement: Smooth Shopper

Complete the shopping cart escape sequence without crashing once.

This is easier if you focus more on smooth movement instead of maximum speed.

Chapter 7: Debbie’s Bedroom

This chapter continues the Front To Back collectible chain.

Inspect:

  • Trophies
  • Cabinet
  • Pictures
  • Boxes
  • Wardrobe
  • Additional dialogue with Cassandra and Slater

After later memories unlock, more interactions appear in the room.

Chapter 8: Ultimate Slushie

Achievement: Grunge Metal Alchemist

Create Slater’s secret slushie recipe by combining:

  • Blue Crush
  • Bubblegum
  • Lime
  • Orange

Mixing the wrong combination will not unlock the achievement.

Chapter 10: The Ritz Discovery

Achievement: Goodbye, Stacey’s Room

Unlocked automatically after completing all memories in Rockford’s room.

Chapter 11: Skate to Cassandra’s

Achievement: Cone Island, Baby

Knock over 10 traffic cones during the skating section.

You do not need to hit them all in a row.

Chapter 12: Skipping Stones

Achievement: Skim Gordon

Throw a stone through the tire swing near the right side of the area.

The angle can feel slightly awkward, so take your time aiming.

Chapter 13: Cassandra’s House

This chapter continues the Front To Back interactions again.

Important objects include:

  • Bookshelf
  • Pinboard
  • Cassette tape
  • Flower photo
  • Trophy cabinet
  • Bathroom paper
  • Curtains
  • Window
  • More conversations

You will revisit this room multiple times as the story progresses.

Chapter 14: Softball

Achievement: And It’s Outta There!

As Cassandra, hit every ball successfully for home runs.

Rockford’s performance does not matter for the achievement.

Timing matters much more than power.

Chapter 15: Toilet Paper Attack

Achievement: Triple Ply

Throw 50 rolls of toilet paper at the house during the attack sequence.

You do not need perfect accuracy.

Just keep throwing constantly.

Chapter 16: Floating on Sadness

Achievement: It’s The Pigs, Darling

While floating through the air, hit 3 pig balloons.

They are fairly easy to spot during the sequence.

Chapter 17: Cassandra’s Rooftop

Achievement: Instructions Not Required

After Slater talks about the MiniMaster:

  • Assemble it in under 15 seconds

If you miss this achievement, you can replay Chapter 17 directly through chapter select.

Chapter 18: Bodacious Cretaceous

Achievement: Don’t. Move.

Take 20 photos during this chapter.

You can photograph almost anything, so this one is fairly simple.

Achievement: Matching The Drapes

Unlocked automatically after completing all memories in Cassandra’s room.

Chapter 19: Skateboard Explosion

Achievement: Appetite For Destruction

Destroy every possible object during the skateboard section.

The easiest method is rapidly pressing the trigger buttons continuously.

Chapter 21: Door Painting

Achievement: Paint It, Black, If You Want.

Paint the entire door in under 30 seconds.

Using the large paint roller makes this much easier.

Chapter 22: Couch Moving

Achievement: Sofa King Fast

Move the couch into position within 30 seconds.

A very important detail:

  • Go through the middle of obstacles
  • Do NOT move above them

This seems to affect consistency for the achievement.

Chapter 23: Leaf Sweeping

Achievement: Leaves That Are Green

Clear all leaves within 45 seconds.

Holding the trigger to charge the broom lets you sweep much larger groups at once.

Chapter 24: Slingshot

Achievement: From The Hip

Hit every can and bottle on the car within 30 seconds.

Fast target switching helps a lot here.

Chapter 25: Slater’s House

This is the final section required for the Front To Back achievement.

Inspect everything carefully, including:

  • Red robot
  • Plasma orb
  • Guitar
  • Fish tank
  • Record player
  • Lava lamp
  • Tape player
  • MiniMaster
  • Wall objects
  • Conversations with Slater

Achievement: Front To Back

Unlocks after fully discovering every required object and conversation across all bedroom chapters.

This is probably the most easily missable achievement in the game.

Chapter 26: Starlight Video

Achievement: Doppelbanger

Knock over every cardboard cutout in the video store.

Simply run into them.

Achievement: Tapehead Graveyard

Knock 200 VHS tapes off shelves.

Running into shelves repeatedly works perfectly.

Achievement: Eight Minute Odyssey

Unlocked automatically after completing all memories in Slater’s room.

Chapter 27: The Run

Achievement: Well, Take A Look At You

Complete the chase sequence without missing:

  • Any jumps
  • Any slides

Very important:

Jump over the tall wooden fence instead of smashing through it.

Chapter 28: Coastal Cruise

Achievement: Banned In Massachusetts

Do not miss any fireworks during the cruise sequence.

Rapidly pressing:

  • L1/LB
  • R1/RB
  • Square/X

makes this much easier.

Chapter 29: Party at the Ritz

Achievement: Fight For Your Right

Collect every possible item during the party.

Accept:

  • Food
  • Drinks
  • Items
  • Interactions from party guests

Fully explore the entire party area before progressing.

Chapter 30: Finale

Achievement: Last Song

Unlocked automatically after finishing the game.

Mixtape has a surprisingly emotional and nostalgic atmosphere, but it also hides a lot of achievements behind environmental exploration and tiny interactions. The game rewards players who slow down, look around carefully, and fully engage with each memory instead of rushing through chapters.

The biggest challenge for 100% completion is definitely the Front To Back achievement because it requires paying attention across multiple chapters and revisiting rooms after story progression changes the available interactions.

Thankfully, chapter select makes cleanup much less painful if you miss something during the first run.
