Mina the Hollower Opossum Impressem Achievement Guide

Opossum Impressem is one of the trickier achievements in Mina the Hollower. To unlock it, you’ll need to successfully jump across 10 tiles in a single leap. This isn’t something you can accomplish early in the game, as it requires several late-game movement upgrades and a specific execution sequence.

If you’re struggling with the achievement, this guide covers every required item, where to find them, and the exact inputs needed to clear the jump.

Mina the Hollower Opossum Impressem Achievement Guide

You’ll need three specific trinkets and one sidearm before the achievement becomes possible.

Bellows Bustle

Bellows Bustle is awarded after completing every race that leads to the Central Fountain area.

Many players will naturally obtain this while pursuing side content, but make sure you’ve finished all available races before attempting the achievement.

Keri the Wisp

Keri the Wisp can be purchased from the Shady Puppet Merchant.

The merchant changes locations throughout the game, so if you haven’t purchased it yet, revisit the merchant whenever you encounter them.

Spring Heels

Spring Heels is typically acquired near the end of the game after restoring all generators.

If you haven’t reached that point yet, it can also be purchased from an NPC located beneath the train station.

Drill Driver Sidearm

The Drill Driver is mandatory for the jump sequence.

To obtain it:

  1. Travel to the area east of Ossex.
  2. Cross the bridge on the right side.
  3. Move two screens upward.
  4. Go one screen to the right.
  5. Collect the Drill Driver.

Without this sidearm, the achievement setup will not work.

How to Perform the 10-Tile Jump

Once all required equipment is equipped, perform the following sequence while continuously moving in a single direction:

  1. Regular Jump
  2. Big Jump
  3. Drill Driver
  4. Dash
  5. Hold the jump button until landing

The full sequence looks like this:

Jump → Big Jump → Drill Driver → Dash → Hold Jump Until Landing

Maintaining movement in one direction is critical. Any hesitation or directional change can cause the attempt to fail.

Important Achievement Requirement

One detail that can easily be missed is where you start the jump.

Make sure Lena is visible on your screen when beginning the attempt.

Some players have reported successfully clearing the distance but not receiving the achievement because the jump was started from the wrong side of the area, causing Lena to be off-screen.

If you’re consistently making the jump but not unlocking the achievement, this is likely the reason.

Understanding the Timing

The achievement isn’t difficult because of the distance alone. The timing between abilities is extremely precise.

Step 1: Start with a Regular Jump

The regular jump serves as the setup for the larger jump chain.

Step 2: Perform the Big Jump

Immediately transition into the boosted jump to gain maximum height and distance.

Step 3: Use Drill Driver Before Dashing

This is where many attempts fail.

Most players instinctively dash first, but doing so prevents the Drill Driver from being used correctly.

Always activate the Drill Driver before your dash.

Step 4: Delay the Dash Slightly

Do not dash instantly after using Drill Driver.

If you dash too quickly, the game may trigger a glide-like movement that reduces your overall distance.

Wait a brief moment before activating the dash.

Step 5: Activate Glide at the Correct Time

After dashing, hold the jump button to extend your airtime.

Timing is important because:

  • Activating too early may fail.
  • You only get one effective glide sequence during the jump.
  • Mistiming earlier inputs can prevent the glide from working correctly.

The entire movement chain must flow together smoothly.

Opossum Impressem is less about finding a secret location and more about mastering a movement combo. Once you have all required equipment, expect to spend a few attempts learning the timing between the Drill Driver, dash, and glide. After the sequence clicks, clearing the 10-tile jump becomes much more consistent, allowing you to unlock one of Mina the Hollower’s more challenging movement-based achievements.
