The Keen Eye achievement in Dimhaven: The Lost Source is tied to the Beach Photo Challenge. To complete it, you’ll need to find and photograph several specific objects and locations scattered around the island.
The game doesn’t give much direction beyond the challenge list itself, which means it’s easy to miss a few of the more obscure photo targets. Some can be completed early, while others require story progression, keys, or access to new areas.
This guide covers every photo challenge location and the fastest order to complete them while progressing through the game.
Dimhaven The Lost Source Keen Eye Achievement Guide
Before you can begin, head to the notice board located near the Visa Office.
Interacting with the board unlocks the Beach Photo Challenge and gives you a checklist of ten photo targets:
- A Beautiful Picture
- A Horrible Selfie
- A Sleepy Cat
- A Rebel
- Zack’s House
- Someone’s Breakfast
- Someone’s Lunch
- Someone’s Dinner
- Captain’s Pipe
- Something Locked From The Inside
Once the challenge is active, start taking photos of the required locations.
A Beautiful Picture
This is usually one of the first objectives players complete without even realizing it.
For a guaranteed completion, take a photo of the “Welcome to Dimhaven” sign.
The sign is easy to spot near the early game area and immediately satisfies the requirement.
A Horrible Selfie
Behind the Visa Office you’ll find a broken mirror.
Take a photograph of the mirror to complete the Horrible Selfie challenge.
It’s a quick objective and can be finished almost immediately after starting the photo hunt.
Something Locked From The Inside
Locate the portable toilet near the beach area.
Step inside and engage the lock before taking a picture.
Many players forget to actually lock the door first, which prevents the challenge from counting.
Captain’s Pipe
After leaving the portable toilet, turn right and head toward the boats.
Look underneath the boats in the crawl space area.
The Captain’s Pipe can be found resting on the left side beneath the structure.
Take a photo of it to complete the challenge.
Someone’s Breakfast
Progress through the story until you obtain access to the Baywatch Hut.
Inside you’ll find the breakfast setup required for the challenge.
Snap a picture and the objective will be marked as complete.
A Rebel
After unlocking access back to the crash site area, return to the location where your adventure originally began.
You’ll find a character that fulfills the Rebel requirement.
Take a photo and move on to the next objective.
Zack’s House
Continue progressing until electrical power has been restored.
Once power is active, you’ll be able to lower the staircase leading to the sign above the Baywatch Hut.
From this elevated area, take a picture of Zack’s House.
This location is also connected to another challenge objective.
Someone’s Dinner
While standing near Zack’s House, you’ll notice the dinner setup nearby.
Take a photo here and you’ll complete Someone’s Dinner at the same time.
Since both objectives are located together, it’s best to finish them during the same visit.
Someone’s Lunch
Collect all available coins throughout the island.
Once you’ve gathered enough, purchase snacks and trade them to the seagull that stole your passport.
After completing the trade, photograph the meal spread to finish the Lunch objective.
This is one of the later challenges because it requires collecting all coins first.
A Sleepy Cat
After recovering your passport from the seagull trade, continue moving straight ahead from that location.
A sleeping cat can be found nearby.
Take a picture of the feline and the final challenge requirement will be completed.
Achievement Completion
Once all ten photos have been successfully taken, the Beach Photo Challenge will be fully completed and the Keen Eye achievement will unlock.
