Demon Born Breathing Style Tier List – Blood Demon Arts

One of the biggest decisions you’ll make in Demon Born happens right at the beginning of the game. You’ll either become a Demon Slayer or choose the Demon path, and that single choice determines your entire combat system. Demon Slayers unlock Breathing Styles, while Demons gain access to powerful Blood Demon Arts (BDAs).

Since switching paths isn’t something you can casually do later, it’s worth knowing which abilities are performing best before you invest your time. Some excel in PvP, others make grinding much easier, and a few simply outperform everything else in the current meta.

Below is our updated June 2026 Demon Born Tier List, ranking every available Breathing Style and Blood Demon Art.

Demon Born Tier List (June 2026)

S Tier

These abilities currently sit at the top of the meta and perform exceptionally well across most content.

Thunder Breathing (Breathing Style)

Thunder Breathing is currently the strongest Breathing Style available.

It comes with six forms, including two cinematic attacks that not only look impressive but also deliver excellent damage. The move set includes multiple gap-closing dashes, allowing you to pressure enemies before they have time to react.

Another advantage is its combination of mobility and range. Alongside several fast movement skills, Thunder Breathing also features a projectile attack, giving it more flexibility than most other styles.

String BDA (Blood Demon Art)

Among the current Blood Demon Arts, String BDA stands above the rest.

Its combination of offensive pressure, utility, and reliable combat performance makes it the strongest option for Demon players during the current update.

If you’re following the Demon path and have access to String BDA, there’s very little reason to reroll unless future updates significantly change the meta.

A Tier

These abilities remain excellent choices and are capable of handling every part of the game.

Insect Breathing (Breathing Style)

Insect Breathing focuses on powerful attacks instead of a large move pool.

Although it only has four moves, every attack deals impressive damage, making it especially dangerous during PvP.

Highlights

  • Four powerful skills
  • Excellent burst damage
  • Strong PvP performance
  • Easy-to-learn move set

It narrowly misses the top tier only because Thunder Breathing offers greater versatility.

Water Breathing (Breathing Style)

Water Breathing remains one of the easiest styles to recommend for newer players.

The style includes six forms, smooth attack animations, and very little startup time, making combat feel fast and responsive.

Its damage output isn’t quite on the same level as Thunder or Insect, but it performs extremely well while progressing through quests and defeating NPCs.

Highlights

  • Six forms
  • Minimal attack wind-up
  • Reliable combos
  • Excellent PvE performance
  • Beginner-friendly gameplay

Ice BDA (Blood Demon Art)

Ice BDA earns its place in A Tier thanks to its solid overall performance.

While it doesn’t quite match the consistency of String BDA, it remains a reliable option for Demon players looking for a powerful Blood Demon Art.

B Tier

These abilities are perfectly usable but don’t offer the same level of consistency as higher-ranked options.

Swamp BDA

Swamp BDA performs reasonably well in combat and can comfortably carry players through much of the game.

However, compared to the stronger Blood Demon Arts, it lacks the same overall impact.

Temari (Ball) BDA

Temari BDA provides decent offensive capabilities but falls slightly behind the higher-ranked Demon Arts in terms of overall effectiveness.

It’s still a viable option if you enjoy its playstyle or haven’t unlocked stronger alternatives.

C Tier

Drum BDA

Drum BDA can still be used successfully, but it struggles to compete with the stronger Blood Demon Arts currently available.

Most players will eventually want to reroll once they obtain additional spins.

D Tier

Arrow BDA

Arrow BDA currently sits at the bottom of the rankings.

While it remains usable for early progression, its overall performance is noticeably weaker than the other available Demon Arts.

If you have rerolls available, upgrading to almost any higher-tier Blood Demon Art will provide a much smoother experience.

Current Meta Picks

If you’re looking for the strongest options available in June 2026, these are the safest choices.

Best Breathing Style

Thunder Breathing

  • Outstanding damage
  • Excellent mobility
  • Long-range attacks
  • Six forms
  • Strong performance in both PvP and PvE

Best Blood Demon Art

String BDA

  • Top-tier damage output
  • Reliable overall performance
  • Strong choice for Demon players

The current Demon Born meta strongly favors Thunder Breathing for Demon Slayers and String BDA for Demons. Thunder Breathing offers an excellent balance of mobility, range, and damage, making it the strongest all-around Breathing Style in the game. Meanwhile, String BDA continues to dominate among Blood Demon Arts thanks to its consistent performance across different types of content.

If you don’t have access to these top-tier options, Insect Breathing, Water Breathing, and Ice BDA remain excellent alternatives that can comfortably carry you through quests, boss fights, and PvP while you work toward your ideal build.
