Each new region introduces stronger enemies that drop the next tier of equipment.
Manual 2 Drop Location
Manual 2 is one of the first important upgrades after beginning the game.

This area introduces one of your first weapon upgrades.

The Classic Sword offers noticeably better damage than your starter equipment and is worth farming before moving further into the game.
If the drop doesn’t appear immediately, keep farming. Like most Roblox RPGs, drops rely on RNG.
Manual 4 & Jian Slash Skill
Once you reach the next region, you’ll want to farm for:

- Jian Sword Slash Skill
Manual 4 continues increasing your cultivation progression, while the Jian Slash skill gives you another offensive ability that helps clear groups of enemies faster.
This is usually where combat starts becoming much more ability-focused instead of relying only on basic attacks.
Body Manual 4
Body Manual 4 is another defensive upgrade that shouldn’t be skipped.
Even if your damage feels good, enemies begin hitting much harder around this stage.
A stronger Body Manual means:
- Higher survivability
- Easier boss fights
- Less potion usage
- Faster farming sessions
Manual 5 & Jian Double Slash
The next farming area introduces:

Double Slash is a direct upgrade over earlier sword techniques and becomes one of the better damage skills during mid-game.

Body Manual 5

Like previous body manuals, this improves your overall durability.
Many experienced players recommend keeping your Body Manual progression close to your cultivation manual progression instead of neglecting it.
Body Manual 6
Body Manual 6 is one of the stronger upgrades shown in the progression path.
By the time you’re farming for this manual, enemies are considerably stronger, so expect longer farming sessions and tougher fights.
Once equipped, you’ll notice a significant improvement in survivability against higher-level NPCs and bosses.
Manual 6, Winter Edge & Frost Skills
One of the biggest upgrades comes from this area.
Possible drops include:
- Manual 6
- Frozen Magic Slash Skill
- Winter Edge
- Triple Slash Skill
- Frost Blade
This is an excellent farming location because multiple valuable rewards drop from the same enemies.
Winter Edge is a powerful weapon upgrade, while Triple Slash becomes one of the stronger sword techniques available during this stage.
If you’re lucky enough to obtain several drops in one session, you’ll progress much faster.
Fire Skills
Later in the game, you’ll encounter several elemental fire abilities.
These include:
Searing Sand
A fire-based offensive skill that deals consistent damage during combat.
Fireball
One of the classic ranged abilities.
Fireball lets you attack enemies before they get close, making it especially useful when farming groups of NPCs.
Ring of Fire
Creates an area-of-effect attack that damages nearby enemies.
This skill shines when you’re surrounded by multiple opponents.
Fire Breath
Fire Breath unleashes continuous fire damage directly in front of your character.
It’s particularly effective during boss encounters where you can stay close to the target.
Sword Mastery
Sword Mastery is a unique progression system in Cultivation Dao Online.
Instead of only increasing your damage, it also changes your character’s appearance.
The higher your Sword Mastery level becomes, the more swords your character can display on their back.
For example:
- Low Sword Mastery = fewer swords equipped visually
- Higher Sword Mastery = additional swords appear behind your character
This serves as both a progression indicator and a cosmetic achievement that shows other players how far you’ve advanced.
Level Alchemy and Harvest Mastery
Technically, yes—they’re part of the game.
Realistically, though, most players don’t spend much time on them early.
Alchemy and Harvest Mastery require gathering resources and crafting pills yourself.
Unless you specifically enjoy crafting systems, it’s usually much faster to simply purchase pills from the Merchant NPC.
Buying pills lets you spend more time farming manuals, skills, and equipment instead of collecting ingredients.
For beginners, that’s generally the more efficient approach.
Where to Find Active Codes
Many new players completely miss this feature.
Open the menu and look for the scroll icon next to the star.
Inside you’ll find:

- Patch notes
- Active redeem codes
Whenever the game receives a new update, this is usually the first place where developers post new codes.
It’s worth checking after every major update since free rewards can help speed up your progression.
