Trying to earn every achievement in Hot Dogs, Horseshoes & Hand Grenades (H3VR)? Some unlock naturally as you play, while others require completing specific game modes or performing unusual actions that the game never really explains.
This guide covers every currently known achievement along with the easiest way to unlock each one. If you’re going for 100% completion, it’s worth checking off the simple achievements first before moving on to the longer grind.
Hot Dogs, Horseshoes & Hand Grenades Achievement Guide
These achievements can all be unlocked in Sandbox or during normal gameplay.
First One’s Free
- Fire your very first gun.
This is the first achievement most players unlock.
Shooting Novice
- Fire guns 100 times.
Simply keep shooting. You’ll unlock this very early.
Shooting Veteran
- Fire guns 100,000 times.
This is one of the biggest grind achievements in H3VR.
Fastest method:
- Use the M134 Portable Minigun or another fully automatic weapon with lots of ammo.
- Hold the trigger and keep firing until the achievement unlocks.
I Love To Reload In Battle
- Reload firearms 250 times.
Reload any weapon repeatedly. Magazine-fed weapons make this much faster.
Tinkerer
- Equip 2 attachments on one firearm.
Attach any two compatible accessories.
Tacticool Expert
- Equip 10 attachments on one firearm.
Keep adding compatible accessories until the weapon reaches ten attachments.
Lagosaurus Rex
- Equip 25 attachments on one firearm.
This is mostly for fun.
Try adding:
- Optics
- Lasers
- Flashlights
- Barrel extensions
- Grips
- Stocks
- Decorative attachments
until you reach 25.
Happy To See You
- Create a firearm with a barrel longer than 3 meters.
The easiest method is:
- Open the attachment menu.
- Select Barrel Extension Long.
- Continue attaching barrel extensions until the weapon exceeds three meters.
Indecisive
- Spawn 25 firearms at once.
Simply spawn the same weapon repeatedly until there are 25 weapons in the scene.
Buffet Sampler
- Fire 100 different guns.
If you regularly experiment with weapons, you’ll eventually unlock this naturally.
Playing Take & Hold with Ricky Dicky Random speeds this up considerably.
Downright Wasteful
- Throw away 10 guns.
Drop ten firearms into the Destructobin, located near the weapon table on Sandbox maps.
Longest Range
- Hit a Sosig from over 1 kilometer away.
Recommended maps:
- Duney Range
- Sniper Range
Spawn a stationary Sosig and land a hit. You don’t need to kill it.
Peak Reflexes
- Catch a shell casing in midair.
Use an automatic weapon with a large magazine.
While firing:
- Watch where shell casings eject.
- Grab one before it hits the ground.
The Twin Tobiwan
- Insert two magazines into two guns within one second.
An easy setup:
- Spawn two pistols.
- Place two loaded magazines upright.
- Grab both pistols and insert the magazines simultaneously.
Explosive & Melee Achievements
Ears Still Ringin’
- Trigger five explosions near yourself within one second.
The easiest method:
- Place five C4 charges beneath yourself.
- Detonate them together.
Here’s Doggy
- Break down a door using a melee weapon.
Load into Grillhouse, grab an axe or sledgehammer, and smash through a door.
Mode-Based Achievements
These require specific game modes.
World Tour
- Visit 20 different maps or game modes.
Simply explore everything H3VR offers.
Take & Hold Achievements
Holdmaster
- Complete 25 Take & Hold runs.
Using Blitz Mode with the 3-Hold Short setting is the quickest option.
Chunky Monkey
- Eat 100 Meaty Powerups.
These appear in:
- Take & Hold
- Return of the Rotwieners
Codebreaker
- Destroy a boss encryption in under 10 seconds.
Enable All Types (3x) boss encryptions to make this easier.
Use powerful explosive weapons for quick clears.
Locked Out
- Fail to destroy an encryption before time expires.
Simply allow the timer to run out during a defense phase.
Campaign & Adventure Achievements
He’ll Be Right Back
- Complete Wurstwurld.
You’ll need to finish every challenge, including:
- Horseshoe Golf
- Shooting puzzles
- Bounty hunting
- Environmental puzzles
Collect every horseshoe key before opening the Staff Only area.
Honey Baked Hero
- Complete Return of the Rotwieners.
Finish the main storyline.
Meatmas Is Saved
- Complete Winter Wasteland.
Reach the end of the Meatmas adventure campaign.
Saucemaster
- Earn a medal in every M.E.A.T.S. challenge.
Complete all challenge types, including:
- Getting Started
- Casual Plinkin’
- Open Season
- Lightning Reflexes
- Six Shooter
- Mental Gymnastics
- Spray & Pray
- Down Range
Welldone Meat
- Complete Meat Grinder.
Locate all three meat pieces hidden throughout the randomized maze.
Other Achievements
Kablaamo
- Score over 100,000,000 points in Boomskee.
Aim for higher-level targets because they award significantly more points.
Trophy targets provide the biggest score boosts.
Hidden Achievements
Friendly Fire
- Damage yourself or a teammate.
The fastest method is simply shooting yourself.
Inflammable
- Set yourself on fire.
Use:
- Flamethrowers
- Fire-based explosives
- Aerosol spray with a lighter
Anything that ignites your character works.
Unsecured Wiener
- Fire a suppressor before tightening it.
Attach a suppressor but don’t screw it in completely.
Fire the weapon and let the suppressor fly off.
Compulsive Gambler
- Recycle 10 guns during one Take & Hold run.
Endless Mode on the Institution map is recommended since recyclers appear at every supply point.
Floating Point Failure
- Travel too far from the world origin.
At the time of writing, there isn’t a consistently confirmed method for unlocking this achievement.
Glutton For Punishment
- Complete Bullshoot’s Secret Endings.
The exact unlock requirements are still unclear and are being investigated by the community.
99 Egg Omelet Achievement
This is easily one of the longest achievements in H3VR.
Requirement
- Collect and eat all 99 Easter Eggs hidden across the game.
Tips
- Equip the Easter Egg Hunt attachment.
- Open the egg tracker to view:
- Total eggs collected
- Direction to the nearest egg
- Bring a reliable weapon for fighting Sosigs.
- Use movement tools like the Grappling Hook Gun to travel faster.
- Consider saving your favorite equipment as a custom loadout before beginning the hunt.
Patience is the biggest requirement here, but the tracker attachment makes the process much more manageable.
