Boss Rush Mode is easily one of the toughest challenges in Dinoblade. Beating the main story is only the beginning—this mode throws every Alpha predator at you back-to-back without giving you much room to recover. If you’ve mastered the campaign and are looking for the game’s ultimate skill test, this is where you’ll spend most of your time.
The biggest difference compared to the campaign is that mistakes matter far more. A single hit during an early fight can make the final battle significantly harder, so consistency is much more important than simply dealing high damage.
Here’s everything you need to know before jumping into Boss Rush.
Dinoblade Boss Rush Guide – How to Unlock, Boss Order
Boss Rush Mode only becomes available after finishing the main story.
To unlock it, you’ll need to complete the entire campaign and defeat every Alpha predator, including the final T-Rex boss.
Unlock Requirements
| Requirement | Details |
|---|---|
| Finish the campaign | Defeat all four Alpha predators |
| Defeat the final boss | Beat the Alpha T-Rex |
| Completed save file | Must exist on your profile |
| New Game+ | Not required |
| Access | Appears in the main menu after finishing the story |
Once unlocked, Boss Rush is completely separate from the campaign. You can launch it directly from the main menu whenever you want.
One important thing to remember is that your current campaign build carries into Boss Rush. Your unlocked skills, equipment, and upgrades remain exactly as they were when you completed the story.
Boss Rush Rules Explained
Although the fights themselves are familiar, the rules completely change how you approach them.
Main Rules
| Rule | Details |
|---|---|
| Bosses fight one after another | No choosing encounters |
| Campaign build carries over | Skills and upgrades remain |
| Equipment carries over | Current weapons stay equipped |
| Posture meter resets | Begins fresh every boss |
| No checkpoints | Losing restarts the entire run |
| Completion timer | Tracks your fastest clear |
The biggest challenge comes from limited or no healing between bosses.
During the campaign you normally recover between major encounters, but Boss Rush removes that safety net.
If you finish one boss with half your health remaining, you’ll begin the next fight with that same health. Because of this, even small mistakes early in the run become much more costly later.
Boss Rush Boss Order
The bosses always appear in the same order.
1. Styracosaurus
This is the opening fight and usually the easiest boss in the entire rush.
While it’s tempting to play aggressively because the encounter is familiar, this is actually where you should play the cleanest.
Your objective isn’t simply to win.
It’s to preserve as much health as possible.
Tips
- Focus on perfect parries.
- Avoid unnecessary risks.
- Break posture quickly.
- Don’t get greedy with extra attacks.
A nearly perfect Styracosaurus fight gives you a huge advantage for the rest of the run.
2. Carnotaurus
The second fight increases the pressure considerably.
Carnotaurus attacks faster and frequently mixes standard swings with dangerous charging attacks.
Tips
- Continue relying on parries.
- Dodge every unblockable charge.
- Punish after successful deflections.
- Don’t chase when the boss creates distance.
One common mistake is trying to interrupt the charge attacks. They’re much safer to dodge than to challenge.
3. Kira
Kira is widely considered the most mechanically demanding encounter.
Unlike the previous bosses, you’re not only watching Kira—you also need to deal with additional enemies that can easily distract you.
Tips
- Keep your lock-on focused on Kira.
- Position yourself to avoid smaller enemies.
- Only attack when you have a safe opening.
- Stay patient during multi-enemy moments.
Most failed Boss Rush attempts happen during this fight because players lose track of Kira while dealing with the extra enemies.
4. Alpha T-Rex
Everything you’ve learned throughout the campaign comes together here.
The T-Rex uses multiple phases, powerful melee attacks, grabs, and weapon swings that require precise reactions.
Tips
- Parry normal attacks.
- Dodge grab attacks.
- Stay calm during phase transitions.
- Don’t become impatient if the fight lasts longer than expected.
If you’ve preserved enough health during the previous bosses, this fight becomes much more manageable.
Best Skill Build for Boss Rush
Since your campaign build carries over, spending your skill points wisely before entering Boss Rush can make a noticeable difference.
Balanced Build (Recommended)
This setup works well for most players.
| Skill | Suggested Rank | Why It Helps |
|---|---|---|
| Health Upgrade | 2-3 | Larger health pool for the entire run |
| Parry Window | 1-2 | Makes perfect deflections more consistent |
| Posture Damage | 2-3 | Faster stagger opportunities |
| Combo Extension | 1 | Extra damage after successful parries |
| Charge Attack Boost | 1 | Stronger punish damage |
| AoE Skill | 0-1 | Mostly useful during Kira |
This build offers a good mix of survivability and damage without sacrificing consistency.
Aggressive Build
If you’re already confident with perfect parries, you can focus almost entirely on damage.
Recommended Investment
| Skill | Rank |
|---|---|
| Health | 1 |
| Posture Damage | 3 |
| Combo Extension | 2-3 |
| Charge Attack | 2 |
| Parry Window | 0-1 |
This setup allows bosses to fall much faster, but you’ll have very little room for mistakes.
It’s best suited for experienced players who already know every boss pattern.
Boss Rush Rewards
Although the exact rewards may change with future updates, players generally receive recognition for completing Boss Rush.
Possible rewards include:
- Personal completion times
- Fastest clear records
- Cosmetic unlocks
- Achievements or trophies
- Bragging rights for mastering the game’s combat
For many players, the real reward is proving they’ve mastered Dinoblade’s combat system from start to finish.
Boss Rush Mode strips Dinoblade down to its purest form. There’s no exploration, no downtime, and very little room for recovery—just four Alpha predators standing between you and victory. Success comes from preparation as much as execution, so take the time to refine your build, memorise each boss’s attack patterns, and learn when to parry versus when to dodge. Once those fundamentals become second nature, Boss Rush transforms from an overwhelming gauntlet into one of the most satisfying challenges the game has to offer.
