Hunt Showdown 1896 Crased Ballons Location (October 2026)

If you’ve been jumping into Hunt: Showdown 1896 during the Road to Hell event and wondering what those new crashed balloons are actually for, you’re in the right place.

The Crashed Balloon Supply locations are one of the newer additions to the event, and they’re worth checking whenever you come across one. They aren’t just there for decoration either. These locations can give you several useful rewards, including weapons, Hunt Dollars, ammo, and the new Confiscated Cargo Crate.

I’ve put together the locations below so you can quickly check the map you’re playing on and know what to look for.

What Are Crashed Balloon Supply Locations in Hunt: Showdown 1896?

Crashed Balloon Supply locations are new points of interest added as Road to Hell moves into its final stage.

When you find one, you can loot a selection of useful supplies. The rewards available at these locations include:

  • A random free Scarce Weapon
  • A random weapon
  • Hunt Dollar Purses
  • A Confiscated Cargo Crate
  • A random Ammo Box that can be used for ammo swaps

The biggest reason I’d recommend checking these locations, though, is the Confiscated Cargo Crate. Unlike some of the other loot you might find while roaming the map, the new Crashed Balloon POIs are guaranteed to have one.

So if you’re specifically hunting for the new Cargo Crate, these locations should be high on your list.

New Confiscated Cargo Crate Explained

The Confiscated Cargo Crate is another new type of Cargo Crate introduced with the event.

Think of it as a reward container that gives you random rewards when you successfully extract it. The idea is somewhat similar to the rewards you can get from Dark Tribute, so you won’t necessarily know exactly what you’re getting before opening it.

There’s also a chance for a Confiscated Cargo Crate to spawn at the Stronghold, although the chances of finding one there are increased during the special Chapter 3 weekends.

That makes the Crashed Balloon locations particularly useful because you don’t have to rely on a lucky Stronghold spawn.

Confiscated Cargo Crate Weekend Schedule

If you’re planning to farm the Stronghold for these crates, keep an eye on the Chapter 3 weekend schedule.

The event weekends are:

  • Weekend #1: August 8, 2026, 08:00 UTC – August 10, 2026, 08:00 UTC
  • Weekend #2: August 15, 2026, 08:00 UTC – August 17, 2026, 08:00 UTC
  • Weekend #3: August 22, 2026, 08:00 UTC – August 24, 2026, 08:00 UTC
  • Weekend #4: August 29, 2026, 08:00 UTC – August 31, 2026, 08:00 UTC
  • Weekend #5: September 5, 2026, 08:00 UTC – September 7, 2026, 08:00 UTC

During these weekends, the Stronghold has a higher chance of spawning the Confiscated Cargo Crate.

That said, if you don’t want to leave things to chance, the Crashed Balloon POIs are the safer option because they have a guaranteed Confiscated Cargo Crate.

Stillwater Bayou Crashed Balloon Locations

Stillwater Bayou Crashed Balloon Locations

Use the Stillwater Bayou map image above to identify the Crashed Balloon Supply locations.

When moving through the map, keep an eye out for the crashed balloon itself and the supply area surrounding it. These locations can be particularly useful when you’re already rotating through nearby compounds and don’t want to make a huge detour for loot.

Lawson Delta Crashed Balloon Locations

Lawson Delta Crashed Balloon Locations

The Lawson Delta map also contains Crashed Balloon Supply locations.

If you’re playing a match where the balloon is close to your rotation, it can be worth making the quick stop. You’re potentially getting weapons, money, ammo and, most importantly, the Confiscated Cargo Crate from the same location.

DeSalle Crashed Balloon Locations

DeSalle Crashed Balloon Locations

DeSalle has its own Crashed Balloon Supply locations to check.

As always in Hunt, don’t treat the balloon as completely free loot. Other Hunters can obviously have the same idea, especially during the event when players are actively looking for the new Cargo Crates.

If you see that another team has already been around the location, take a second to listen and check your surroundings before committing to the loot.

Mammon’s Gulch Crashed Balloon Locations

Mammon’s Gulch is another map where you can find the new Crashed Balloon Supply locations.

The same rewards are available here, including the guaranteed Confiscated Cargo Crate at the Crashed Balloon POI.

If you’re already rotating through this part of the map, checking the balloon can be a nice little loot boost before moving on toward your next objective.

What Rewards Can You Get From a Crashed Balloon?

The Crashed Balloon Supply locations can contain several different rewards, so they’re useful even if you aren’t specifically searching for the Cargo Crate.

Here’s what you can expect:

Random Free Scarce Weapon:
You can get a random Scarce Weapon without having to spend Hunt Dollars on it.

Random Weapon:
There’s also a random weapon available, which can be useful if your current loadout isn’t exactly what you wanted.

Hunt Dollar Purses:
These give you extra Hunt Dollars and are always worth grabbing when you’re already at the location.

Confiscated Cargo Crate:
This is the main attraction. Crashed Balloon POIs guarantee one of these new crates.

Random Ammo Box:
You’ll also find an Ammo Box that can be used for ammo swaps, which can be handy if you’re running low during a longer match.
