Greedy Greedy Gnomes 100% Achievements Guide

Greedy Greedy Gnomes has a fairly straightforward achievement list, but several achievements are tied to specific locations, purchases, puzzles, potions, and later-game progression. Most of the achievements can be completed on the same map as you work toward the later areas, so there is no need to rush into starting another run.

The easiest approach is to work through the map naturally while picking up the important items and unlocking the required buildings. The Kalimba is especially important because several achievements depend on it, while the keys from Quentin gradually open up more of the map and eventually lead you to the dungeon.

Below is a full achievement walkthrough in a practical order.

Easy Money

The Easy Money achievement is one of the first achievements you can unlock.

Start by entering the first house with Gideon and Nora. There will be a pot inside the house that you can interact with.

Simply break your first pot.

You do not need any special item or preparation for this achievement. It should happen naturally during the opening section of the game.

Entrepreneur

The Entrepreneur achievement requires you to hire your first gnome.

Start by talking to Gideon in the first house. He will give you an Invitation.

After receiving the Invitation, leave the house and go to the house directly to the right. Knock on the door and enter the building.

There will be a seller inside who allows you to purchase your first gnome.

Buy the gnome to unlock Entrepreneur.

If you have already purchased a gnome but the achievement has not appeared, make sure the gnome has actually been hired rather than simply interacting with the seller.

Caffeine

The Caffeine achievement requires you to get a coffee.

During your first playthrough, progress until you have purchased the Inn.

Once the Inn is available, Jana will have the opportunity to purchase coffee inside.

Buy the coffee when the option appears and the achievement will unlock.

This is one of those achievements that is easy to overlook because there is no complicated puzzle involved. Once the Inn becomes available, make sure you check what Jana can purchase rather than immediately moving on.

Kalimba

The Kalimba achievement is important because obtaining the Kalimba also gives you access to several other achievement-related puzzles later.

First, buy the key to the cabin in the forest.

Use the key to enter the cabin, where you will meet Arando, the carpenter.

Purchase the Kalimba from Arando.

Once you have the Kalimba, keep it with you. You will need it for more than one achievement, including the weather puzzle and the cat puzzle.

Climate Controller

The Climate Controller achievement requires you to stop the rain using the Kalimba.

After obtaining the Kalimba, travel to the eastern side of the map, near the shore. You should find an area where it is raining.

Equip or activate the Kalimba and position the clouds in the center of the interaction area.

Play the following sequence:

6 → 2 → 4 → I → 7

Once the sequence is entered correctly, the melody will repeat.

The clouds will then disperse and the rain will stop. A new character will appear below the area.

The achievement should unlock once the weather has been changed.

If the sequence does not work, make sure the clouds are positioned correctly in the center before entering the notes.

Elixir Pecuniae

The Elixir Pecuniae achievement requires you to create the potion of greed.

First, purchase the key to the Wizard’s Tower.

Enter the tower and use the stairs to climb all the way to the top. You will find Lorak waiting there.

Talk to Lorak and purchase Permission.

After obtaining Permission, go down one floor until you reach the cauldron.

Interact with the cauldron and use the three ingredients in this exact order:

1 → 3 → 2

The correct combination will create the potion of greed and unlock Elixir Pecuniae.

Make sure you enter the ingredients in the correct order because changing the sequence produces a different potion.

Elixir Convinciae

You can create Elixir Convinciae at the same cauldron in the sorceress’s tower.

You do not need to leave the tower after creating the previous potion.

Interact with the cauldron and select the ingredients in this order:

2 → 1 → 3

Using the correct sequence will create the potion of persuasion and unlock the achievement.

Rotten Potion

The Rotten Potion achievement is actually easier than the other potion achievements because you deliberately need to make the wrong recipe.

Go to the potion cauldron in the sorceress’s tower.

Instead of using one of the combinations listed on the sheet next to the cauldron, enter a combination that is not listed.

For example, use:

1 → 2 → 3

Because this is not one of the correct recipes, you will create the rotten potion.

The achievement will unlock once the incorrect potion has been produced.

Elixir Herculis

For Elixir Herculis, return to the potion cauldron and prepare the strength potion.

Use the ingredients in this order:

3 → 2 → 1

The correct sequence creates the potion of strength and unlocks the achievement.

If you are working through the potion achievements together, there is no reason to leave the tower between these recipes. You can create the different potions one after another.

Elixir Incendium

The Elixir Incendium achievement is tied to later progression because its required ingredient is not available immediately.

First, purchase the last key from the building at the very top of the map.

This gives you access to the Dungeons.

Enter the dungeon and defeat one of the bosses inside.

After defeating a boss, return to the tower and visit the witch and her cauldron again.

The new ingredient required for the damage potion should now be available.

Use the ingredients in this order:

4 → 1 → 2

The resulting potion is the potion of damage, which unlocks Elixir Incendium.

Sacrifice

The Sacrifice achievement requires you to sacrifice one of your gnomes.

First, return to the location where you previously dispersed the clouds using the Kalimba.

You will find Prunila there.

Take one of your gnomes to Prunila and sacrifice it.

If the game does not allow you to sacrifice the gnome, check whether that gnome is currently assigned to work inside a house. Remove the gnome from its workplace first, then return to Prunila and try again.

Once the gnome has been sacrificed, Sacrifice will unlock.

Rude

The Rude achievement is connected directly to Prunila.

After you have brought at least one sacrifice to Prunila, interact with her again.

You will have the opportunity to insult her.

Go ahead and do it.

There is no complicated requirement here. Once you offend Prunila, the Rude achievement will unlock.

The Guardian

The Guardian is one of the more time-consuming achievements because it requires you to collect a large number of glowing shards.

While exploring the map, look for the luminous shards scattered around the world.

Interact with a shard to begin the related ghost quest.

You will find the ghost at the bottom-right area of the map near the shore. The ghost asks you to collect its lost souls.

Continue collecting the glowing shards throughout the map.

You need to collect 120 shards.

Once you have collected enough, a portal will open that leads to the House of Souls.

Enter the house to complete the requirement for The Guardian.

Do not worry if this achievement takes a while. The shards are spread throughout the map, so it is much easier to collect them naturally while exploring rather than trying to search for all 120 at once.

Guest

The Guest achievement requires you to buy every key from Quentin.

Find Quentin and continue purchasing his available keys as you progress.

Some keys require you to have enough money or reach the appropriate stage of progression, so you may not be able to purchase everything immediately.

Keep returning to Quentin whenever you have progressed further and have enough money.

Once you have purchased all of the keys, the achievement will unlock.

Buying the final key is especially important because it also opens access to the dungeon at the top of the map.

The First Dungeon

Once you have purchased the final key from Quentin, you can access the Dungeon at the top of the map.

Enter the dungeon and progress through it until you encounter the boss.

Defeat the boss to unlock The First Dungeon.

This is also an important step for other achievements because dungeon progression eventually gives you access to materials needed for later puzzles.

Retirement

The Retirement achievement requires a huge amount of money.

You need to reach:

1,000,000,000 coins

That is one billion coins.

Continue making money and progressing through the game until your total reaches one billion.

The counter will move through the millions and eventually reach 999M, after which the billion mark will appear.

Once you reach 1B coins, Retirement will unlock.

This is not something you need to grind immediately at the beginning. It is much easier to work toward the money requirement while completing the rest of the map and unlocking new areas.

The Mayor’s Savings

For The Mayor’s Savings, you need to find the mayor’s hidden sack.

First, open the Mayor’s house.

Go inside and interact with the nightstand.

A hint will appear telling you which tree near the mayor’s house contains the hidden item.

Leave the house and interact with the indicated tree.

The sack will be revealed, allowing you to collect it and unlock The Mayor’s Savings.

If you are unsure which tree the clue refers to, check the area immediately around the mayor’s house rather than searching the entire map.

Inconvenient

The Inconvenient achievement requires you to wake up a sleeping cat using the Kalimba.

Take the Kalimba you purchased from Arando and travel toward the upper-right corner of the map.

Find the sleeping cat.

Interact with the Kalimba and make sure the cat is positioned in the center of the interaction area.

Then play this sequence:

1 → 2 → 4 → 5 → 3 → 6

The music should repeat after you enter the sequence.

Once the sequence is correct, the cat will wake up and the Inconvenient achievement will unlock.

If nothing happens, reposition the Kalimba until the cat is clearly centered before trying the sequence again.

The Origin

The The Origin achievement requires you to find the Midas skull.

Enter the cave and descend all the way to the 100th floor.

The Midas skull can be found there.

You will have to make a fairly deep trip into the cave, so do not expect to find the skull near the entrance.

Once you reach Floor 100 and find the skull, interact with it to unlock The Origin.

Discovery

Discovery is a later achievement that requires several previous pieces of progression.

First, close all of the prestige in Hell together with Mammon.

Once that has been completed, return to the cat and wake it up again using the Kalimba.

After waking the cat, climb the Yggdrasil tree with it.

Continue all the way to the top.

You will eventually reach a rainbow bridge.

Walk across the bridge.

You will discover the secret explaining the origin of the dwarves.

Interact with the discovery to unlock Discovery.

The order matters here. Make sure the Hell and Mammon progression is finished before waking the cat for this part.

New Offering

After completing Discovery, you can work toward New Offering.

Return to the dwarves’ shop and find Gael.

The achievement requires you to sacrifice Gael.

Interact with Gael and perform the sacrifice.

Once the sacrifice is completed, New Offering will unlock.

In Hell

The final achievement in this chain is In Hell.

After completing the previous steps, you will become a dwarf seller.

At this point, look around the area and find the note on the table. You can read it if you want, but the important part is what you do afterward.

Interact with the gear and select Save and Exit.

That is the unusual part of this achievement.

After saving and exiting from this state, the In Hell achievement should unlock.

Finding the Kalimba Music Sequences

The Kalimba is used for multiple puzzles, and the game does not simply hand you every sequence directly.

There are clues around the world that can be used to work out the melodies.

For the Climate Controller puzzle, the clue comes from a man with a shovel at a table inside the Inn.

Another clue can be found in the depression between the dwarves’ shop and the cave entrance.

These clues ultimately lead to the sequence required to disperse the clouds:

6 → 2 → 4 → I → 7

For the Inconvenient cat puzzle, the sequence is connected to the dungeon.

You need to defeat five dungeon bosses to obtain six planks.

The indentations on those planks can then be used to solve the Kalimba puzzle and determine the correct melody for waking the cat.

The resulting sequence is:

1 → 2 → 4 → 5 → 3 → 6

So if you were wondering where these seemingly random sequences come from, they are not arbitrary. They are connected to clues and objects found during normal progression.

A Good Order for Completing the Achievements

You can make the achievement hunt much easier by combining several objectives instead of treating every achievement as a separate task.

Start naturally with the first house and collect Easy Money by breaking a pot.

Talk to Gideon, get the Invitation, and purchase your first gnome for Entrepreneur.

Continue toward the Inn and get Jana’s coffee for Caffeine.

After that, work toward purchasing the forest cabin key and visit Arando. Buy the Kalimba because several achievements depend on it.

Once you have the Kalimba, complete the rain puzzle for Climate Controller and keep the item for the later cat puzzle.

As you explore, purchase the keys from Quentin whenever possible. You eventually want all of them for Guest, and the final key opens the dungeon required for The First Dungeon.

While progressing through the world, collect the glowing shards whenever you see them. There are 120 required for The Guardian, and collecting them gradually is much less tedious than leaving everything until the end.

Use the Wizard’s Tower to complete the potion achievements. The important combinations are:

  • Elixir Pecuniae: 1 → 3 → 2
  • Elixir Convinciae: 2 → 1 → 3
  • Rotten Potion: Any incorrect combination, such as 1 → 2 → 3
  • Elixir Herculis: 3 → 2 → 1
  • Elixir Incendium: 4 → 1 → 2

Once you have access to the later areas, complete the dungeon and work toward the Midas skull, the cat puzzle, Hell and Mammon progression, and eventually the Yggdrasil secret.

The main thing I would recommend is not trying to rush the one-billion-coin achievement. Let your money build while you unlock the map, purchase the keys, complete the dungeon, and work through the other achievements. By the time you have most of the progression finished, the huge money requirement becomes much less intimidating.

With that approach, the achievement list is mostly a matter of following the game’s progression, keeping the Kalimba once you obtain it, purchasing every key from Quentin, collecting the soul shards during exploration, and saving the final Hell/Mammon sequence for the end.
