If you are playing Soulrift on Roblox and wondering which characters are actually worth using, this tier list should help you decide where to spend your Souls. There are quite a few characters available, and they all have different strengths, so the best choice really depends on whether you want damage, range, support, or team utility.
In this guide, I will go through the characters from B-tier to S-tier, starting with the weaker starter options and working up to the characters I consider the strongest. I will also mention their HP, Soul cost or unlock method, and what makes each character useful.
Keep in mind that this ranking is based on the characters and abilities discussed in the video, so your own experience may differ depending on your playstyle and the type of boss fight you are doing.
Roblox Soulrift Best Characters Tier List (October 2026)
Here is the overall ranking covered in this guide:
| Tier | Characters |
|---|---|
| S-Tier | Clockwork, Nyx, Raiden, Lumina, Sunder |
| A-Tier | Scar, Reviva, Crystal, Ricochet |
| B-Tier | Kross, Zephyr |
The B-tier characters are mostly your starting options, while the A and S-tier characters offer stronger or more specialized abilities.
B-Tier Characters
Kross
Kross is one of the characters you get at the beginning of the game.
He has 100 HP and focuses primarily on ranged damage.
His kit uses things like lasers and grenades, making him a good option if you prefer staying away from bosses instead of constantly fighting up close.
I think Kross is perfectly fine when you are learning the game.
Being able to attack from a distance can also make it easier to learn boss mechanics because you have more room to react to incoming attacks.
The main problem is that once you unlock more characters, you will generally find stronger or more specialized options.
Zephyr
Zephyr is the other starting character and has 110 HP.
Compared with Kross, Zephyr has a much faster and more aggressive playstyle.
He uses a sword along with ranged slashing attacks, giving him a mix of close and ranged combat.
I would consider both Kross and Zephyr good learning characters.
They can help you understand boss attacks and movement before you start unlocking the stronger characters.
However, I would eventually move on to the higher-tier characters once you have enough Souls or complete the required quests.
A-Tier Characters
Scar
Scar is a strong fire-based character with 105 HP.
His main strength is his ability to apply Burn, allowing him to deal damage over time.
He also has good AoE damage, which makes him useful when you are dealing with groups of enemies.
You can unlock Scar through the Burning Soul quest.
If you like fire-based attacks and want a character that can handle multiple enemies at once, Scar is a solid A-tier option.
Reviva
Reviva costs 250 Souls and is one of the main support characters.
She only has 80 HP, so she is considerably less durable than some of the other characters on this list.
However, her value comes from her support abilities.
Reviva can heal and revive teammates, which can be extremely useful during group boss fights.
If you are playing with a team, I would not underestimate her just because she has low HP.
A good support player can make a huge difference when a difficult boss fight starts going badly.
Crystal
Crystal is unlocked through the Eight Thunder Menace quest and has 100 HP.
She uses an ice-based kit and has strong AoE abilities.
What I like about Crystal is her flexibility.
She has both close-range and long-range options, meaning you are not forced to play the exact same way throughout every fight.
If you want a character that can adapt to different situations, Crystal is one of the better A-tier choices.
Ricochet
Ricochet costs 1,500 Souls and has 90 HP.
His individual attacks are not necessarily the strongest, but he makes up for that with his extremely fast attack speed.
He also has a versatile ranged kit, which helps keep his overall damage competitive.
Ricochet is a good choice if you prefer attacking quickly and constantly putting pressure on enemies.
He may not have the biggest individual hits, but his attack speed can compensate for that.
S-Tier Characters
The S-tier characters are where things get much more interesting.
These characters either provide excellent damage, powerful utility, or a combination of both.
Clockwork
Clockwork is unlocked through the Awakening quest.
Unlike some of the other S-tier characters, Clockwork is not primarily about dealing massive damage.
Instead, he focuses heavily on team utility.
His buffs include effects such as:
- Acceleration
- Immunity
- Movement boosts
These abilities can make Clockwork extremely valuable in coordinated groups.
If your team already has enough damage dealers, adding Clockwork can sometimes be more useful than simply adding another DPS character.
For organized teams, I would consider Clockwork one of the strongest utility choices in the game.
Nyx
Nyx comes from the Greater Heights quest and has only 80 HP.
That low HP means you need to be careful when using her.
However, Nyx has a Blood Meter that can build up toward extremely high burst damage.
This gives her a high-risk, high-reward playstyle.
You need to stay relatively close to enemies while avoiding their attacks.
If you are good at movement and can consistently avoid getting hit, Nyx can reward you with huge damage.
For pure damage players, she is definitely one of the characters I would look at first.
Raiden
Raiden costs 4,000 Souls and is arguably one of the most complete characters in Soulrift.
He has 110 HP and combines both melee and ranged attacks.
On top of that, he deals heavy damage and has a grappling hook that allows him to reposition quickly.
That combination gives Raiden a lot of flexibility.
You can fight from different ranges, move around the battlefield quickly, and still maintain strong damage output.
If you do not want to specialize too heavily in one particular playstyle, Raiden is probably my favorite all-around option.
Lumina
Lumina costs 2,500 Souls.
Her biggest strength is her extremely strong long-range damage.
If you prefer staying far away from bosses and attacking safely from a distance, Lumina is a great choice.
The main downside is her longer cooldowns.
You cannot simply spam her strongest abilities whenever you want, so you need to be more careful about when you use them.
If you learn how to manage her cooldowns properly, though, Lumina can put out a lot of damage while keeping you safely away from danger.
Sunder
Sunder costs 1,000 Souls and is one of the best choices for players who want pure close-range DPS.
He has 125 HP, which is the highest base HP mentioned in this tier list.
That high health works particularly well with his aggressive playstyle.
You can get close to enemies, deal heavy damage, and have more room for mistakes than you would with a lower-HP character.
If you enjoy playing aggressively and want raw close-range damage, Sunder is one of the first characters I would recommend.
Best Characters for Pure Damage
If your only goal is to deal as much damage as possible, I would look at Sunder and Nyx first.
Sunder gives you high HP along with strong close-range DPS, while Nyx has the potential for massive burst damage through her Blood Meter.
The choice between them mainly comes down to how comfortable you are with their playstyles.
If you want something more forgiving, Sunder’s higher HP is helpful.
If you are confident with movement and avoiding attacks, Nyx can provide excellent burst damage.
Best All-Around Character
For an all-around option, Raiden is probably the safest recommendation.
He has 110 HP, strong damage, melee and ranged attacks, and a grappling hook for repositioning.
That gives you a lot of tools to work with.
You do not have to completely change your approach every time you encounter a different boss because Raiden can adapt to different situations.
Best Support Character
If your team needs support rather than another DPS character, Reviva is the obvious choice.
Her low 80 HP means you need to play carefully, but her healing and revival abilities can be incredibly valuable during group fights.
Keeping teammates alive can sometimes contribute more to a successful boss fight than simply adding another damage dealer.
Best Utility Character
For team utility, Clockwork stands out.
His acceleration, immunity, and movement-related buffs can benefit the entire group.
This makes him especially useful when you are playing coordinated team content.
If your team already has enough damage, I would seriously consider bringing Clockwork instead of another DPS character.
Best Ranged Characters
If you prefer fighting from a distance, Lumina and Kross are worth considering.
Kross is a good starting option thanks to his lasers and grenades.
Lumina is the much stronger long-term choice, though, especially if you have enough Souls to unlock her.
Her long-range damage can be extremely effective, although you need to manage her cooldowns properly.
