Necesse Summoner Expansion – All Armors, Trinkets Guide

If you’re playing the Summoner Expansion for Necesse and want to know what new armor sets and trinkets are available, this guide has you covered. The mod adds a huge collection of summoner-focused equipment across all four tiers, along with special challenge trinkets and new enchantments.

I went through the different armor sets and their bonuses below, including what each set does, which weapons work especially well with them, and what changes when you upgrade them through incursions. I’ve also included the new trinkets and where you can obtain them.

So, whether you’re putting together a new summoner build or just want to see what the expansion adds, here’s a complete list of the Necesse Summoner Expansion armors, trinkets, and enchantments.

Necesse Summoner Expansion – All Armors, Trinkets Guide

The armor added by this mod is completely focused on the Summoner class. Each set improves your summon-related stats and also comes with its own special effect.

Almost every armor set can be crafted at the Summoner Table. The main exception is the Sailor Set, which is crafted at the Arcanic Converter.

Minions summoned directly from armor sets and trinkets have their damage and movement speed increased by your summon damage and summon speed stats.

Some of these minions also don’t count as regular summoned mobs, meaning they won’t reduce the stat bonus provided by the Companion Locket and its upgrades.

The early Tier 1 sets and some Tier 2 sets also have special synergies with specific weapons. Wearing the complete set can improve those weapons even further.

Tier 1 Armor

Leather Summoner Set

The Leather Summoner Set is designed as an early-game starter armor set.

It provides stamina regeneration, which is useful when you’re exploring the surface during the early game.

The bear minion summoned by this set:

  • Deals 20% more damage on hit.
  • Applies a bleeding debuff that lasts longer.

When you upgrade the armor through incursions, you gain increased maximum stamina. Your summon damage also increases while you’re mounted or transformed.

Copper Miner Set

The Copper Miner Set is essentially the cave-focused counterpart to the Leather Summoner Set.

Its main benefit is improved exploration. The light radius from all lamp and candelabra minions is increased, making caves much easier to navigate. You also get a mining speed bonus.

Upgrading the armor through incursions provides:

  • Summon damage.
  • Summon range.
  • A new ability that turns your minions into homing projectiles.
  • The projectiles set enemies on fire.
  • Projectile damage increases with each upgrade tier.

Red Spider Set

The Red Spider Set is an upgrade to the regular Spider Set.

It provides:

  • Slow immunity.
  • Blindness immunity.

The red spider minions gain an additional effect that increases the poison damage enemies receive from all sources by 100%.

Because of this, poison-focused weapons and trinkets work particularly well with this set.

Incursion upgrades provide:

  • Increased summon attack speed.
  • Critical hits with summon weapons can spawn a spider spit pool.

Frost Summoner Set

The Frost Summoner Set adds an extra icicle projectile whenever you attack using summon weapons.

The icicle deals 25% damage, and the effect works particularly well with melee-range weapons such as Druid Claws.

The full set also improves several specific weapons:

  • Polar Head: 20% more damage and a longer debuff.
  • Frozen Book: 20% more damage, faster projectile speed, and a 50% chance to fire additional javelins.
  • Explosive Snowball: 100% more explosion damage, a larger explosion radius, and no longer damages players.
  • Ice Wizard Staff: 20% more damage and faster projectiles.

Incursion upgrades increase:

  • Summon critical damage.
  • Summon critical chance.

Rain Summon Set

The Rain Summon Set is built around fishing and rain.

During rain, the set doubles the fishing lines gained from its set bonus. It also summons a cloud that attacks enemies with water bolts.

These water bolts increase the damage enemies take from all sources by 2%, stacking up to 10 times.

While the cloud is attacking, you also gain 10% attack speed, which can stack up to 20%.

Incursion upgrades increase your summon damage.

Tier 2 Armor

Bloodplate Summoner Set

The Bloodplate Summoner Set has the same basic effect as the vanilla version, but its mask provides less health regeneration than the cowl.

In exchange, the set improves the damage and projectile velocity of both vampire and coffin minions.

The following weapons are also improved:

  • Vampire Wings: Faster projectiles and 20% more damage.
  • Vampire Coffin: Faster projectiles and 20% more damage. The summoned bats deal 100% of the sentry damage.

Incursion upgrades provide:

  • Increased maximum health.
  • Increased summon speed.
  • When below 50% health, killing enemies heals you and summons a bat.
  • The amount of healing scales with your missing health.

Plague Summoner Set

The Plague Summoner Set summons mouse minions while you’re in combat.

These mice attack once and then die.

You can have up to 8 mice active.

Pharaoh Summoner Set

The Pharaoh Summoner Set focuses on creating a chain of summoned locusts.

Whenever you kill an enemy using summon damage, you summon a locust.

You can normally have up to 2 locusts, although upgrading the armor through incursions can increase the cap to 10.

The locusts have an interesting chain effect. If a locust kills an enemy, another locust can be summoned.

There is a 0.5-second cooldown between summons.

Unlike other swarm-type minions, these locusts have an unlimited lifespan.

Titanium Set

The Titanium Set comes with four different helmets designed for different builds.

Titanium Magic Helmet

This version requires good mana management.

While you have more than 50% mana, you summon a staff minion that creates lightning attacks against enemies.

The projectile takes some time to hit its target, so weapons that slow enemies can work particularly well with this build.

Titanium Melee Helmet

The melee version focuses on survivability.

While you have more than 50% health, you summon a sword minion.

The sword has relatively low damage but can hit targets multiple times, making it especially useful against worm-type enemies.

Titanium Ranged Helmet

The ranged helmet benefits heavily from attack speed.

It summons a bow that attacks alongside you when you use summon bows and guns.

The summoned bow only fires while the player is not moving, so positioning is important.

Titanium Summon Helmet

This version is designed around stacking minions.

It summons a wolf for every 4 minion slots you use.

If you’re building around a large number of summons, this is the Titanium option to consider.

Tier 3 Armor

Lava Shark Set

The Lava Shark Set gives your summon attacks both bleed and fire damage.

Applying these debuffs provides another buff that increases:

  • Movement speed by 2%.
  • Summon damage by 2%.

This buff can stack up to 10 times.

Upgrading the armor through incursions increases the damage and duration of the debuffs.

Shadow Summoner Set

The Shadow Summoner Set applies a poison debuff to enemies.

The debuff deals 5 poison damage over 5 seconds.

Shadow Horror Set

While you’re in combat, you have approximately a 1% chance every second to summon a Minor Horror Spirit.

You can have up to 5 spirits active.

Aged Summoner Set

The Aged Summoner Set has a defensive focus.

Perfect blocks with shields increase your stamina regeneration by 200% for 30 seconds.

While you’re at full health, the set also summons an Aged Champion that attacks enemies with melee hits.

Spider Bride Set

Summon attacks apply a poison debuff that deals 5 damage.

The set also gives you an active ability that summons a temporary giant spider.

The giant spider:

  • Randomly spits poison projectiles.
  • Throws webs that slow enemies.

The ability has a 75-second cooldown.

Sharpshooter Summoner Set

The Sharpshooter Summoner Set summons a sharpshooter that fires bullets at enemies.

Its bullets can ricochet to nearby enemies when they die, making it useful against groups.

Tier 4 Armor

Slime Summoner Set

The Slime Summoner Set gives you an active defensive ability that reduces all damage you take to 1 for 5 seconds.

It also summons:

  • A mage slime.
  • A warrior slime.

They attack enemies using both melee and ranged attacks.

Unlike most armor-summoned minions, these two are considered secondary mobs, meaning they can reduce the damage bonus from the Companion Locket.

Chef Summoner Set

Whenever you’re hit while using this armor, it summons a Battle Chef.

The chef attacks enemies by throwing cooking tools.

You can have up to 3 Battle Chefs active.

Upgrading the armor increases the duration of these minions.

Ravenlord Summoner Set

While you’re moving, the set can summon up to 6 Ravenlords.

Each Ravenlord attacks 3 times.

Their damage scales with your current movement speed, so standing still greatly reduces their damage output.

Upgrading the armor reduces the movement penalty caused by using weapons.

Arcanic Summoner Set

The Arcanic Summoner Set gives you an active ability that summons a Pylon Sentry.

The sentry attacks enemies with lightning. When the lightning hits, it creates a small explosion.

This attack isn’t affected by projectile speed.

Upgrading the armor increases the duration of the Pylon.

Ghost Captain’s Set

This set gives you an active ability that summons a Ghost Pirate.

The pirate attacks enemies by firing explosive cannonballs.

Upgrading the armor increases the duration of the summoned pirate.

Summoner Sailor Set

The Summoner Sailor Set works while you’re mounted or transformed.

It summons a sailor that can shoot up to 5 times.

The sailor has no lifespan, meaning you can slowly build up a small army before heading into battle.

The base army can reach 3 sailors, while upgrading the armor allows the army to increase to 10 sailors.

Unlike the other armor sets, the Sailor Set is crafted at the Arcanic Converter.

The Summoner Expansion adds a lot more variety to Necesse’s summoner playstyle. Instead of simply stacking summon damage, you can build around specific mechanics such as poison, fire, fishing, movement speed, shields, transformations, mana, or even huge groups of permanent minions.

I especially like that the armor sets have their own identities. The early sets are useful for exploration and specialized weapons, while the higher-tier sets introduce much more unusual mechanics such as Ravenlords, Ghost Pirates, Pylons, giant spiders, and entire armies of sailors.

With all of these armor sets, trinkets, and enchantments available, there are plenty of different ways to put together a summoner build depending on how you want to play.
