The Veil Calm Luh Update Guide – Codes, Megaboss

The latest The Veil Calm Luh update has arrived, bringing a huge amount of new content along with major PvP changes, balancing adjustments, new items, accessories, and plenty of fixes.

In this post, we will go through everything added in the new update, including the brand-new Megaboss, its secret questline, Star Fruits, new weapons, accessories, and all the important gameplay changes.

The Veil Calm Luh Update Guide – Codes, Megaboss

This update also makes some big changes to combat. Basic attacks, critical attacks, and many abilities now use hit-stun mechanics, which could noticeably change how PvP fights feel.

On top of all that, there are a couple of new codes available after the update. So before jumping into the full changelog, make sure you check those out as well.

New Megaboss and Secret Questline

One of the biggest additions in this update is a completely new Megaboss.

The update also adds a secret questline connected to the new Megaboss, along with a new area for players to explore.

If you enjoy discovering hidden content and progressing through quests, this is probably going to be one of the first things you will want to check out after joining the updated game.

Star Fruits Have Been Added

The update introduces a new rare item called Star Fruits.

Star Fruits can give you up to 6 Prestiges, making them extremely valuable for progression.

According to the update notes, they are fairly easy to find while running through the maze, so you will want to keep an eye out for them while exploring.

With the new Prestige changes in this update, getting multiple Prestiges from a single item could be especially useful.

Three New Weapons and Items

Three new weapons and items have been added:

  • Heaven’s Lament
  • Soul Ringer
  • Divine Topaz

Divine Topaz is listed as a Legendary gem, while Heaven’s Lament and Soul Ringer join the new equipment available in the update.

All 21 New Accessories

The update adds a massive collection of 21 new accessories.

Here is the full list:

  • Explorer Hat
  • Runner Helmet
  • Chestplate
  • Backpack
  • Fairy Light
  • Disco Ball
  • Shako
  • Negative Cap
  • Tainted Elixir
  • Rampaging Ribcage
  • Unknown Rams
  • Starfish
  • Turtle Shell
  • Ring Of Retribution
  • Hell Pauldrons
  • Power Cell
  • Antibiotics
  • Panic Necklace
  • Decaying Spine
  • Night Stone
  • The Bell

That is a pretty big batch of new accessories, giving players plenty of new items to collect and experiment with.

Major PvP and Hit-Stun Changes

The combat system has received some important changes.

Weapons now have slight hit-stun on their basic attacks and critical attacks, along with the majority of abilities.

The amount of hit-stun depends on the weapon. Faster swinging weapons have lower hit-stun, while slower weapons generally have stronger hit-stun effects.

Some class abilities that hit players, including certain dashes, can also apply hit-stun.

Another important change is that hitting someone while they are performing a basic attack or critical attack can now cancel their attack.

Some weapon abilities will also cancel when you weave them instead of continuing to persist.

The weave punish stun duration has also been increased from:

0.2 seconds → 0.3 seconds

So if you get weaved, you will now remain stunned for slightly longer.

The developers have mentioned that more PvP changes are planned, so this looks like part of a larger combat rework.

New Echohold Entrance

Another entrance to Echohold has been added.

This should give players another way to access the area and make moving around a little easier.

Codes That Expired

The following codes have expired:

  • RELEASE
  • VERITYBOMB

These codes can no longer be redeemed.

New Working Codes

The update also introduced new codes.

Use:

UPDATEFINALLY

The developers later announced another emergency code after a shutdown.

Use:

EMERGENCY

The EMERGENCY code gives 3 RRs after the shutdown.

Make sure you enter these codes while they are still active.

Summon Life Has Been Reworked

The Summon Life mechanic has received a complete rework.

Previously, Summon Life increased how long your summons lasted and affected their cooldown.

Now, Summon Life increases your summons’ health instead.

Sentries are also no longer affected by Summon Life.

New Account Age Requirement

Your account now needs to be at least:

7 days old

to play the game.

This is likely intended to help deal with exploiters and other unwanted accounts.

Prestige HP Has Been Reduced

Prestiges now give:

+10 HP instead of +25 HP

Because of this change, several bosses now reward more Prestiges.

The new Prestige rewards are:

  • Layer 1 bosses: Up to 6 Prestiges
  • First Megaboss: 13 Prestiges
  • Pale bosses: 12 Prestiges
  • Second Megaboss: 15 Prestiges

So while each individual Prestige now gives less health, there are more opportunities to gain Prestiges through boss progression.

Inventory Limit Speed Penalty

Going over your inventory limit now comes with a downside.

If you exceed the inventory limit, you receive:

-10% Speed

So you may want to manage your inventory before carrying too many items around.

Selling Has Been Completely Reworked

The selling system has been redesigned.

You can now click on items in your inventory and choose between:

  • Sell 1
  • Sell All

This should make selling unwanted items much quicker and easier.

Scorch Basin Lava Changes

The lava in Scorch Basin no longer instantly kills you.

Instead, falling into the lava will now fling you upward, deal:

20% of your health

and set you on fire.

So it is still dangerous, but touching the lava is no longer an immediate death.

Idol of Hatred and Shimmer Changes

You can now drop Idols of Hatred into Shimmer to receive Stone Accords.

You can also do the reverse and exchange Stone Accords back through the same system.

Quest and Waypoint Improvements

Waypoint beams have now been enabled.

Trackers have also been added for:

  • Lost Runner quest
  • Still King quest
  • Other quests in general

You can disable these features in the settings if you do not want to use them.

Waypoint beams can now also pathfind and wrap around corners, making navigation easier.

More Important General Changes

Several other quality-of-life changes have been added:

  • New Goblin faces
  • Reworked code submission
  • Reworked tutorial with larger text
  • Reworked Omniwarp behavior
  • Vesper 30-kill quest reduced to 15 kills
  • Vesper quest now rewards 100 Silver
  • Main bars UI has been polished
  • Console hotbar switching has been added
