Heroes Battlegrounds QOL CHANGES Update – All New Features

The latest Heroes Battlegrounds update is here, bringing a bunch of new features, interface improvements, and balance changes to Roblox. While we did not get a completely new character in this update, there are still plenty of things to check out, including the new profile system, redesigned character selection screen, special quests, and damage counter.

In this guide, I will show you everything that has changed in the latest update. We will take a look at the new character selection designs, check out the Human Battery spawn animation, explore the new settings, and go through the balance changes for characters like Winged Assassin, Human Battery, Azure Flames, Todoroki, Toga, and more.

I also jumped into public matches to test Winged Assassin and see how the character feels after the changes. Some of the moves look pretty good, and the new damage counter makes it easier to check how much damage our combos deal. So, let’s get straight into the new Heroes Battlegrounds update and see what we have!

New Profile System in Heroes Battlegrounds

One of the biggest additions in this update is the completely redesigned profile system. This gives us a new way to show off our progress, favorite characters, and stats in Heroes Battlegrounds.

You can display information about the characters you play the most and showcase different statistics on your profile. This makes it easier for other players to see which characters you use and how much time you have spent playing the game.

The profile system also includes titles that you can equip to personalize your profile. Along with your character information and stats, these titles give you more ways to customize your profile and make it feel unique.

I think this is a nice quality-of-life addition because it gives us something else to work toward besides fighting other players. It is always good to have more ways to show off your progress, especially if you spend a lot of time mastering specific characters.

New Special Quests and Rewards

The update also introduces special quests that provide additional rewards for completing different objectives.

Some of these quests reward profile backgrounds and other customization options. This gives us another reason to explore the new update and complete objectives instead of spending all our time fighting in public servers.

Certain quests also provide 20% mastery, making them especially useful if you want to progress with your characters.

I recommend checking the special quest section after updating your game. If you are trying to unlock more cosmetics or improve your character mastery, these quests are definitely worth looking at.

New Character Selection Screen

Another major change in the Heroes Battlegrounds update is the redesigned character selection screen.

The old interface has been replaced with a fresh design that gives characters their own selection layouts, visual effects, and information. The new screen looks much more detailed, and it is easier to distinguish between different characters and their available versions.

Normal and Mastery Character Versions

One thing I noticed is that the new selection screen separates normal characters from their mastery versions.

For example, Deku has both a normal version and a mastery version displayed in the menu. This makes it easier to identify which version you want to select before entering a match.

The screen also displays star ratings that appear to indicate character difficulty. Some characters have more stars than others, although the exact meaning of these ratings has not been confirmed.

Individual Character Selection Designs

The updated menu gives several characters their own unique selection presentations.

Here are some of the characters featured in the new interface:

  • Deku: Both the normal and mastery versions have their own selections.
  • Stain: The mastery version displays a four-out-of-five difficulty rating, while the other version shows two out of five.
  • Azure Flames: Has its own character selection presentation.
  • Bakugo: Features a distinctive design for the character and mastery version.
  • Shigaraki: Appears in the redesigned selection interface.
  • Human Architect: Has a dedicated character selection screen.
  • Winged Assassin: Features a character silhouette and its own presentation.
  • Human Battery: Receives its own selection visuals.
  • Warp Portal: Is included in the redesigned character menu.
  • Nomu: Has a unique option associated with spawning the Prototype.

These changes do not necessarily mean we have received new playable characters, but they make the existing roster look much better organized.

New Damage Counter Setting

The new damage counter is one of my favorite additions because it helps us see exactly how much damage our attacks deal during combat.

To enable it, open the settings menu and look for the Damage Counter option. Turn it on, and you should be able to see damage numbers during fights.

Once enabled, the counter helps you track the damage dealt by individual attacks and full combos. This is especially useful when testing different moves or trying to figure out which combo route deals the most damage.

Why You Should Use the Damage Counter

Here are a few reasons why this feature is useful:

  • Check how much damage individual attacks deal.
  • Compare different combos and attack combinations.
  • Test your character’s moves more easily.
  • See how balance changes affect your damage output.
  • Improve your combos by checking which attacks work best together.

If you enjoy experimenting with combos, I recommend turning this setting on. Instead of guessing how much damage you deal, you can actually see the numbers and adjust your gameplay accordingly.

New Human Battery Spawn Animation

Human Battery has received a new spawn animation in this update.

When spawning into the game, the character performs an animation involving a guitar. It is a small addition, but it gives Human Battery a more distinctive entrance and makes the character feel a little more unique.

The animation is mainly cosmetic, so it does not necessarily change how the character performs in combat. Still, I like seeing these kinds of additions because they give characters more personality.

New Character Idle Animations and Cosmetic Settings

Alongside the Human Battery spawn animation, the update also introduces character idle animations and additional cosmetic settings.

Idle animations make characters look more active when standing still instead of simply remaining in the same pose. Combined with the new spawn animation, these changes help improve the overall presentation of the game.

The cosmetic settings also give us more control over how certain visual elements appear during gameplay.

These additions do not directly improve combat performance, but they make the game feel more polished. Along with the redesigned profile system and character selection screen, it is clear that this update focuses heavily on quality-of-life improvements.

All Heroes Battlegrounds Character Balance Changes

The developers have also made several balance changes across the character roster.

The characters mentioned in the update include Azure Flames, Todoroki, Toga, Winged Assassin, Human Battery, and the mastery version of Explosion Hero.

I recommend trying your main character again after updating the game because even small changes can affect how your moves feel during a fight.

However, the available gameplay does not provide a complete numerical breakdown of every adjustment, so I cannot confirm the exact damage or cooldown changes for each move.

Winged Assassin Balance Changes

Winged Assassin received particular attention during the update, so I decided to test the character in public matches.

The character has several interesting moves, and I wanted to see how they felt after the changes. During the fights, I experimented with different attacks, tried chaining moves together, and looked for opportunities to land combos against other players.

One thing that stood out to me was the first move, which felt especially powerful. Its impact made it seem almost like an ultimate ability when used effectively.

Winged Assassin also has some nice visual effects and attack range, making the character enjoyable to use during combat.

However, we still need more testing to determine exactly how strong Winged Assassin is after the update. A few public matches are not enough to establish its overall ranking against every other character.

Human Battery Balance Changes

Human Battery is another character included in the balance adjustments.

Along with receiving the new spawn animation, Human Battery has gameplay changes as part of the broader update.

If Human Battery is your main character, I recommend testing your usual moves and combos again. This will help you determine whether the changes affect your preferred fighting style.

Other Characters Receiving Balance Changes

The update also includes adjustments involving the following characters and versions:

  • Azure Flames
  • Todoroki
  • Toga
  • Explosion Hero mastery
  • Winged Assassin
  • Human Battery
  • Other characters included in the balance patch

Since several characters have been adjusted, make sure you check the official patch notes if you want the exact changes to individual moves.

Free Emotes Code in Heroes Battlegrounds

The update also features a code that provides free emotes.

If the code is still active, redeeming it is an easy way to get additional cosmetic rewards without spending extra currency.

Unfortunately, I could not confirm the exact code from the available transcript, so I do not want to give you an incorrect one. Check the game’s official announcements or the original video for the correct spelling before attempting to redeem it.

Winged Assassin Gameplay After the Update

After checking out the new features and balance changes, I jumped into public matches to test Winged Assassin.

I wanted to see how the character performed against real opponents rather than relying only on the changes mentioned in the update.

During the matches, I tried different moves, experimented with combos, and looked for opportunities to finish off opponents. Winged Assassin’s attacks have some impressive visual effects, and the character’s range gives you different ways to approach fights.

Testing Winged Assassin Combos

One of the combos I managed to land dealt approximately 71 damage. This is where the new damage counter becomes useful because we can check how much damage our attacks deal instead of estimating everything ourselves.

I also liked how some of Winged Assassin’s moves could be chained together. When the timing works, you can put together some satisfying combos and deal a decent amount of damage.

Of course, not every attack connects perfectly. I also had moments where I missed moves or failed to complete a combo because my opponent escaped.

This is why you still need to learn the timing and movement of your character. Even if a character has powerful abilities, you need to understand how to use them properly against different opponents.

Overall, Winged Assassin was enjoyable to test, and I am interested to see how the character performs after more players have had time to explore the balance changes.

Is the New Heroes Battlegrounds Update Worth Checking Out?

I think this update is worth checking out if you regularly play Heroes Battlegrounds, especially if you enjoy customization and testing different characters.

The new profile system gives us more ways to show off our stats and favorite characters, while the redesigned selection screen makes the roster look much better.

The damage counter is another useful addition because it helps us test combos and understand our damage output. The special quests, Human Battery spawn animation, idle animations, and balance changes also give us more things to explore.

However, if you were expecting a completely new character or a major new gameplay mode, this update might feel a little underwhelming.

Overall, I would consider this primarily a quality-of-life and balancing update rather than a major content release.

The latest Heroes Battlegrounds update brings a redesigned profile system, an improved character selection screen, special quests, a damage counter, new animations, and balance changes for multiple characters.

My favorite additions are the profile system and damage counter because they provide useful features beyond simply changing the appearance of the game. The redesigned character selection screen is also a welcome improvement, especially with the unique presentations for different characters and their mastery versions.

If you play Heroes Battlegrounds regularly, I recommend checking out the new settings, completing the special quests, and testing your main character after the balance changes. You might discover that some of your favorite moves feel different or that a new combo works better than before.
