In this post we will show you Age of History 3 Army Guide and Other important tips. The Army is probably the thing you’ll want to learn first, hence why I have it here at the beginning.
Age of History 3 Army Guide
To start off, these are the main buttons you’ll want to be using. Clicking on the manpower at the top will lead to your army designer where you’ll be making your armies, while the government button is useful for understanding other things that you’ll need to keep in mind while playing.
Start off by clicking the army designer button (which is also your manpower at the top); you should be given this tab in your menu.
This is a few key things you need to look at when making your army (circled in red). First, you will need to know Battle Width.
Battle Width is how many men will be fighting during a battle, as seen at the top or in the more detailed menu by selecting unit position (the small white boxes with the lines through them will open that menu up). Similar to EU4, there is a front and backline, and each line is the battle width.
So, in the example above, I have 40 frontline men and 40 backline men with 4 extra for the flank. Basically, your goal is to keep that up to max, and if you can’t, at least make sure both lines are equally filled with men (e.g., I can only afford 25/40 width, so I will make 25 frontline and 25 backline men, respectively, for my army).
Next is the regiment limit, as shown above. That’s the number saying 254k/297k—every spawned troop is about 1,000 men, so I can have 297 individual troops on the ground (albeit only in stacks of 1).
Increasing that is important towards making a strong military, as anything over that number, I believe, costs double in maintenance and, while I haven’t done enough testing to see, might even be weaker in strength, so generally not too worth it.
I will be adding more to this tomorrow, as of now I am incredibly tired.
