Harpoon Guns are finally here in Fisch, and this update is much bigger than simply adding another weapon type. You can now target roaming fish from a distance, fire a harpoon into them, and then actually fight to pull the catch in through a new minigame.
There are seven Harpoon Guns to find, buy, or craft across different parts of the map, including a few that are tied to places you may not visit very often. On top of that, Fisch has received a redesigned Equipment Bag, new Harpoon Gun and Spear enchantments, and a mysterious ritual connected to the Trident Striker.
If you’ve just loaded into the update and have no idea where to start, here’s everything you need to know about Harpoon Guns and their locations in Fisch.
ALL 7 Harpoon Gun Locations & Pull Minigame in Fisch
Harpoon Guns introduce a new way of catching roaming fish.
Instead of standing in one spot and casting your fishing rod, you can spot a roaming fish, aim the Harpoon Gun directly at it, and fire from a distance. Once the harpoon connects with the fish, however, you haven’t caught it just yet.
That’s when the new Pull Minigame begins.
The basic process works like this:
- Equip a Harpoon Gun.
- Look for a roaming fish.
- Aim your Harpoon Gun at the target.
- Fire and successfully hook the fish.
- Complete the Pull Minigame to reel it in.
So don’t think of Harpoon Guns as ranged versions of Spears. The important difference is that hitting the fish starts another part of the catch rather than immediately finishing the job.
This also means your choice of Harpoon Gun matters. There are seven of them in the initial update, and they can have different stats and potential passive effects.
All Harpoon Gun Locations in Fisch
There are seven Harpoon Guns available across Fisch:

Most of these require you to travel to their respective locations, but there are two worth paying particular attention to.
The Trident Striker is hidden inside Poseidon’s Armory and appears to be connected to a new ritual, while the Relic Piercer isn’t simply picked up from a location—you’ll need to craft it at Ancient Isle.

Steady Harpoon Gun – Roslit Bay
The Steady Harpoon Gun can be found at Roslit Bay.
This is one of the more familiar areas on the Fisch map, so it’s a good Harpoon Gun to look for when you’re first exploring the update. If your main goal is simply to get your hands on this new weapon type and experiment with ranged fishing, Roslit Bay should definitely be on your list of places to visit.
Fungal Harpoon Gun – Mushgrove Swamp
Head over to Mushgrove Swamp to find the Fungal Harpoon Gun.
Considering how spread out the seven weapons are, I’d recommend grabbing this one while you’re already doing anything else around Mushgrove rather than making multiple trips later.
Frost Spider – Boreal Pines
The Frost Spider is located at Boreal Pines.
You’ll need to travel there if you’re trying to complete your Harpoon Gun collection. As with the other guns, it’s worth testing it yourself rather than assuming every Harpoon Gun will feel identical, especially since the new weapons can have their own stats and possible passive effects.
Great Dream Waker – Cursed Isle
The Great Dream Waker can be found on Cursed Isle.
This is another Harpoon Gun you’ll need to collect while travelling around the map. If you’re planning to get all seven, Cursed Isle is now one of the required stops.
Crystal Crasher – Crystal Cove
You’ll find the Crystal Crasher at Crystal Cove.
At this point, you can probably see what the developers are doing with the Harpoon Gun system. Rather than putting every new weapon in a single shop, they’ve spread them around Fisch and given players another reason to revisit different areas.
Trident Striker – Poseidon’s Armory
Now we get to one of the really interesting ones.
The Trident Striker is hidden inside Poseidon’s Armory, and reaching the Armory appears to involve one of the update’s biggest secrets.
A forgotten ritual has appeared within Desolate Deep. Completing its mysterious challenge allows players to uncover Poseidon’s hidden Armory, where the Trident Striker is located.
There may be more going on here than we’ve discovered so far, too. Part of the feature was deliberately obscured with question marks in the changelog, suggesting the developers want players to figure out some of the ritual’s details themselves.
So if you can’t immediately walk into Poseidon’s Armory and grab the Trident Striker, that’s intentional. You’ll need to investigate the new ritual first.
Relic Piercer – Ancient Isle
The final Harpoon Gun works a little differently.
The Relic Piercer needs to be crafted at Ancient Isle.
That makes it stand out from most of the other Harpoon Guns, which are associated with locations where you can find them directly. If you’re going for all seven, don’t waste time searching Ancient Isle expecting the Relic Piercer to simply be sitting somewhere waiting to be collected.
Look for its crafting method instead.
How the New Pull Minigame Works
The Pull Minigame is what makes Harpoon fishing feel like its own mechanic.
First, you’ll need to successfully shoot a roaming fish with your Harpoon Gun. Once you’ve hooked it, you’ll have to reel or pull the fish in through the minigame.
In other words:
Hitting the fish isn’t the catch—the hit starts the catch.
That’s probably the easiest way to remember it when you’re learning the system.
It gives roaming fish encounters a little more interaction because there’s now both an aiming stage and a pulling stage. Better Harpoon Guns and different setups should also become increasingly important as players work out which stats and passive effects are most useful.
Fisch Equipment Bag Has Been Redesigned
There’s another change you’ll notice pretty quickly after the update.
The Equipment Bag has been redesigned so it can properly handle the growing number of equipment types in Fisch.
Instead of treating everything awkwardly through the old setup, the new Equipment Bag supports:
- Fishing Rods
- Spears
- Harpoon Guns
There’s also a new category selector, making it much easier to jump between different equipment types.
This is a small change compared with getting an entirely new fishing mechanic, but it’s one I appreciate because inventories can get messy very quickly in a game like Fisch. If you’re carrying several rods, Spears, and Harpoon Guns, having dedicated categories should save quite a bit of scrolling around.
The outdated version of the Equipment Bag has also been disabled for the time being, so you’ll primarily be using the redesigned system from now on.
New Harpoon Gun and Spear Enchantments
Don’t overlook enchantments while experimenting with your new weapons.
The update adds 10 Harpoon Gun enchantments alongside 10 new Spear enchantments.
That’s 20 new equipment enchantments in total.
This should create quite a few possibilities once players start comparing different combinations. A Harpoon Gun’s base stats are one thing, but pairing the right gun with a useful enchantment could make a much bigger difference than simply chasing whichever weapon looks strongest on paper.
For now, the Keepers appear to understand these new enchantments when using Enchant Relics or Cosmic Relics.
I’d hold onto useful relics rather than burning through everything immediately. New systems usually take a little time for the community to fully test, and we’ll likely get a much clearer idea of the strongest Harpoon Gun enchantments once players have experimented with all of them.
How to Unlock the Trident Striker in Fisch
The Trident Striker is probably going to be one of the first weapons that gets players scratching their heads.
Here’s what we currently know.
A forgotten ritual has appeared in Desolate Deep, and completing its mysterious challenge reveals Poseidon’s hidden Armory. The Trident Striker is located inside that Armory.
The developers haven’t revealed every detail surrounding the ritual either. Some information was intentionally hidden in the update notes, so there’s clearly an element of discovery involved here.
If you’re specifically hunting the Trident Striker, Desolate Deep should be your starting point, rather than searching randomly around Poseidon’s areas.
