ALLfiring Relics Guide and Elemental Resonance Tips

Relics are one of the most important progression systems in ALLfiring, but they are also one of the easiest systems to waste resources on if you start farming too early.

A lot of players immediately dump stamina into relic stages as soon as they unlock them, only to replace everything later once gold relics become available. The game honestly does a pretty bad job explaining when relic farming actually becomes worth it.

On top of that, Elemental Resonance is one of the most confusing stats in the entire game right now, and many players still do not fully understand how powerful it actually is.

This guide breaks down how relics work, when you should farm them, the best stats to look for, and why Elemental Resonance is secretly one of the strongest offensive stats in the game.

Farming

The first thing newer players need to understand is simple:

Do not heavily farm relics before Level 40.

This is probably the biggest mistake players make early.

Why Level 40 Matters

At Level 40, you unlock:

  • Gold relics
  • Better substats
  • Higher stat ceilings
  • Stronger upgrades

Before that point, most relics will eventually get replaced anyway.

You can still equip random set bonuses early if you happen to get them, but spending massive amounts of stamina farming low-rarity relics is usually not worth it.

Honestly, the story can already be cleared without:

  • Dupes
  • Perfect relics
  • Completed sets

So saving stamina early is usually the smarter move.

Relic Sets

There are currently six main relic sets in the game.

Elemental Sets

Five sets are tied directly to elemental damage types.

These are designed for:

  • Wind
  • Fire
  • Ice
  • Thunder
  • Dark

Most DPS characters simply want their matching elemental set.

Assault Set

The sixth set is more generic and focuses on:

  • Attack percentage
  • Assault-style scaling

This set is often useful temporarily when you do not yet have completed elemental sets available.

Set Effects

Every relic set has:

  • A 2-piece effect
  • A 5-piece effect

The 2-piece bonus is usually much easier to activate early and can still provide decent value while building your final setup.

The full 5-piece effect is where most of the real power comes from later.

Gold Relics

Gold relics are where the gearing system really opens up.

These relics:

  • Upgrade to +20
  • Roll significantly better stats
  • Have far more build flexibility

That is why Level 40 is considered the true starting point for serious relic farming.

Substats

Substats are one of the most important parts of relic optimization.

Lower rarity relics have fewer substats, but gold relics can have far more flexibility.

How Gold Relics Work

Gold relics can potentially gain:

  • Up to six substats
  • Multiple upgrade rolls
  • Enhanced stat scaling

However, there is an important mechanic many players miss.

If a relic rolls upgrades into an existing substat multiple times, it reduces the total number of unique substats you can have.

For example:

  • A relic may roll extra Wind Damage repeatedly
  • This strengthens that stat
  • But reduces overall stat variety

So sometimes:

  • Fewer substats
  • Higher rolls

can still be extremely strong.

Main Stats

Each relic slot has different possible main stats.

Understanding this is extremely important for gearing correctly.

Slot One

Possible stats:

  • HP
  • Defense

Slot Two

Possible stats:

  • Flat Attack
  • HP%

Slot Three

This is one of the most flexible slots in the game.

Possible stats include:

  • Attack%
  • HP%
  • Defense%
  • Flat Attack
  • Healing
  • Ultimate Charge
  • Elemental Resonance

This slot is incredibly important for optimization later.

Slot Four

Possible stats:

  • Attack%
  • Healing
  • Elemental Damage
  • Elemental Resonance

Slot Five

Possible stats:

  • HP%
  • Defense%
  • Crit Rate
  • Crit Damage
  • Ultimate Charge
  • Elemental Resonance

For most DPS units, this becomes one of the key damage slots.

Elemental Resonance

Elemental Resonance is honestly one of the strongest stats in the game once you understand how it scales.

Many players completely ignore it early because the game barely explains what it actually does.

What Elemental Resonance Does

From current testing and information available from other servers, Elemental Resonance functions as a damage multiplier.

A rough example:

  • Around 60 Elemental Resonance equals roughly a 10% damage increase

That is an incredibly strong offensive boost early on.

Diminishing Returns

However, Elemental Resonance also has diminishing returns.

This means:

  • Early points are extremely valuable
  • Later points become less efficient

Because of this, most optimized builds aim for around:

  • 400 Elemental Resonance

for their main DPS characters.

That currently seems to be the sweet spot before efficiency starts dropping off harder.

Why Resonance Is So Good

The reason Elemental Resonance becomes so strong is because relics can roll so many additional substats later.

That flexibility allows players to:

  • Stack Crit
  • Stack Crit Damage
  • Build Resonance
  • Maintain elemental damage scaling

all at the same time.

This creates much stronger late-game builds than players initially expect.

Rerolling

Thankfully, the reroll system in ALLfiring is not nearly as punishing as many other gacha RPGs.

You can reroll substats multiple times, and eventually:

  • Self-select specific stats
  • Target desired attributes
  • Fix bad rolls

This massively reduces the frustration of perfect gearing later.

Honestly, compared to many other RPG systems, the relic optimization process here is surprisingly forgiving once you understand how it works.
