Update 1.5 has officially arrived in Anime Squadrons, bringing a Demon Slayer-themed expansion packed with new units, an additional Story Mode, a brand-new Raid, exclusive Leader Skills, new gear, skins, and plenty of materials to farm.
While this isn’t a complete overhaul of the game, it’s still a solid content update with several new progression goals. If you’re wondering what to focus on first, this guide covers everything added in Update 1.5.
Anime Squadrons Update 1.5 Guide – Raid, Story, Codes
Here’s a quick overview of the update:
- New Demon Slayer Story Mode
- New Infinity Train Raid
- New Demon Slayer units
- New Evolutions
- Divine-exclusive Leader Skill
- New Gear
- New Materials
- New Premium Bundles and Skins
- Shiny versions of every new unit
- Quality-of-life improvements
Let’s break everything down.
New Story Mode
The update introduces a brand-new Story Mode based on the Demon Slayer theme.
The layout is familiar if you’ve played previous updates, so you won’t have to learn any completely new mechanics before jumping in.
Clearing Story Mode is important because it gives you access to materials and progression needed for the new content.
New Infinity Train Raid
Alongside Story Mode comes the new Infinity Train Raid.
The raid consists of four acts, gradually increasing in difficulty before ending with the final boss.
Unlike some previous raids, this one is fairly straightforward and doesn’t introduce many complicated mechanics.
If you’ve already built a decent team, you’ll likely have no trouble progressing through Normal difficulty.
Raid Boss Rewards
The raid’s featured reward is:
Akaza
Akaza is the exclusive Raid Unit introduced in this update.
Based on player testing:
- Approximately 0.25% drop rate on Easy difficulty.
- Higher difficulties are expected to offer better drop chances.
If you’re planning to farm Akaza, running the hardest difficulty your team can comfortably clear will likely be the most efficient strategy.
Legend Stage Reward
While Akaza comes from the Raid, the Legend Stage appears to feature:
Rengoku
That means players will need to farm different game modes if they want to collect every new Demon Slayer character.
New Banner Units
Two of the newest characters can be obtained from the summon banners.
Tanjiro (Sun Breathing)
Tanjiro joins the roster with his Sun Breathing form and serves as one of the headline banner units in this update.
If you’re planning to summon, he’s one of the primary characters worth aiming for.
Nezuko
Nezuko is also available through the banner.
Together, Tanjiro and Nezuko make up the main summon-focused additions in Update 1.5.
New Evolutions
Several characters also receive Evolutions.
These include:
- Rengoku Evolution
- Akaza Evolution
If you already own these units, you’ll have another progression goal to work toward after obtaining the required materials.
Every New Unit Has a Shiny Version
Collectors will be happy to know that every new character introduced in Update 1.5 also comes with a Shiny Variant.
The standout is easily Shiny Tanjiro, although the other units also receive blue-themed shiny appearances.
If you’re chasing rare cosmetics, there’s another long-term grind waiting for you.
New Divine Leader Skill
One of the more important gameplay additions is the new Divine-exclusive Leader Skill.
Its bonuses include:
- +5% Damage to all Protagonist units.
- +10% Damage to all Divine Element units.
If your team already uses Divine characters, this Leader Skill can provide a noticeable boost to overall damage.
New Gear
Update 1.5 also introduces two new equipment sets.
Akaza Gear
A brand-new gear set designed around Akaza.
Rengoku Gear
Rengoku also receives his own dedicated gear.
You’ll need to collect the required crafting materials before you can create either set.
New Materials
Several new crafting materials have also been added.
These are primarily used for:
- Evolutions
- Gear crafting
- Progression through the Demon Slayer update
You’ll naturally collect most of them while farming Story Mode and the new Raid.
Premium Bundles & Skins
The in-game shop now features additional premium bundles containing exclusive skins.
Players interested in cosmetics may want to check these out, although they’re optional and aren’t required for progression.
Anime Squadrons Update 1.5 offers a solid amount of Demon Slayer content without dramatically changing the game’s formula. The new Infinity Train Raid, Story Mode, Tanjiro, Nezuko, Akaza, and Rengoku provide plenty of new farming goals, while the Divine Leader Skill, new gear, and additional materials give veteran players more progression options.
Although the raid doesn’t introduce many unique mechanics, it’s approachable for most players and rewards one of the update’s strongest new units. Whether you’re chasing banner characters, farming Akaza, or collecting every Shiny, Update 1.5 has enough content to keep both new and returning players busy.
