Keeper Golems are one of those things in Beast of Reincarnation that seem pretty minor when you meet the first one. You find an old Golem sitting around, answer a question, get some Exploration Data, and move on.
Then you realize there are 30 Keeper Golems scattered across the game.
Finding them is actually worth the trouble. Keeper Golems can reveal hidden Exploration Data pointing you toward weapons, crafting manuals, recipes, and other useful discoveries. On top of that, speaking with 30 Keeper Golems unlocks the Finders, Keepers achievement.
Some are sitting almost directly on your route. Others are tucked above villages, hidden inside caves, or placed at the end of areas that require Emma’s hair traversal to reach.
Here’s how the system works and where to start looking for them.
Beast of Reincarnation Keeper Golem Locations – All Golems
When you speak with a Keeper Golem, you’ll be given questions you can ask.
The important thing to understand is that your choice doesn’t lock you out of anything.
Keeper Golems are essentially tied to their zone.
If a particular zone contains three Keeper Golems, that zone will have three corresponding questions. You can ask one question at one Golem and then ask the remaining questions when you discover the other Golems.
So there’s no need to sit at the dialogue screen worrying that you’ve selected the “wrong” answer.
You haven’t.
Finding every Keeper Golem in a zone eventually allows you to receive all of that zone’s available Exploration Data.
Why Are Some Keeper Golem Questions Greyed Out?
You may occasionally meet a Keeper Golem and notice that one of its questions can’t be selected.
That’s usually not a bug.
It’s possible to discover the secret associated with a Keeper Golem’s Exploration Data before speaking with the Golem.
For example, suppose a particular question would reveal the location of a weapon. If you’ve already explored that location and collected the weapon yourself, the corresponding question can appear greyed out when you later find the Golem.
In other words, Keeper Golems don’t necessarily give you exclusive items.
They’re revealing where those discoveries are located.
If you’re someone who searches every corner of the map, you’ll probably uncover a few of their secrets naturally.
How to Tell If You’ve Already Spoken to a Keeper Golem
Check the Golem’s map icon.
A Keeper Golem you’ve already spoken with will display a tick/check mark.
This becomes much more useful later in the game when you’re cleaning up missing Golems for the Finders, Keepers achievement.
Instead of revisiting every location from memory, check which icons have already been completed.
Keeper Golem Zones
Keeper Golems can be encountered across numerous regions during Emma and Koo’s journey, including:
- Ogouchi Buffer Zone
- Ancient Civilization Zone
- The Great Wall Terraces
- Pilgrim’s Zone
- Matsukawa Zone
- Fuji Frontier Zone
- Giant Tree Zone
- Crater Zone
- Inukami River Zone
However, don’t waste time searching absolutely every late-game area.
There are no Keeper Golems in Starfall Tower, Mount Hiei, or The Capital.
Let’s start with some of the early locations.
All Ogouchi Buffer Zone Keeper Golem Locations
There are three Keeper Golems covered in the Ogouchi Buffer Zone:

Cliffside Village: Interior Keeper Golem
Head toward the southwestern corner of the Ogouchi Buffer Zone.
You’re looking for the area around Cliffside Village: Interior campsite.
The Golem isn’t sitting down inside the village itself. Instead, it’s positioned higher up, sitting along a cliff overlooking Cliffside Village.
From the campsite area, travel north and look for a route upward.
You’ll need to use Emma’s hair traversal to reach the Rusted/Keeper Golem.
Once you’re on the cliff, speak with it to register the discovery and receive the corresponding dialogue opportunity.
River Forks Keeper Golem
For the next one, head to the eastern side of the Ogouchi Buffer Zone and locate the River Fork Camp.
The camp sits along the large river cutting through this part of the map.
From River Fork Camp, travel slightly southeast.
You should eventually reach a small village near the edge of the map.
There will be enemies here, so clear them out first.
After the fight, look around the village for what resembles a small shrine. The Keeper Golem is sitting up on this structure.
Speak with it and you’re done with this location.
Ruined Tower Area Keeper Golem
Start from River Forks Camp again, but this time travel north toward the Ruined Tower Area.
The important clue is in the name: you need to climb.
Use Emma’s hair to work your way toward the top of the ruined tower.
You’ll pass/find the Ruined Tower Area Camp during the climb, which makes this location much easier to revisit later.
Continue all the way to the top.
An Elite enemy guards a large tent here. Defeat the Elite first, then enter the tent.
The Keeper Golem is inside.
If you’re doing a completionist run, I’d definitely activate the nearby camp while you’re here rather than making this climb twice.
Ogouchi Buffer Zone Keeper Golem Rewards
The Exploration Data associated with the Ogouchi Buffer Zone includes three useful discoveries:

Remember that the Golem isn’t necessarily handing the item directly to you. The Exploration Data helps reveal where the associated discovery can be found.
You can also potentially find these items through normal exploration first.
All Ancient Civilization Zone Keeper Golem Locations
The Ancient Civilization Zone has two Keeper Golems covered here:
Ruins Path Keeper Golem
Raging River Keeper Golem
Both are easy to miss because Emma’s hair is needed to reach their elevated positions.
Ruins Path Keeper Golem
Start at the Ruins Path Camp.
Travel south from the campsite.
Eventually you’ll reach a ravine with a partially destroyed platform visible across the gap.
This is your destination.
Use Emma’s hair to create a bridge across the ravine and make your way onto the damaged platform.
Once across, check along the wall.
You’ll find the Keeper Golem sitting beside a makeshift shrine.
Speak with it before leaving.
Raging River Keeper Golem
Fast travel or make your way to the Raging River Camp.
Instead of immediately following the normal route, look upward.
There should be a ledge on your left.
Use Emma’s hair to reach it.
Once you’re up there, follow the pathway to the left as it curves around the nearby large tree trunk.
Keep following it until you reach the metal fence.
The Keeper Golem is sitting here against another makeshift shrine.
This one is particularly easy to walk underneath without realizing there’s an accessible path above you.
That’s a recurring theme with Keeper Golems: look vertically.
All Great Wall Terraces Keeper Golem Locations
The Great Wall Terraces has considerably more Golems to hunt down.
The five covered locations are:

Because there are five discoveries here, it’s worth taking the time to find every Golem rather than leaving the region half-completed.
Mountain Village Keeper Golem
Travel to the far southwestern corner of The Great Wall Terraces.
You’ll eventually reach a mountain village.
Head toward the southern portion of that village and look for a large metal watchtower-like structure.
Now look up.
The Golem isn’t waiting for you at ground level.
Use Emma’s hair to climb onto the top of the structure.
From there, you should be able to spot another cliff ledge nearby with the Keeper Golem sitting beside a makeshift shrine.
There’s still a gap between you and the Golem.
Use Emma’s hair again to form a bridge across.
Cross over and speak with the Keeper Golem.
Great Forest Clearing: Approach Keeper Golem
This one is much simpler.
Start at the Great Forest Clearing: Approach Camp.
Travel southeast.
Look for a small clearing surrounded by several destroyed skyscrapers.
The Keeper Golem is sitting here against a makeshift shrine.
Compared with some of the other Great Wall Terraces locations, there isn’t much complicated traversal involved, so this is a good one to grab while you’re already exploring nearby.
Subcity of Flowers: Interior Keeper Golem
The Subcity of Flowers Keeper Golem requires considerably more work because you first need access to the Subcity itself.
Start around the Flower Square: Forefront camp on the eastern side of the map.
From there, travel northeast.
After a short trip, you’ll encounter a small village containing a large hatch leading underground into the Subcity of Flowers.
There’s a wheel near the hatch.
Interact with the wheel to open the entrance.
Enter the Subcity and begin progressing through it.
You’ll need to fight Golems along the way, but fortunately the route is mostly linear. Continue until you reach the:
Subcity of Flowers: Interior camp
Activate it.
From the campsite, continue into the next section.
You’ll encounter an Elite enemy roaming the courtyard.
Defeat it.
Doing so allows you to continue through the nearby door. Before leaving the courtyard, check the base of the statue as well, since there’s a Strongbox here that’s worth collecting.
Enter the newly accessible room and follow it all the way to the end.
The Keeper Golem is waiting there.
Mountain Plaza Keeper Golem
Head toward Mountain Plaza: Forefront camp.
The Keeper Golem is northwest of this location, positioned high on the left-hand side of Mountain Plaza.
You’ll once again need Emma’s hair.
Work your way upward using the platforms around the village until you reach the top.
You’ll find the Golem sitting against a makeshift shrine.
There’s an easier option if you’ve already spent some time exploring this region.
Players who have unlocked the Mountain Overlook camp can start there instead, as it’s considerably closer to the Golem than Mountain Plaza: Forefront.
Hidden Stone Hall Keeper Golem
The Hidden Stone Hall Golem is very easy to overlook despite being close to its campsite.
Reach the Hidden Stone Hall camp.
Immediately look around the area beside it.
There’s a hidden cave entrance just to the left of the campsite.
Enter the cave and follow it all the way to its end.
You’ll find the Keeper Golem inside.
If you haven’t unlocked Hidden Stone Hall yet, approaching from the eastern side of the map is one of the easier routes.
There’s a river in front of the camp with several large boulders sticking out of the water. Use those rocks to safely cross toward the campsite.
Once you’ve activated the camp, finding the nearby cave is the easy part.
Great Wall Terraces Keeper Golem Rewards
Finding the Great Wall Terraces Golems can provide Exploration Data for the following:

If you’ve already discovered one of these while exploring, don’t be surprised if its corresponding question isn’t available when you reach another Keeper Golem.
Keeper Golems in Later Zones
Keeper Golems continue appearing well beyond these opening regions.
You’ll also need to search:
Pilgrim’s Zone
Matsukawa Zone
Fuji Frontier Zone
Giant Tree Zone
Crater Zone
Inukami River Zone
If you’re working toward all 30 rather than simply using Golems for Exploration Data, don’t stop searching after the Great Wall Terraces.
The biggest mistake is assuming every zone contains the same number. It doesn’t appear to work that way, so clearing one Golem in a region doesn’t automatically mean you’re finished there.
Zones With No Keeper Golems
There are three areas where you can stop searching entirely:

This is particularly useful to know when doing achievement cleanup.
You aren’t overlooking some hidden cave or ridiculous platforming route in these locations.
There simply aren’t Keeper Golems to find there.
How to Unlock the Finders, Keepers Achievement
The Finders, Keepers achievement requires you to speak with 30 Keeper Golems during your journey.
The important word here is speak.
Don’t simply locate one from a distance and assume it has counted.
Walk up and interact with it.
Afterward, check for the tick/check icon indicating that you’ve already spoken with that Keeper Golem.
If you’re planning on getting every achievement, I’d interact with Keeper Golems immediately whenever you find them. Telling yourself you’ll remember their locations later is a surprisingly effective way of creating a miserable endgame scavenger hunt.
