In this post, I will show you how to become Nacht Faust in Clover Time and unlock his Secret Shadow Grimoire in the newest update. We will go through the Grimoire rolling process, unlock his moves, try out both transformation forms, and see how powerful his abilities are in combat.
Getting this Grimoire is not easy because of its rarity, so I had to roll several times before finally getting it. Once I unlocked it, I tested all the abilities, including the shadow summons, transformations, and special attacks, to see what makes this Grimoire so good.
I will also show you how to get Nacht’s outfit and cape, explain whether you can obtain his clothing through a boss fight, and test the abilities against a boss. So, if you want to unlock Nacht Faust and see what his Secret Shadow Grimoire can do, here is everything you need to know.
Clover Time Nacht Faust Guide – How to get Shadow Grimoire
The first thing I needed to do was roll for the Grimoire. Before starting, I tried to customize my character to look like Nacht Faust as closely as possible. The character customization options are somewhat limited, but I did my best to recreate his appearance with blue eyes and long hair.
I initially thought there might be a Nacht boss in the game that dropped his clothing, so I planned to get the outfit after unlocking his Grimoire.
Secret and Mythic Grimoire Chances
Getting a rare Grimoire can take quite a few attempts. The odds mentioned during my rolls were:
- Secret Grimoire: 1 in 131 chance.
- Mythic Grimoire: 1 in 179 chance.
With odds like these, you might need to roll multiple times before getting the Grimoire you want.
I started rolling and received several different Grimoires, including Ice, Earth, Chain, and Wind-related Grimoires. I also got a few common and rare results along the way.
Eventually, I received an Epic Grimoire, which was better than some of my earlier rolls, but it still was not the one I wanted. After continuing to roll, I finally managed to get Nacht Faust’s Secret Shadow Grimoire.
Once I unlocked it, I could access his abilities and start testing everything.
All Nacht Faust Shadow Grimoire Moves in Clover Time
After getting the Grimoire, I checked the available moves before heading into combat. There are several abilities to try, and the transformations give access to additional attacks.
The moves I tested included:
- Summon Rooster
- Summon Cat
- Plummet
- Shadow Field
- Transform Gallus
- Transform Felis
I wanted to test each ability individually to see how it worked, especially the summons and transformations.
How to Use Summon Rooster and Summon Cat
The first abilities I tried were Summon Rooster and Summon Cat. These moves allow you to summon creatures that can attack enemies for you.
Summon Rooster
When I used Summon Rooster, the creature appeared and started fighting the NPCs. What I liked most was that it could follow me around, making the ability feel more useful than a simple attack.
I was surprised by how well the summon worked. Instead of dealing damage with only my own attacks, I could let the creature help me fight.
Summon Cat
Next, I tried Summon Cat and tested it against nearby NPCs. I also used Plummet during the fight to see how the abilities worked together.
The summons were particularly interesting because I could have two creatures active at the same time. This could make the Grimoire very useful in PvP, since your opponent might have to deal with both your attacks and the summoned creatures.
I also tested dismissing the summons before moving on to the next abilities.
Shadow Field Ability Explained
Shadow Field was another ability I wanted to test before trying the transformations.
When I activated it, the move created an impressive visual effect. I tried it against nearby enemies to get a better idea of how it worked in combat.
The ability looked great, and it was one of the moves that made the Grimoire stand out to me. However, I focused more on testing its appearance and general behavior than measuring its exact damage.
Transform Gallus: All Moves and Abilities
After testing the regular shadow abilities, I moved on to Transform Gallus. This transformation changes your character’s form and gives you access to a different set of moves.
I was not completely sure about this form at first, but I liked how it looked in-game. Once transformed, I started testing its abilities against NPCs.
Murder of Feathers
The first move I checked was Murder of Feathers. I tested the ability to see how it attacked enemies and how it looked during combat.
Black Feather Barrage
Next, I tried Black Feather Barrage. This move can be held, allowing you to use its projectile attack against enemies.
I liked having a ranged option in this transformation because it gives you another way to attack instead of always moving directly toward your target.
Raven Dive
Raven Dive was the next ability I tested. I used it against an enemy to see how the attack worked in practice.
Scout Vision
I also tried Scout Vision, although I was not entirely sure what it did during my initial test. It seemed like it might be related to spotting enemies or providing additional vision, but I could not confirm its exact effect.
Wing Flight
Wing Flight was one of my favorite abilities in this transformation because it allowed me to fly.
Being able to fly makes the form more interesting beyond just its combat moves. It could also be useful for moving around, depending on how the ability works in different situations.
After testing these moves, I switched to the other transformation to see what it offered.
Transform Felis: All Moves and Abilities
Transform Felis was another highlight of the Grimoire for me. I liked the appearance of this form, and it had a separate set of abilities to test.
As with Gallus, I needed to activate the transformation before using its special moves. The transformation also had a duration or cooldown limitation, so I had to wait before testing some abilities again.
Shadow Twins
Shadow Twins was the first ability I tested in Felis. When activated, it summoned shadow creatures that attacked the target I selected.
This was another example of how useful the Grimoire’s summons could be. Instead of relying entirely on direct attacks, I could bring in additional attackers to help deal damage.
Shadow Rush
Next, I tried Shadow Rush. The move sent me directly toward the enemy, making it useful for closing the distance and starting an attack.
I liked how quickly it moved me toward the target, although its effectiveness will depend on how the opponent reacts.
Night Pounce
Night Pounce was another attack I tested while using Felis. I used it against nearby enemies to see how it performed during a fight.
It was one of the moves I returned to when testing the Grimoire against a boss later.
Predator Vision
I also tested Predator Vision. The effect looked impressive, although I did not fully confirm every detail of what it does.
Claw Ambush
Finally, I tried Claw Ambush. My first attempt did not look particularly impressive, so I gave it another try to see whether I could get a better result.
After testing all the abilities in both transformations, I was impressed with the overall moveset. I would rate the Grimoire around 8.5/10 based on my experience testing it.
The summons, transformations, and variety of attacks make it a fun Grimoire to use.
How to Get Nacht Faust’s Outfit and Cape in Clover Time
After unlocking the Grimoire and testing the moves, I wanted to get Nacht’s clothing so my character could look more like him.
At first, I expected to find a Nacht boss that dropped the outfit. However, I discovered that there was no Nacht boss available for obtaining his clothing through a fight in the version I tested.
Instead, the clothing was available through a Game Pass.
Once I obtained the items, I opened my inventory to check the available equipment.
Nacht Faust Outfit Items
The items I showed in my inventory included:
- Shadow Wanderer Outfit
- Nacht’s cape
- The associated appearance items shown in the inventory
After equipping the outfit and cape, my character looked much closer to Nacht Faust.
If you are trying to recreate his appearance, remember that the clothing method I found was through the Game Pass rather than a boss drop.
Testing Nacht Faust’s Grimoire Against a Boss
Once I had the Grimoire and outfit ready, I decided to test the abilities against a boss. I wanted to see how the moves performed in an actual fight instead of only using them against regular NPCs.
I started by transforming into Felis and trying Shadow Rush. I then used Shadow Twins and Shadow Field while continuing to attack the boss.
Some of the attacks worked well, but I also had to avoid getting hit because the boss could still deal significant damage. The transformation abilities were powerful, but I could not simply stand still and expect to win.
Are the Shadow Summons Better for Boss Fights?
During the fight, I found that using the regular shadow summons could be more convenient than relying only on the transformation attacks.
I summoned both creatures and let them attack the boss while I continued fighting. This made the battle feel much easier because the summons provided additional damage without requiring me to use only direct attacks.
However, the summons also had a timer, which I noticed during the fight. You cannot assume they will remain active indefinitely, so you need to make use of them while they are available.
I continued attacking with my abilities and using the summons until I defeated the boss.
Overall, the fight showed why I liked the Grimoire so much. Having multiple attacks and summons gives you several ways to approach combat, although you still need to manage your timing and avoid enemy attacks.
Nacht Faust’s Secret Shadow Grimoire is one of the more interesting additions to the Clover Time update. I had to roll several times before getting it, but testing the abilities made the effort worthwhile.
My favorite features were the shadow summons, the two transformations, and the ability to switch between different attack styles. The summons were particularly useful when I tested the Grimoire against a boss.
If you want to become Nacht Faust in Clover Time, start by rolling for his Secret Shadow Grimoire, test the abilities in both transformations, and obtain the Shadow Wanderer Outfit and cape through the available Game Pass.
Let me know what you think about Nacht Faust’s Grimoire. Is it a W or an L in the new Clover Time update?
