Codename CURE II Secret Location Guide – Lobby Easter Egg

If you’ve spent any time wandering around the Codename CURE II lobby, you may have noticed that there are plenty of areas that look like they were put there for a reason. One of them actually is.

There’s a small hidden area tucked away behind the shooting range, but the game doesn’t exactly point you toward it. You need to find a battery, break through a hidden barrier, and power a door before you can see what’s waiting on the other side.

The good news is that the whole thing is pretty quick once you know where to look. Here’s how to reach the secret location and check out the extra character information and lore hidden inside.

Codename CURE II Secret Location Guide – Lobby Easter Egg

First, head into the Lobby.

From there, look toward Mission Select. You want to head to the far-left tent, located to the left of Mission Select.

Look around inside the tent and you’ll find a battery.

Pick it up and keep hold of it. You’ll need it for the next part of the secret.

Break the Boards Behind the Shooting Range

Once you’ve collected the battery, make your way behind the shooting range.

This is where the secret starts to become a little less obvious.

You’ll find a section blocked off by some wooden boards. They don’t look particularly important at first, but they can actually be destroyed.

Use your melee attack on the boards.

The default melee key is:

F

Keep hitting the boards until they break apart and reveal a passage.

Follow the Hidden Tunnel

With the boards out of the way, walk through the opening and follow the tunnel.

You don’t need to solve a complicated puzzle here. Just keep moving through the newly opened passage until you reach another area where you’ll find a place specifically designed for the battery you picked up earlier.

This is the part that makes the whole thing click.

You’ve been carrying the battery for a reason.

Insert the Battery to Open the Door

Look for the battery slot inside the tunnel.

Interact with it and place the battery into the slot.

Once you’ve done that, the previously inaccessible door will open.

And that’s your way into the hidden area.

If you’re exploring the lobby without a guide, this is probably the moment where you’d realize why that random battery was sitting inside the tent.

What’s Inside the Secret Room?

Beyond the door is a small hidden location containing extra information about the game’s characters and some lore.

So this isn’t simply a pointless room hidden behind a wall. It’s an Easter egg for players who like digging into the game’s world and checking out details that aren’t immediately presented during normal gameplay.

It’s definitely worth taking a look around rather than immediately turning around after opening the door.

What About the Red Cross?

There’s also an interesting detail inside the secret area: a red cross that doesn’t appear to have an obvious purpose.

At the moment, there doesn’t seem to be a confirmed interaction for it.

Trying to use a grenade on it doesn’t appear to trigger anything, so it’s best to treat this as an unconfirmed secret or possible future Easter egg rather than assuming there’s already a known solution.

It could be decorative, it could be connected to something else in the game, or there may simply be another interaction that players haven’t discovered yet.

So if you’re exploring the room and notice the red cross, you’re not missing an obvious battery or button—the purpose of it isn’t currently clear.

Codename CURE II Secret Location – Quick Route

If you just want the shortest possible version of the route:

Lobby → Far-left tent → Pick up the battery → Go behind the shooting range → Break the wooden boards with F → Follow the tunnel → Insert the battery → Enter the secret room

Once inside, take a look around for the character information and lore.

This is exactly the kind of little secret that’s easy to miss in Codename CURE II because nothing immediately tells you that the battery in the tent is connected to a hidden area.

If you’re the type of player who likes exploring the lobby instead of immediately jumping into a mission, it’s worth checking out. The hidden room gives you some additional character and lore information, and there may still be more to discover—especially with that mysterious red cross.

For now, though, the battery-and-tunnel route is all you need to reach the secret location.
