Cultivation Evermortal Beginner Guide – Trello Link, Tips

Starting out in Cultivation Evermortal can feel a little confusing because there are quite a few systems to unlock, and knowing when to ascend makes a big difference. If you are just starting your cultivation journey, this guide will help you understand what you should focus on during the early game and how to progress toward the Great Dao.

In this post, I’ll walk you through the progression I recommend, including when to ascend, which Dao Tree branches to prioritize, how to handle Spirit Roots, and when you should start spending your Spirit Jades. We’ll also cover the important Secret Companions you should work toward.

Once you reach the later stages, we’ll go over the AFK Macro Ascending setup as well. If you can reach the required Realm quickly enough, this can save you a huge amount of time and make your progression much easier.

Cultivation Evermortal Beginner Guide – Trello Link, Tips

When you first start playing, I recommend manually ascending until you unlock the AFK Macro Ascending Dao. Don’t rush into automation immediately because you want to build a strong foundation first.

After your first ascension at Realm 4, start unlocking the Body branches in the Dao Tree. Your first goal should be improving your Qi and Breakthrough Chance, as these will make your early progression much smoother.

Before you ascend again, use the Spirit Stones you have earned from sect sparring and encounters to unlock around 2 or 3 Spirit Root slots.

After that, ascend twice at Realm 15. This will allow you to unlock the remaining Body and Fortune branches.

Early Ascension Order

After reaching this point, I recommend ascending at the following Realms:

  • Realm 18
  • Realm 21
  • Realm 24
  • Realm 28

Once you reach Realm 28, start repeatedly ascending around Realm 28–30.

This might feel repetitive, but there is a good reason for doing it. You want to build up your Qi Multiplier, which will eventually help you get through the difficult Realm 30–40 wall.

Stay around this range until your important Dao Tree branches are roughly Level 8–12.

While you’re doing this, continue unlocking your remaining Spirit Root slots. For each slot, auto-divine the cheapest options until you eventually get a Divine or Chaos Root, then move on to the next slot.

Important Early Game Tips

There are a few things I recommend doing throughout the early game.

First, always practice your techniques. Whenever you ascend and have access to a better sect, move to it so you can obtain stronger manuals.

You should also meditate regularly, as this helps with your overall progression.

Most importantly, try not to waste your Spirit Jades during the early game. Save them for later because they become much more valuable once you reach the mid-game.

Dao Mark Upgrade Priority

When upgrading your Dao Marks, this is the order I recommend.

1. Body

Your first priority should be:

  • Qi Boost
  • Breakthrough Chance

These upgrades directly help you progress through Realms faster.

2. Fortune

After Body, focus on:

  • Divination Luck
  • Spirit Stones

These will help improve your Spirit Root progression and resource generation.

3. Seclusion

Finally, focus on:

  • Meditation Gains
  • Qi Return Upon Failure

If you don’t plan on being AFK very often, you can instead put some investment into Offline Efficiency.

Mid-Game Secret Companions

Once you reach the mid-game, one of your biggest priorities should be obtaining the important Secret Companions.

I recommend working toward them in this order.

Jinzhao, the Bronze Meridian

Jinzhao should be one of your highest priorities.

Her requirements are:

  • Ascend 12 times
  • Raise Dao Tree nodes 40 times
  • Ascend 30 more times

Her bonus is Meridian Calibration, which makes every ascension provide 10% more Dao Marks.

This is extremely useful for long-term Dao Tree progression.

I especially recommend getting Jinzhao early. If you leave her until you’ve nearly maxed your Dao Tree, the later requirements can become much more expensive.

Lianwu, the Rootdream

Lianwu is another extremely important Secret Companion.

Her requirements are:

  • Refine 1 Spirit Root to its final level
  • Cultivate for 24 hours online
  • Divine 40 Spirit Roots

Her bonus is Rooted Breath. After you’ve been online for ten minutes, all Qi flows 10% faster until you leave.

Because of how useful this is for cultivation speed, Lianwu should be another major goal during your mid-game progression.

Longzhen, the Stormhorn

Longzhen focuses more on boss progression.

His requirements are:

  • Win 60 boss fights
  • Win 12 boss fights consecutively without losing
  • Win 8 boss fights without taking a single hit

His bonus is Thunder Ledger, which makes every fifth hit against a boss deal 25% more damage.

Hexu, the Cloudfeather

Hexu focuses on Spirit Beasts.

His requirements are:

  • Hatch 40 Spirit Beast eggs
  • Raise a Spirit Beast to Level 25
  • Hatch 120 additional eggs

His bonus is Patient Nest, which makes Spirit Beast eggs hatch 20% faster.

Breaking Through the Realm 30–40 Wall

Once you’ve built up your Qi Multiplier and gotten through the Realm 30–40 wall, progression becomes considerably easier.

From there, you should be able to push much further, eventually reaching around Realm 80–85 without the same level of difficulty.

At this stage, continue spamming ascensions for a while. Your next major goal is breaking through the Realm 85–90 wall.

Don’t worry if progress feels repetitive here. This part of the game is largely about building your permanent progression until your character is strong enough to push beyond the wall.

Mid-Game Priorities

While you’re repeatedly ascending, you should also work on several other goals.

Your priorities should include:

  • Upgrading your Dao Tree
  • Getting 5 Chaos Roots
  • Alternatively, getting high-Qi-Multiplier Divine Roots
  • Exploring the dungeons
  • Starting to spend your saved Spirit Jades

By this point, you should have a much stronger understanding of your progression and can start putting the resources you’ve been saving to use.

Spirit Jade Spending Priority

Once you reach this stage, I recommend spending your Spirit Jades in roughly this order:

  1. 4 GPS Bundle
  2. Permanent Qi Blessing
  3. Permanent Luck Blessing
  4. Bloodline & Divine Body Spins

For the Bloodline and Divine Body Spins, prioritize getting a Mythical Bloodline.

Once you obtain the Mythical Bloodline, you can stop spending on those spins and use your remaining Spirit Jades on Jade Techniques instead. Alternatively, you can simply save your Spirit Jades for later.

Also, make sure you use any active codes you have available for additional Spirit Jades.

Jade Technique Priority

For Jade Techniques, I recommend purchasing them in this order:

  1. Heaven’s Marrow Codex
  2. Dragon Marrow Scripture
  3. Heaven-Defying Sutra
  4. Dragonbone Scripture

Don’t make the mistake of completely maxing one technique before touching the others.

Instead, upgrade the first three in rotation. This gives you a better overall progression rather than putting all your resources into a single technique.

For now, you can also skip breakthrough-chance-related Jade Techniques. They aren’t a priority at this stage.

When Should You Start AFK Macro Ascending?

Eventually, you can move away from manually managing every ascension and start using AFK Macro Ascending.

For PC players, you can use TinyTask, while phone players can use an Auto Clicker.

However, don’t start doing this too early.

First, check whether you can reach around Realm 110–115 in under 8 minutes.

If you can, you’re ready to start using the macro.

If you can’t reach that range yet, simply find the highest Realm you can reach within eight minutes and start your macro from there.

The important thing is keeping the entire cycle reasonably fast.

AFK Macro Ascending Setup

The basic macro progression is quite simple.

Start by repeatedly breaking through until you reach Realm 20.

Then:

Break All → Realm 20 → Practice All → Return to Cultivate

Next:

Break All → Realm 40 → Practice All → Return to Cultivate

Then:

Break All → Realm 80 → Practice All → Return to Cultivate

Finally:

Break All → Continue until your chosen Ascension Realm → Return to Cultivate

Once the cultivation cycle is complete, repeat the process.

Best Realm for Ascending

For the actual ascension point, around Realm 110–115 is a good target.

Personally, I would recommend starting around Realm 110 because it gives you a nice balance between progression and cycle speed.

The most important thing is making sure the macro doesn’t take longer than about 8 minutes per cycle.

As a general benchmark:

  • Under 8 minutes: Good
  • Under 5 minutes: Very good
  • Around 3 minutes: Excellent
  • Under 2 minutes: Sweet spot

If you can get your cycle below two minutes, you’re in a very strong position for automated progression.

The biggest thing to remember in Cultivation Evermortal is that you shouldn’t focus only on reaching the highest Realm possible. A lot of your progression comes from permanent upgrades, Dao Marks, Spirit Roots, techniques, companions, and repeated ascensions.

During the early game, focus on building your foundation and don’t waste Spirit Jades. Get your important Dao Tree upgrades, improve your Spirit Roots, and keep moving into better sects.

Once you reach the mid-game, prioritize Jinzhao and Lianwu, build your Qi Multiplier, work toward Chaos or strong Divine Roots, and start investing your saved Spirit Jades.

Finally, once you’re strong enough to reach around Realm 110 quickly, you can set up your macro and let repeated ascensions handle much of the grinding for you. This is where the progression starts becoming much more efficient and you can focus on pushing toward the Great Dao.
