If you’re trying to figure out where to go next in Deskrawl: Idle ARPG, the world map is one of the most useful things to keep open while playing. There are a lot of stages spread across different regions, and the map also marks important locations such as bosses, mini-bosses, towns, fishing spots and treasure maps.
The full world currently contains 70 regular stages across 11 regions, starting with the low-level Kings Woods and eventually leading all the way to The Cinder Crown at Level 70.
In this guide, I’ll break down the Deskrawl map region by region, explain what each icon means, list the enemy level ranges, and cover the special locations you’ll eventually unlock.
Deskrawl Idle ARPG Map Guide – All Regions, Stages, Bosses

The map shows the complete world and the routes connecting the different stages.
You can use the map to see which areas you’ve already unlocked, where the next stages are located, and where the major boss encounters are found.
The map also has several different icons, so knowing what each one represents makes it much easier to navigate.
Deskrawl Map Icons Explained
Before looking at the regions, here’s what the icons on the map mean.
| Icon | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Stage | Normal combat stage |
| Mini-Boss Stage | Stage containing a mini-boss |
| Boss Stage | Major boss encounter |
| Town | City where you can access town services |
| Fishing Spot | Location where you can fish |
| Treasure Map | Treasure-related location |
| Show Unlock Routes | Displays the routes connecting unlocked areas |
The normal black stage markers make up most of the map.
The special gold-ringed markers are particularly important because they indicate boss stages, while the darker special markers can identify mini-boss stages.

Kings Woods
Level Range: 1–10
Stages: 7
Kings Woods is the starting region of Deskrawl.
This is where you’ll learn the game’s basic combat and progression systems while fighting your way through the first seven stages.
The enemies start at the lowest levels in the game and gradually increase toward Level 10.
The final stage contains the region’s boss.
For new players, this is where you’ll get familiar with automatic combat, equipment, your loot carriage and the other basic systems.
Spire Hill Crypt
Level Range: 11–16
Stages: 4
After Kings Woods, you’ll move into Spire Hill Crypt.
This region is smaller than most of the later areas, containing only four stages.
Enemy levels range from 11 to 16, and the final stage contains the region boss.
Spire Hill Crypt Lower
Level Range: 17–19
Stages: 3
The Lower section of Spire Hill Crypt contains only three stages.
Enemies are between Level 17 and 19.
Despite being a short region, it acts as another progression step before you move into the larger mid-game areas.
Kings Woods South
Level Range: 20–28
Stages: 7
Kings Woods South brings you back to a larger seven-stage region.
Enemies range from Level 20 to 28.
By this point, your character should be noticeably stronger than during the opening areas, and equipment upgrades and your chosen class build start becoming more important.
Tazan Wastes
Level Range: 28–34
Stages: 7
Tazan Wastes contains seven stages with enemies from Level 28 to 34.
This is another major step forward in the world map and eventually leads toward Tazan Isles.
Tazan Isles
Level Range: 34–40
Stages: 7
Tazan Isles continues the progression through the upper Level 30 range.
There are seven stages, with enemies reaching Level 40 toward the end of the region.
The final stage contains the area’s boss.
The Barrens
Level Range: 40–46
Stages: 7
The Barrens is the next major region after Tazan Isles.
Enemies range from Level 40 to 46 across seven stages.
This is also an important region to remember for later content because Dreamy Barrens is one of the special locations found in the game.
The Crimson Vale
Level Range: 46–52
Stages: 7
The Crimson Vale continues the progression into the Level 50 range.
There are seven stages, with enemies ranging from Level 46 to 52.
The final stage contains the region boss.
Veldak Highlands
Level Range: 52–58
Stages: 7
Veldak Highlands contains seven stages and Level 52–58 enemies.
This is one of the later regions before the final stretch toward Level 70.
The region is also associated with City of Veldak, one of the three major cities shown on the world map.
The Defiled Keep
Level Range: 58–64
Stages: 7
The Defiled Keep is the second-to-last main region.
Enemies range from Level 58 to 64 across seven stages.
You’ll need a well-developed character by this point because the enemy levels are getting close to the game’s normal level cap.
The Cinder Crown
Level Range: 65–70
Stages: 7
The Cinder Crown is the final regular region on the Deskrawl map.
Enemies range from Level 65 to 70, making this the highest-level normal region.
There are seven stages, and the final stage contains the region’s boss.
Reaching the end of The Cinder Crown is also important for difficulty progression because defeating the final boss on Normal unlocks Nightmare difficulty.
Special Locations
The regular regions aren’t the only locations shown on the map.
Deskrawl also has several special areas with their own level requirements and stages.
| Special Location | Level | Stages |
|---|---|---|
| Dreamy Kings Woods | Lv. 30 | 1 |
| Dreamy Barrens | Lv. 46 | 1 |
| Dreamy Keep | Lv. 65 | 1 |
| Mythic Rift | Lv. 70 | 1 |
| Training Grounds | Lv. 1 | 1 |
These aren’t counted as part of the 70 regular stages across the 11 main regions.
Dreamy Kings Woods
Level 30
1 Stage
Dreamy Kings Woods is a special Level 30 location based around the early-game Kings Woods region.
Unlike the normal region, it contains just one stage.
Dreamy Barrens
Level 46
1 Stage
Dreamy Barrens is another one-stage special location.
It is set at Level 46, matching the level range around the beginning of The Barrens.
Dreamy Keep
Level 65
1 Stage
Dreamy Keep is a Level 65 special location associated with the later-game areas.
It also contains a single stage.
Mythic Rift
Level 70
1 Stage
The Mythic Rift is one of the major endgame locations.
It is set at Level 70 and contains one stage.
The Mythic Rift also requires Inferno difficulty, so it isn’t something you’ll be able to access during the early or mid-game.
If you’re working toward endgame progression, this is one of the locations you’ll eventually want to keep in mind.
Training Grounds
Level 1
1 Stage
The Training Grounds is a special Level 1 location containing one stage.
It’s separate from the normal regional progression and is intended for training-related purposes.
The Three Cities
The Deskrawl world has three major cities shown on the map:
- City of Tazan
- City of Aldenreach
- City of Veldak
Towns are particularly important because they provide access to your various services and progression systems.
For example, City of Aldenreach is the first city you encounter and contains NPCs such as the General Vendor, Alchemist, Auctioneer, Blacksmith, Mystery Item Vendor and Gem Specialist.
Boss Stages
The final map of each main region contains a boss.
This gives each region a clear progression structure:
Stages → Stronger stages → Boss → Next region
Boss stages are marked with the gold boss icon on the map.
These encounters are important because defeating bosses allows you to continue progressing through the world.
The final boss of The Cinder Crown is especially important because it also ties into the game’s difficulty system.
Mini-Boss Stages
Some stages are marked as Mini-Boss stages.
These are different from the major boss stages at the end of regions.
The mini-boss icon on the map helps you identify these encounters without confusing them with the main regional bosses.
If you’re looking at the map and see a special stage marker that isn’t the large gold boss icon, check the map legend to determine whether it is a mini-boss stage.
Fishing Spots
The blue fishing icon represents a Fishing Spot.
These locations are separate from normal combat stages and give you somewhere to fish.
If you’re working on fishing-related progression, keep an eye on these blue markers when exploring the map.
Treasure Map Locations
The chest icon represents a Treasure Map location.
These are another type of special point of interest scattered around the world.
If you’re trying to find treasure-related content, the chest markers on the map are the places you want to investigate.
How the World Progression Works
The main world is designed as a straightforward progression path.
You begin in Kings Woods and gradually move through the regions:
Kings Woods → Spire Hill Crypt → Spire Hill Crypt Lower → Kings Woods South → Tazan Wastes → Tazan Isles → The Barrens → The Crimson Vale → Veldak Highlands → The Defiled Keep → The Cinder Crown
The enemy levels rise as you move through the map.
The final region reaches Level 70, which matches the game’s normal character level cap.
Map Progression Tips
Follow the Stage Routes
The dotted routes on the map show how the stages connect.
If you’re unsure where your next stage is located, enable the Show Unlock Routes option to make the progression path easier to follow.
Keep an Eye on Boss Icons
If you’re approaching the end of a region, look for the gold boss marker.
That’s your indication that you’re approaching the area’s major boss.
Use Towns as Your Main Hubs
Towns aren’t just decoration on the map.
They are where you’ll return to access important services, manage your character and change certain progression settings.
You can also change your difficulty only while in town.
Don’t Forget the Special Locations
Once you reach the appropriate levels, check the map for the Dreamy areas and other special locations.
The Mythic Rift, in particular, is an important endgame destination because it requires Inferno difficulty.
