If you’ve just started playing Digimon UP, you’ve probably collected a decent amount of DigiEmeralds and summon tickets already. The next question is deciding where to spend them.
With multiple banners available, it’s tempting to summon on everything, but that’s rarely the best strategy. Some banners provide much better long-term value than others, while certain characters can even be obtained for free.
To help you avoid wasting valuable resources, here’s a complete breakdown of the current banners, which one is worth your DigiEmeralds, and what permanent banners are available.
Current Event Banners
At launch, Digimon UP features two limited-time banners that run during Version 1.0.
Tai Kamiya & Agumon (Buddy Banner)
Availability
- July 15, 2026
- August 5, 2026
This banner features Tai Kamiya & Agumon (EX+), one of the strongest Buddy Digimon currently available. Agumon’s permanent Counterattack Rate passive makes it an outstanding Buddy that remains useful throughout the game.
However, there’s one important thing to remember.
Many players receive Tai Kamiya & Agumon for free through the launch rewards. Because of that, spending your DigiEmeralds here usually isn’t the most efficient choice unless you’re specifically trying to collect duplicate copies for Breakthrough upgrades.
WarGreymon (SP Ver.) Banner
Availability
- July 15, 2026
- August 5, 2026
This banner features WarGreymon (SP Ver.) EX+, one of the strongest SP Support Digimon available at launch.
Unlike Buddy Agumon, WarGreymon isn’t automatically handed to every player, making this banner much more valuable for most accounts.
WarGreymon’s passive ability deals powerful area-of-effect damage whenever your Partner Digimon lands a critical Normal Attack. Since this effect activates automatically without requiring manual input, it consistently adds extra damage throughout every battle.
If you’re only planning to invest in one limited banner during Version 1.0, this is the one to choose.
Which Banner Gives the Best Value?
Right now, the answer is fairly straightforward.
Pull on the WarGreymon (SP Ver.) Banner
For the majority of players, WarGreymon (SP Ver.) offers significantly better value than the Buddy banner.
There are two main reasons for this.
First, Tai Kamiya & Agumon are already available as part of the launch rewards, meaning many players don’t need to spend summons trying to obtain them.
Second, WarGreymon is one of the strongest SP Support Digimon currently available and remains useful well into the late game thanks to its powerful passive damage.
If you’re starting a brand-new account or even planning to reroll, WarGreymon should be your primary target.
Is the Buddy Banner Worth Summoning?
It depends on your account.
If you’ve already claimed the free Tai Kamiya & Agumon, there’s usually little reason to prioritize this banner immediately.
The main reason to continue summoning here would be to obtain duplicate copies for Breakthrough upgrades, allowing Agumon to become even stronger over time.
For newer players who haven’t claimed the free rewards, however, the Buddy banner still offers excellent value.
Upcoming Banners
At the time of writing, no future banners have been officially announced.
The developers haven’t revealed the next featured Buddy, SP Support, or limited event summon.
As soon as new information becomes available through the official Digimon UP announcements, the banner schedule will likely be updated.
For now, it’s worth saving some DigiEmeralds after obtaining your main targets in case another powerful EX+ Digimon arrives soon.
Permanent Summon Banners
Besides limited-time events, Digimon UP also includes several permanent banners that remain available throughout the game.
Skill Card Banner
This banner uses Skill Card Summon Tickets to obtain new Skill Cards.
Skill Cards are one of your main damage sources during combat, providing everything from high burst damage to useful buffs and debuffs.
As your collection grows, you’ll gain access to stronger cards that can dramatically improve your overall performance.
Support Digimon Banner
The Support Digimon banner uses Support Summon Tickets.
Support Digimon provide passive Battle Effects that activate simply by being equipped to your team. These bonuses can increase Critical Rate, Skill Damage, Boss Damage, cooldown efficiency, and much more.
Building a strong collection of Support Digimon becomes increasingly important as you progress into harder content.
Crest Banner
The Crest banner is part of Digimon UP’s endgame progression.
Instead of being available from the start, this system unlocks later after meeting the required progression milestones.
Once available, it allows players to spend Encrypted Data to obtain Crests that provide additional stat improvements and customization options for high-level teams.
Since this feature isn’t accessible during the early game, there’s no need to worry about it when you’re just getting started.
Should You Save Your DigiEmeralds?
If you’ve already pulled the Digimon you wanted from the current banners, saving your DigiEmeralds is a perfectly reasonable strategy.
Limited banners often introduce stronger Digimon over time, and having resources ready when a new EX+ character appears gives you much more flexibility than spending everything immediately.
However, if you’re still missing WarGreymon (SP Ver.), it’s generally worth continuing to summon while its banner remains available.
Best Pull Priority
If you’re wondering where your resources should go, here’s the order I’d recommend:
- WarGreymon (SP Ver.) Banner – Best overall value for most players.
- Tai Kamiya & Agumon Banner – Worth considering if you don’t already own Agumon or want duplicate copies.
- Skill Card Banner – Great for strengthening your overall damage once you have a solid roster.
- Support Digimon Banner – Excellent for improving passive bonuses across your team.
- Crest Banner – Focus on this only after unlocking the endgame system.
Choosing the right banner is one of the easiest ways to speed up your progression in Digimon UP. While every banner has its purpose, the current launch event clearly favors WarGreymon (SP Ver.), thanks to its incredible passive damage and long-term usefulness.
If you already received Tai Kamiya & Agumon through the launch rewards, you’re usually better off spending your DigiEmeralds on WarGreymon instead. After securing your main targets, you can either strengthen your account through the permanent Skill Card and Support Digimon banners or save resources for the next wave of limited-time characters.
