When most players think about building a stronger team in Digimon UP, they usually focus on their Partner Digimon or Skill Cards. Support Digimon, however, are just as important. The right Support Digimon can increase your damage, shorten skill cooldowns, improve your critical hits, or even make difficult boss fights much easier.
Not every Support Digimon is worth investing in, though. Some are built entirely around boosting your offensive power, while others focus on survivability. Since clearing stages quickly is the fastest way to progress, offensive Support Digimon generally offer much more value than defensive ones.

Durandamon
Durandamon is easily one of the strongest Support Digimon available right now. Besides having some of the highest base stats in the game, it further increases your Partner Digimon’s Normal Attack Damage, allowing every basic attack to hit noticeably harder. Since Normal Attacks are used constantly throughout every battle, this passive bonus provides excellent value during story progression, boss fights, and PvP alike.
HeavyLeomon
HeavyLeomon is another top-tier Support Digimon that focuses on increasing your Partner’s Critical Rate. More critical hits naturally lead to higher overall damage, making HeavyLeomon a fantastic choice for almost every offensive build. Combined with its excellent EX+ base stats, it remains one of the safest long-term investments.
HiAndromon
If your team relies heavily on active skills, HiAndromon deserves serious consideration. Its passive increases Skill Critical Rate, allowing your skills to land critical hits much more consistently. Since skill damage becomes increasingly important in the late game, HiAndromon scales extremely well and remains useful throughout every stage of progression.
Skadimon
Skadimon rounds out the S Tier by increasing your Partner Digimon’s Stun Rate. Landing more stuns means enemies spend less time attacking and more time standing still, giving you additional opportunities to deal damage safely. Its impressive stats combined with reliable crowd control make it one of the strongest utility Support Digimon currently available.

Hydramon

BryweLudramon
BryweLudramon specializes in reducing incoming Critical Damage. Tough bosses and PvP opponents often rely on critical hits to deal massive bursts of damage, so this passive helps smooth out incoming damage and makes your team much harder to defeat.
BlueMeramon
BlueMeramon is one of the better offensive Support Digimon thanks to its Skill Damage increase. Players who rely on powerful Skill Cards or frequent active abilities will notice a meaningful jump in overall DPS after adding BlueMeramon to their team.
Wingdramon
Wingdramon has one of the most unique passive effects in the game. Instead of increasing damage directly, it reduces your Partner Digimon’s Skill Cooldown, allowing skills to be used more frequently. This makes it an excellent companion for BlueMeramon, since casting more skills also means benefiting from BlueMeramon’s Skill Damage bonus more often.
Jazarichmon
If you’re spending most of your time fighting bosses, Jazarichmon is an excellent pick. Its passive increases Boss Damage, helping you clear difficult PvE encounters much faster. The effect becomes increasingly valuable during mid- and late-game progression where boss battles make up a large portion of the content.
HippoGryphonmon
HippoGryphonmon focuses entirely on increasing Critical Damage. Rather than making critical hits happen more often, it ensures every critical strike deals even more damage. Pairing it with Critical Rate-focused Support Digimon creates an excellent offensive combination.

Lavoraitamon
Lavoraitamon reduces the amount of damage your Partner receives from bosses. It’s a useful defensive option for players struggling against difficult encounters, although offensive Support Digimon generally help progression more by ending fights faster.
Monzaemon
Monzaemon increases Support Digimon Damage, boosting the damage dealt by your entire Support lineup. While not as immediately noticeable as direct Attack buffs, this passive becomes more valuable as your collection of powerful Support Digimon grows.
Kyukimon
Kyukimon offers one of the more interesting utility effects by reducing Skill Card cooldowns whenever a Skill Card is used. This allows defensive and utility Skill Cards to become available more frequently, making certain team setups much smoother to play.
Fumamon
Fumamon provides another increase to Skill Critical Rate, although its overall stats and effectiveness place it below higher-tier alternatives like HiAndromon. It’s still a solid option until stronger Support Digimon become available.
Duramon
Duramon improves Normal Attack Damage, much like Durandamon, but with lower overall stats and a smaller passive bonus. It’s a respectable choice early on, though most players will eventually upgrade to its stronger counterpart.
C Tier

Meteormon
Meteormon reduces the amount of damage your Partner Digimon receives from enemies. The extra survivability is helpful during the early game, but since it doesn’t contribute to defeating enemies faster, it gradually loses value as stronger offensive Support Digimon become available.
Meramon
Meramon increases Skill Damage, making it a decent offensive Support for newer players. While the bonus is useful, higher-rarity options like BlueMeramon eventually provide much stronger versions of the same effect.
Unimon
Unimon increases Critical Damage, giving your critical hits more impact. It’s perfectly serviceable during the early game but is eventually outclassed by stronger Critical Damage supports such as HippoGryphonmon.
How to Choose Your Support Digimon
If you’re unsure which Support Digimon to equip, the game includes an Auto Select option that automatically chooses the strongest Support Digimon in your collection based on rarity and base stats.
This is a great option for beginners, especially if you haven’t built a large roster yet. As your collection grows, however, you’ll get better results by manually choosing Support Digimon whose passive abilities work well together.
For example:
- BlueMeramon + Wingdramon creates an excellent skill-focused combination by increasing both Skill Damage and skill usage frequency.
- HeavyLeomon + HippoGryphonmon is perfect for critical-hit builds, combining higher Critical Rate with stronger Critical Damage.
- Jazarichmon is one of the best choices whenever you’re preparing for difficult boss fights.
Which Support Digimon Should You Prioritize?
If you’re lucky enough to summon several high-rarity Support Digimon, I’d recommend upgrading them in this order:

Support Digimon quietly provide some of the biggest passive boosts in Digimon UP, making them an essential part of every team. While defensive effects certainly have their place, the current meta heavily favors offensive bonuses that increase your damage and speed up stage progression.
If you can obtain any of the S Tier Support Digimon, they’ll remain valuable throughout the game thanks to their outstanding stats and powerful passive effects. For everyone else, combining strong A Tier options like BlueMeramon, Wingdramon, and Jazarichmon will still give you an excellent foundation for tackling everything Digimon UP has to offer.
