If you’re getting deeper into Doloc Town, you’ll quickly notice that crafting isn’t just about collecting materials. A lot of useful items, furniture, farming supplies, and food are locked behind recipes that you have to discover first.
The good news is that recipes aren’t hidden in one single place. Some come from quests, others arrive through the mail, and quite a few can be purchased from merchants. A handful are also found while exploring the world.
I’ve put together everything currently known below, including where each recipe comes from, who sells it, how much it costs, and where you’ll actually craft the item. If you’re trying to unlock as much of the crafting system as possible, this should give you a pretty solid checklist to work through.
Doloc Town 1.0 Recipes – Unlock Every Recipe and Cookbook
There are a few different ways you’ll unlock recipes in Doloc Town.
The most common methods are:
- Buying recipes from NPC shops
- Completing quests and tasks
- Receiving letters
- Getting recipes as rewards
- Finding recipes while exploring
- Progressing through story events
It’s worth checking merchants whenever you reach a new area, too. Some recipes become available for purchase only after you’ve progressed far enough in the story.

Recipes Sold by Kuma
The traveling trader Kuma has several useful recipes, and these are especially worth checking whenever the trader is available.
You can purchase:
- Scarecrow Recipe — 1,000 Goldcoin
- Sleeping Bag Recipe — 2,500 Goldcoin
- Time Bomb Recipe — 5,000 Goldcoin
The Time Bomb is the expensive one, so don’t be surprised if you need to save up before grabbing it.
Recipes From Lank and the Waste Exchange
Lank is another important NPC for recipe hunting.
At the Waste Exchange, you can purchase:
- Cardboard Box Hat Recipe — 200 Rubbish
- Iron Patch Recipe — 80 Rubbish
Lank also gives you recipes through tasks and mail. For example, completing the Environmental Crisis task gets you the Box Recipe, while completing Lost Pickaxe rewards the Platform – Rubbish Recipe.
You’ll also receive the Electric Wire Recipe from Lank through the mail.
Recipes Connected to Kasia and Weather Events
Don’t ignore the weather events in Doloc Town. They aren’t just there for atmosphere — some of them directly unlock recipes.
After your first acid rain, Kasia becomes important for your crafting progression. You’ll receive the Fabric Patch Recipe in a letter, while the Plastic Mulch Recipe is given to you on your farm on the morning of that first acid rain.
Later, after experiencing your first lightning storm, Kasia gives you the Weather Station Recipe.
So if you’re wondering why certain recipes haven’t appeared yet, progressing through these weather events may be the answer.
Recipes From Mira
Mira has a couple of recipes connected to your progress around Rivervalley.
After meeting her for the first time during the Night Meeting task, you’ll receive the Advanced Wooden Patch Recipe.
You can also purchase the Trampoline Recipe from Mira at the Outpost Supply Point for 1,000 Goldcoin.
Recipes From Doloc’s Letters of Gratitude
Some furniture recipes are tied to completing construction projects rather than buying them directly.
After completing Bus Station Construction – Outpost in the Treaty Port, you’ll receive a Letter of Gratitude from Doloc containing the Wooden Chair Recipe.
Completing the Rest Area in Outpost in the Treaty Port similarly rewards you with the Wooden Table Recipe.
These are easy to overlook because you’re not buying the recipes from a normal shop.
Recipes You Find While Exploring
Not everything comes from NPCs.
The Mechanical Broadsword Recipe is one example. You can find it while exploring the Mountains, and it requires the Garbage Smelter to craft.
So whenever you open up a new region, it’s worth exploring properly rather than simply following the main objective. You never know when you’ll stumble across another recipe or useful crafting item.
Best Way to Unlock Recipes Quickly
If your goal is to collect every recipe without constantly wondering what you’re missing, I’d recommend handling them alongside normal progression.
First, check every merchant whenever you reach a new area. Zenis, Kuma, Lank, Mody, Mira, Hult, Gerald, and Licca all have different items, so there isn’t one shop where you can buy everything.
Next, don’t ignore letters. Several recipes are delivered through the mail, including the Electric Wire, Fabric Patch, and Wooden Patch recipes.
It’s also worth completing side tasks when you encounter them. The Environmental Crisis, Lost Pickaxe, and Night Meeting tasks all have recipe-related rewards.
And finally, keep an eye on major weather events and story milestones. Acid rain, lightning storms, and Treaty Port construction projects all tie into recipe unlocks.
Don’t Forget the Recipe Shops
If you’re sitting on a pile of Goldcoin or Rubbish and wondering what to spend it on, recipe purchases are generally a good long-term investment. Unlocking a recipe once means you can actually make the item yourself later instead of depending on a merchant.
For completionists especially, I’d recommend keeping a small checklist of the recipes you’ve already unlocked. Some of the later recipes are tied to specific quests or events, so it can be annoying to figure out what you missed after you’ve already progressed much further into the game.
