Tree Sentinel Spectral Steed Attire
The Tree Sentinel Spectral Steed Attire gives Torrent the appearance of an Erdtree Tree Sentinel, complete with the heavily armored and gilded look associated with the mounted guardians.
If you’ve ever looked at a Tree Sentinel and thought, “I wish Torrent looked like that,” well, apparently someone at FromSoftware heard you.

You can find this attire in Stormveil Castle, in the Limgrave region.
The exact pickup location is still being confirmed, so you’ll need to explore Stormveil rather than heading to a currently confirmed single item marker.
Stormveil is already a maze of rooftops, courtyards, corridors, and hidden paths, so I’d recommend checking side areas as you make your way through the castle.
What Does Tree Sentinel Attire Do?
It changes Torrent’s appearance to match the Tree Sentinel aesthetic.
That’s all it does mechanically.
The attire is purely cosmetic, so it doesn’t increase Torrent’s health, speed, damage, or any other statistic.
Silver of Caria Spectral Steed Attire
If the Tree Sentinel look is a little too flashy for you, the Silver of Caria Spectral Steed Attire takes Torrent in a completely different direction.
This appearance is inspired by the Carian royal family, featuring the pale silver and blue aesthetic associated with Caria Manor and the Cuckoo Knights of Raya Lucaria.
It’s a particularly fitting choice if your character is already leaning toward the magical or Carian side of Elden Ring.

The attire can be found in Liurnia of the Lakes.
As with the other new attires, the exact pickup point is still being confirmed.
Since Liurnia is such a huge region, don’t assume you’ll simply stumble across it while following the main route. Exploring the area’s less obvious paths is your best bet until the exact location is fully established.
What Does Silver of Caria Attire Do?
Once obtained, it changes Torrent’s visual appearance to the Carian-inspired design.
There are no gameplay benefits or stat changes.
So if you were hoping for faster Torrent movement or some kind of magical bonus, unfortunately you’ll have to settle for looking considerably more stylish instead.
Funereal Night Spectral Steed Attire
The third option is easily the darkest of the three.
The Funereal Night Spectral Steed Attire gives Torrent a look inspired by the Night’s Cavalry, the spectral riders who patrol the roads of the Lands Between after dark.
If you’ve ever fought one of those mysterious riders and thought their horse looked intimidating, this is your chance to give Torrent a similar funerary appearance.

The exact pickup location is still being confirmed, so for now the important thing to remember is the region.
Once you’re exploring Altus Plateau, keep an eye out for side paths and locations away from the main route.
What Does Funereal Night Attire Do?
Just like the other two attires, this is cosmetic only.
It changes how Torrent looks but has no effect on:
- Torrent’s speed
- Torrent’s health
- Combat performance
- Any other stats
- PvE performance
- PvP performance
In other words, equip it because you like the look, not because you’re expecting a hidden gameplay advantage.
How to Equip Spectral Steed Attire
Once you’ve found one of the new Torrent attires, equipping it is thankfully very easy.
- Travel to any Site of Grace.
- Rest at the Site of Grace.
- Look for the spectral steed appearance option.
- Select the attire you’ve obtained.
- Choose it to change Torrent’s appearance.
You can also return Torrent to his default appearance from the same menu whenever you want.
So you’re free to swap between the different looks without permanently committing to one.
Do You Need the Tarnished Pack?
Yes, if you’re playing on PlayStation, Xbox, or Steam, these new Spectral Steed Attires require the Tarnished Pack DLC.
However, there’s a different situation on Nintendo Switch 2.
The content is included with Elden Ring Tarnished Edition, meaning you don’t need to purchase the Tarnished Pack separately on that platform.
The content was added to the base game through Patch 1.17.
Do the Torrent Attires Change His Stats?
No.
This is worth emphasizing because cosmetic equipment in games sometimes comes with hidden bonuses.
The Spectral Steed Attires are 100% cosmetic.
Whether you’re wearing the Tree Sentinel armor, Carian-inspired attire, or Night’s Cavalry-style outfit, Torrent’s gameplay performance remains unchanged.
You can therefore pick your favorite purely based on appearance.
Which Torrent Attire Should You Use?
Honestly, this mostly comes down to your character’s style.
Tree Sentinel is the obvious choice if you want Torrent to look like a heavily armored guardian of the Erdtree.
Silver of Caria fits particularly well with a Carian, sorcery, or magic-focused character.
Funereal Night is perfect if you want that creepy nighttime rider aesthetic and prefer something darker.
And since changing them is so easy, there’s really no reason to choose only one permanently.
So if you’re working your way through the Tarnished Pack content, these are definitely worth picking up. They don’t make Torrent stronger, but let’s be honest—after spending so much time riding across the Lands Between, giving your spectral horse a new look is a pretty nice reward.
