Fisch Harpoon Gun Update Guide – Codes, Quests

The Harpoon Guns update adds a completely new way to catch fish in Fisch. Instead of relying entirely on traditional fishing rods, you can now use ranged Harpoon Guns to target roaming fish directly in the water, fire a harpoon into them, and then complete a pulling minigame to bring the fish in.

There are seven unique Harpoon Guns available in this update, and each one comes with its own stats. They are not all sitting in one convenient shop either. The Harpoon Guns are scattered around different parts of the Fisch map, with locations ranging from areas such as Crystal Cove to the Cursed Isle.

The update also introduces new enchantments and mentions a Trident Strike Ritual in the Desolate Deep, so there is more here than simply buying a Harpoon Gun and shooting fish.

For a new player, the most important thing is understanding that Harpoon Guns are their own equipment type with their own catching mechanic. Once you get used to aiming at roaming fish and completing the pulling minigame, the system is actually pretty straightforward.

Fisch Harpoon Gun Update Guide – Codes, Quests

Harpoon Guns introduce ranged fishing to Fisch.

Normally, fishing revolves around equipping a rod, casting into the water, waiting for a fish, and completing the normal fishing mechanics. Harpoon Guns change that process because you are actively looking for fish swimming or roaming through the water.

When you see a valid fish, you can aim the Harpoon Gun toward it and fire.

Successfully hitting the fish hooks it with your harpoon, but hitting the target does not immediately give you the fish. You then have to complete a separate pulling minigame to actually bring your catch in.

That makes Harpoon fishing feel much more active than regular fishing. You are looking for a target, lining up your shot, firing, and then actively pulling the fish toward you.

After trying the mechanic, I actually think the pulling portion is one of the more enjoyable parts of the update because there is more interaction involved than simply firing the Harpoon Gun and instantly receiving whatever you hit.

Seven Harpoon Guns Are Available

There are currently seven unique Harpoon Guns introduced with the update.

An important detail for beginners is that these guns have different stats. You should not assume that every Harpoon Gun performs exactly the same just because the basic catching mechanic is shared between them.

The seven guns are also spread around the map.

The update information indicates that they can be found across locations ranging from Crystal Cove to the Cursed Isle, which means collecting all seven requires some traveling and exploration.

Some Harpoon Guns are also much easier to find than others. Certain ones can be sitting around an island or recognizable landmark, while others can be surprisingly annoying to track down even when you know the general area.

Because of that, I would not recommend spending all your money on the first Harpoon Gun you happen to see without considering the other options. One of the cheaper guns in particular is not very impressive compared with the alternatives.

Equipping a Harpoon Gun

After purchasing or obtaining a Harpoon Gun, you can equip it through your equipment.

Open your Equipment Bag and go into the section containing your fishing equipment.

You should see a separate Harpoon Guns option alongside your normal fishing rods.

Select the Harpoon Gun you want to use and press the equip option.

This is worth mentioning because Harpoon Guns are not treated as regular fishing rods. If you purchase one and then wonder where it went, check your Equipment Bag and specifically look for the Harpoon Gun section instead of searching through your normal rods.

Once equipped, you can take the Harpoon Gun near the water and start looking for roaming fish.

Catching Fish With a Harpoon Gun

Catching your first fish with a Harpoon Gun is fairly easy once you understand the sequence.

Start by equipping your Harpoon Gun and finding an area where you can actually see fish moving through the water.

Aim toward the fish you want to catch.

Once your target is lined up, click or fire the Harpoon Gun at the fish. If your shot connects properly, the fish becomes hooked.

This immediately begins the next part of the process.

Instead of the fish automatically being added to your inventory, you enter the pulling minigame.

You need to press the Pull prompt quickly to bring the fish toward you. Continue doing this until you successfully complete the minigame.

Once the pulling sequence finishes, the catch is completed.

The full process is essentially:

Find a roaming fish → aim the Harpoon Gun → shoot the fish → hook it → complete the Pull minigame → catch the fish.

The first time I tried it, I expected shooting the fish to be the entire mechanic. The additional pulling section makes more sense once you actually use the gun because the harpoon only hooks the target; you still have to reel or pull that target back.

Pulling Minigame

The new pulling minigame is one of the main mechanics attached to Harpoon Guns.

After successfully shooting a fish, watch for the Pull prompt.

You need to click Pull quickly as part of the minigame.

Continue responding to the pulling mechanic until the sequence is completed.

You do not want to assume the catch is finished immediately after landing your harpoon shot. Be ready for the minigame as soon as you hit the fish.

I personally like this part of Harpoon fishing because it gives the weapon a little more interaction. If shooting a fish instantly collected it, the mechanic would probably become repetitive very quickly. Having to actually pull your catch in makes landing the harpoon feel like the first half of catching the fish rather than the entire process.

Funko Harpoon Gun Location

One of the Harpoon Guns shown in the update is the Funko Harpoon Gun.

This Harpoon Gun costs 155,000.

The gun can be found around the Gray Cop area shown during the search for the new equipment.

Once you reach the correct location, look around carefully for the Harpoon Gun purchase point. Visibility can make this considerably more annoying than it sounds, especially if an event or dark environmental effect is active.

During the update, the area was extremely dark because of an admin event, making the Harpoon Gun much harder to see than it normally should be.

This is something worth remembering if you are following a location and cannot immediately find the weapon. You might actually be standing close to the correct place while poor visibility is hiding it.

Using helpful equipment such as a Fishing Radar can also make navigating and identifying things around the area easier.

Once you locate the Funko Harpoon Gun, you can purchase it for 155,000 and then equip it through:

Equipment Bag → Fishing Rods/Equipment → Harpoon Guns → Equip

After equipping it, head toward visible roaming fish and test the new mechanic.

Steady Harpoon Gun Location

Another Harpoon Gun can be found at Roslit Bay.

This is the Steady Harpoon Gun.

The Steady Harpoon Gun is one of the cheaper options, so naturally it may be tempting for beginners who simply want access to the new mechanic without spending too much money.

However, this is not one I would prioritize.

After checking it out, the Steady Harpoon Gun does not appear particularly impressive compared with the other Harpoon Guns available in the update.

If you are only buying it because you want to experiment with Harpoon fishing or collect every gun, that is understandable. But if your money is limited and you want something you will actually continue using, I would save your currency and look at some of the other Harpoon Guns first.

Cheap equipment is not always bad in Fisch, but in this particular case the Steady Harpoon Gun feels more like an early or collection option than something I would specifically grind toward.

Relic Piercer

The Relic Piercer is another Harpoon Gun mentioned while searching through the new equipment.

This one appears to be considerably harder to locate.

Even while actively searching for it, its exact position was not immediately obvious. That is important to mention rather than pretending every Harpoon Gun has an easy landmark that you can walk directly toward.

If you are trying to collect all seven Harpoon Guns, expect some of them to require considerably more searching than something like the Steady Harpoon Gun.

The weapons are scattered around their respective areas, and simply reaching the correct island does not necessarily mean the Harpoon Gun will immediately be visible.

When looking for one of the harder guns, thoroughly check the surrounding structures, elevated areas, edges of the island, and places where an equipment purchase point could be hidden.

Golden Harpoon Gun

The Golden Harpoon Gun is also part of the new Harpoon Gun content.

During the update, the Golden option could be redeemed, and doing so provided a number of rewards or items along with it.

If you have access to the Golden Harpoon Gun redemption, make sure you actually claim it instead of ignoring the option while focusing only on the Harpoon Guns purchased around the map.

There is enough new content scattered throughout the update that it is easy to focus entirely on searching islands and overlook something that can simply be redeemed.

Once claimed, check your equipment and available rewards so you know exactly what was added to your account.

Harpoon Gun Locations Across the Map

One of the biggest things to understand when starting this update is that the Harpoon Guns are deliberately scattered around Fisch.

You are not going to find a single Harpoon merchant selling all seven weapons.

The update specifically sends players across multiple areas, ranging from Crystal Cove to the Cursed Isle.

That makes collecting Harpoon Guns partly an exploration objective.

Some locations are relatively straightforward, while others can be difficult to find depending on the island you are searching.

If you reach an island and cannot see the Harpoon Gun immediately, do not assume you have the wrong location. Search the island properly before leaving.

I would especially check:

  • Around NPCs and equipment areas
  • Near docks and shorelines
  • Beside or behind structures
  • Elevated sections of the island
  • Dark corners that are difficult to see
  • Areas surrounding major landmarks

Visibility can also become a real problem when Fisch is running an event that changes the lighting. The update launch had extremely dark conditions at points, which made searching for equipment unnecessarily difficult.

If the server conditions are making an already difficult location almost impossible to see, it may be easier to search carefully with supporting equipment or return when visibility improves.

Fishing Radar During Harpoon Searching

A Fishing Radar can be useful while exploring the new Harpoon Gun content.

It does not replace knowing the general location of a Harpoon Gun, but having additional information visible while exploring can make the process less confusing.

The bigger issue during the initial update was visibility.

When environmental or admin events make the map extremely dark, even an obvious piece of equipment can become difficult to spot. If you are standing in the correct general area but cannot find anything, look around carefully before deciding the location information is wrong.

This happened while finding the first Harpoon Gun. Once visibility improved, the equipment became much easier to identify.

New Enchantments

Harpoon Guns are not the only addition included with the update.

There are also new enchantments available.

This gives players another progression system to explore alongside collecting the seven Harpoon Guns.

The transcript does not provide the complete list or effects of every new enchantment, so it would be misleading to invent specific stats or claim that one particular enchantment is the best.

The important part for beginners is knowing that enchantments are another part of this update and should not be overlooked while focusing on Harpoon Guns.

Trident Strike Ritual

Another major piece of new content is the Trident Strike Ritual.

The update describes it as a forgotten ritual that has appeared in the Desolate Deep.

Players need to complete a mysterious challenge connected to the ritual to uncover its hidden reward.

The ritual appears to be associated with the Desolate Deep, and the initial assumption is that it may be somewhere around the area connected with the Trident Rod.

If you have already progressed through older Fisch content and know where the Trident Rod section is located, that is the general part of the Desolate Deep worth investigating when looking into the new ritual.

This is separate from simply purchasing Harpoon Guns, so beginners should not worry if they obtain a Harpoon Gun without immediately interacting with the ritual.

Think of the update as containing multiple pieces of progression rather than one single Harpoon quest.

Exploring the Desolate Deep

Players interested in the Trident Strike Ritual should prepare to return to the Desolate Deep.

This area is already one of the more involved locations in Fisch, and the update gives experienced players another reason to explore it.

The mysterious ritual challenge is tied to this area, with hidden content waiting to be uncovered after completing the required challenge.

If you are brand new to Fisch and have barely explored the map, I would focus on understanding Harpoon Guns first rather than immediately trying to complete every advanced objective added with the update.

Once you are comfortable traveling between islands and have the equipment needed for deeper exploration, you can start working on the Desolate Deep content.

Currency Preparation

Before trying to collect all seven Harpoon Guns, bring a reasonable amount of money.

We already know that the Funko Harpoon Gun alone costs 155,000, and there are multiple Harpoon Guns available.

The Steady Harpoon Gun is cheaper, but purchasing every weapon you encounter can still add up quickly.

This is why I recommend deciding whether you are approaching the update as a collector or simply looking for a good Harpoon Gun to use.

If you want all seven, you are naturally going to need much more currency and should expect to travel across the map.

If you only care about using the new fishing mechanic efficiently, you do not necessarily need to purchase every single gun immediately.
