GPO Update 13 – New Blossom Falls Island, Leopard, Codes

GPO Update 13 is finally here, and this update brings a lot more than I expected. We have a brand-new island, a new multi-stage dungeon, new bosses, fruits, weapons, outfits, titles, and several quality-of-life changes that should make the game more enjoyable.

In this post, we will go over everything added in GPO Update 13, including the new Blossom Falls island, Dragon Emperor Dungeon, Leopard and Biscuit Fruits, new weapons, boss drops, balance changes, and the latest codes. I’ll also cover the changes that were made shortly after the update went live because quite a few bugs were discovered and fixed.

If you are jumping back into GPO for Update 13, there is a lot to check out. So, let’s go through the update and see what has changed.

GPO Update 13 – New Blossom Falls Island, Leopard, Codes

Before getting into the new content, make sure you redeem the available codes.

The main code added with Update 13 is:

  • ILOVEGPO — 5 Free Tailor Vouchers
  • FREE_Drops5 — Free rewards
  • FREE_EXP5 — Free EXP

The ILOVEGPO code is particularly useful if you want to customize your fruits, fighting styles, or weapons. One Tailor Voucher covers the entire customization cost, regardless of how many tabs you customize.

The codes may not stay active forever, so I recommend redeeming them as soon as possible.

New Island: Blossom Falls

The biggest new location added in Update 13 is Blossom Falls.

Blossom Falls is located in the Second Sea, slightly southwest of Whole Cake Island. You will also find the entrance to the new Dragon Emperor Dungeon here, making the island an important location for anyone who wants to experience the new content.

The island also includes several useful features outside of the dungeon.

PvP Pads and Dummies

Blossom Falls has PvP pads and training dummies, so you can test your build and practice your moves before jumping into actual fights.

If you are trying out one of the new fruits or weapons, these dummies should make it easier to see how everything works.

Crew Capture Point

There is also a crew capture point on the island. This gives crews another location to fight over and adds another reason to visit Blossom Falls even after you have completed the dungeon.

New Dragon Emperor Dungeon

The main attraction of Update 13 is the new Dragon Emperor Dungeon.

This is a new multi-stage dungeon located in Blossom Falls. Unlike a simple boss fight, you have to work through multiple stages before reaching the final boss.

The dungeon’s objective UI guides you through each stage, so you should generally know what you need to do next while playing.

One of the useful quality-of-life changes is that all five Geppos regenerate as soon as you touch the ground. This makes movement through the dungeon much more forgiving.

The dungeon also introduces a new reward system. The MVP of the dungeon receives a random Fruit, giving you another reason to perform well during a run.

You can also store Fruits while inside dungeons, which is another useful change for players who frequently run these activities.

Dragon Emperor Boss

At the end of the new dungeon, you will face the Dragon Emperor.

This is the main boss of the update and, as you might expect, he is not an easy fight. Dragon Emperor has a full-form phase, so the fight becomes more difficult as you bring his health down.

The boss has several new drops that make farming the dungeon worthwhile.

Dragon Emperor Drops

The current Dragon Emperor drops include:

  • Dragon Emperor’s Cape — 3%
  • Dragon Emperor’s Outfit — 3%
  • Dragon Emperor’s Gourd — 3%
  • Thunder Club — 0.1%

The Thunder Club is especially valuable because it is a Mythical weapon with an extremely low drop rate.

The update also adds a dedicated boss drop list that shows the possible rewards and their drop rates, making it much easier to see exactly what you are farming for.

New Mini Bosses

Dragon Emperor is not the only boss you will encounter in the update. Several new mini bosses have also been added.

King

King appears inside the Dragon Emperor Dungeon and has a full-form phase.

He can drop two new cosmetic items:

  • King’s Mask — 4%
  • King’s Outfit — 4%

King is also an important part of the dungeon progression, so you will have to deal with him before reaching the final part of the run.

Pedro

Pedro is another new mini boss associated with the update.

His drops include:

  • Pedro’s Outfit — 8%
  • Pedro’s Cape — 10%
  • Moonfang Rapier — 5%

The Moonfang Rapier is an Epic weapon. It is located around Whole Cake Island, and the weapon receives different buffs and visual effects when used by a Mink.

Biscuit Commander

The Biscuit Commander has also been added as a new boss.

His current drops include:

  • Biscuit Commander’s Outfit — 6%
  • Biscuit Commander’s Shoulder Cape — 8%

These give players another set of cosmetics to farm while exploring the new content.

New Fruits

Update 13 adds two new Fruits to GPO.

Leopard Fruit

Leopard is a new Mythical Fruit and one of the biggest additions in the update.

Leopard Ascension has two different modes: Speed Mode and Fighting Mode. You can switch between these modes using Predator Shift.

Rokushiki and Kamishiki damage contributes toward the mode bar, giving you another way to build up the transformation system during combat.

Another useful feature is that Kamishiki can be used in base human form while you have Leopard.

Leopard is also custom tailorable, so you can customize its appearance.

Biscuit Fruit

The second new Fruit is Biscuit, which has Legendary rarity.

Like Leopard, Biscuit is also custom tailorable, allowing you to change its appearance through the Custom Tailor.

New Weapons

Two new weapons have been introduced with Update 13.

Thunder Club

The Thunder Club is a Mythical weapon that drops from the Dragon Emperor.

It currently has an extremely low 0.1% drop rate, so expect to spend quite a bit of time farming the dungeon if you want to obtain it.

The weapon is also custom tailorable.

Players who obtain the Thunder Club can unlock the new title 雷鳴八卦 (Raimei Hakke).

Moonfang Rapier

The Moonfang Rapier is an Epic weapon that drops from Pedro.

The weapon has special interactions with the Mink race, including buffs to its skills and slightly different visual effects.

If you are collecting weapons or building around sword-based combat, this is definitely one of the new items worth farming for.

New Outfits and Cosmetics

A large portion of Update 13 is dedicated to new outfits and cosmetics.

Many of these items are obtained through the new dungeon, giving you plenty of reasons to keep running it even after you have already obtained the main rewards.

Factory Operator Outfits

There are three new Factory Operator outfits.

When you rescue a Factory Operator, there is a 20% chance that the player who escorted them will receive the matching outfit.

The new operator outfits include:

  • Cannon Operator Outfit
  • Heat Laser Operator Outfit
  • Reinforcement Operator Outfit

This gives you another reason to rescue the operators instead of simply rushing through the dungeon.

Blossom Villager Outfits

There are also four new Blossom Villager outfits.

After defeating King, you can free the villagers and receive these outfits as rewards.

Once you have collected all four outfits, you will receive the Blossom Villager Strawhat.

So, if you are a cosmetic collector, you will want to keep track of the villagers during your dungeon runs.

Beast Pirate Outfits

Update 13 also adds:

  • 2 regular Beast Pirate outfits
  • 4 Elite Beast Pirate outfits
  • Beast Pirate Rat Hat
  • Elite Beast Pirate’s Cape

These are mainly additional cosmetic rewards for players who want to complete their collection.

Apple’s Professional Suit

A new quest reward called Apple’s Professional Suit has also been added.

You can obtain this item through a new quest from Mira, who is located near the Mirror World entrance.

If you are collecting every cosmetic in the game, make sure you check Mira’s quest rather than focusing only on the new dungeon.

All Seeing Blossom

Another new cosmetic added in Update 13 is All Seeing Blossom.

This is another collectible item for players who want to expand their cosmetic collection.

New Titles

Two new titles have been added.

Dragon Slayer

You can unlock the Dragon Slayer title by defeating the Dragon Emperor 25 times.

The title also gives you a useful perk: 10% extra damage against the Dragon Emperor.

This makes the title especially useful if you are planning to farm the new dungeon repeatedly.

Raimei Hakke

The 雷鳴八卦 (Raimei Hakke) title is obtained when you get the Thunder Club drop from the Dragon Emperor.

Considering the weapon currently has a 0.1% drop rate, this title is naturally going to be a difficult one to obtain.

Tailor Vouchers and Customization Changes

Update 13 also expands the customization system.

All Legendary rarity and above custom grips are now tailorable.

You can use the code ILOVEGPO to receive 5 free Tailor Vouchers, so make sure you redeem it before spending your own resources.

One Tailor Voucher covers the entire customization cost of a Fruit, Fighting Style, or weapon, regardless of how many customization tabs you use.

There is also a special Tailor Token bundle deal where buying two packs gives you one additional pack for free.

Legendary Tailorable Grips

The newly tailorable Legendary grips include:

  • Bari Sphere Crush
  • Blackhole
  • Blo’s Explosive Egg
  • Bomu Mines
  • Candy Cane Blossom
  • Dirty Fireworks
  • Dismantle
  • Freezing Shatter
  • Frostspire Storm
  • Gift Explosion
  • Haunted Seeking Pumpkin
  • Ice Grip
  • KO
  • Lightning Strike
  • Meteor Strike
  • Oni
  • Ope Scramble
  • Paw Grip
  • Pica Smash
  • Pika Grip
  • Reaver
  • Sentinel
  • String Dissection
  • Suna Grip
  • Tori Grip
  • True Ba’al’s Snake Fire
  • Venom Hydra

Mythical Tailorable Grips

The Mythical options include:

  • Amaterasu
  • Kurohitsugi
  • Planetary Devastation
  • Susanoo

Tori-Tori is also now customizable through the Custom Tailor.

Quality-of-Life Changes

There are quite a few smaller changes in Update 13 that are easy to overlook but should make the game feel better.

Climbing around ledges and navigating corners has been improved, while NPC pathfinding has also received improvements.

Party health and stamina bars have been improved as well.

You can now equip one title for its perks while displaying a different vanity title. This is a great change because you no longer have to choose between using a useful perk and showing the title you actually like.

Damage indicators are also now visible on targets you damage even when they are far away.

Battle Royale Autofill

One of the most useful additions outside of the new dungeon is autofill for Battle Royale and Impel Down queues.

Previously, finding enough players for duos, trios, or squads could be annoying if your friends were not online. With autofill, the game can now match you with other players who are also looking for teammates.

This also works with parties. For example, if you have two players ready for squads but need two more, the game can fill the remaining spots.

The developers noted that this system could have bugs initially because it had not been tested with hundreds of players.

The Battle Royale autofill appeared to be working after the update, but several issues were found and fixed throughout the day.

Update 13 Early Bug Fixes

The developers pushed several fixes shortly after Update 13 launched.

One of the first problems involved players being teleported back early in Battle Royale. There were also issues with the queue zone breaking when too many people joined and left.

Biscuit also had a problem on mobile devices, which was addressed.

These fixes were published through Version 13.02 and later updates.

There were still some Battle Royale issues afterward, including problems with the match roster message and players being teleported back too early. Players who became stuck in a broken Battle Royale lobby were advised to simply rejoin and queue again.

Version 13.04 Changes

More adjustments were made in Version 13.04.

The developers nerfed King’s damage in the new dungeon and also lowered the requirement for Leopard’s Hybrid transformation from 75% to 60%.

Another important change was reducing the amount of health that Kaido and King gain from players.

The developers also added two new codes:

  • FREE_Drops5
  • FREE_EXP5

Kaido Balance Changes

Kaido received several adjustments after players found the boss particularly difficult.

His damage was reduced slightly, and later his maximum health was reduced by 25%.

There is a tradeoff, though. When Kaido kills a player, he now heals back a little more health.

This means the fight should be more manageable overall, but dying is still something you want to avoid.

The developers also worked on FPS problems affecting players inside the new dungeon, particularly on mobile devices.

Mobile Performance Fixes

Mobile players experienced some new FPS issues after the update, especially inside the Dragon Emperor Dungeon.

The developers identified the cause and released fixes for the problem.

They also applied a fix for FPS drops that could occur after defeating King.

This is important because the new dungeon has a lot happening on screen, so performance improvements should make the experience much smoother for players on lower-end devices.

King Damage Adjustments

King was adjusted several times after Update 13 launched.

The developers eventually removed a 15% damage reduction from King, meaning he takes 15% more damage than before.

His damage was then nerfed again to bring him into what the developers considered a better state.

So if you tried fighting King immediately after the update and thought he was unusually difficult, some of those early numbers have already been changed.

Beast Pirate Devil Fruit Users

The scaling of Devil Fruit users among the Beast Pirates was also adjusted.

The developers noted that this change was still being worked on and that not every adjustment had initially been published.

The goal was to reduce some of the scaling that could make these enemies more difficult than intended.

Impel Down Temporarily Disabled and Restored

Impel Down was temporarily disabled while the developers worked on bugs.

Fortunately, it did not stay offline for long.

A fix was pushed, and Impel Down was brought back after the problems were addressed.

The update also added direct shop access to Impel Down, meaning you no longer have to completely clear the activity every time just to reach the shop.

Impel Down Direct Shop

The new direct shop system is available if you meet the requirements.

Direct shop visits use Normal difficulty odds and do not provide dungeon rewards or leaderboard progress.

The shop’s stock is saved across servers, while Premium players receive a refresh every five minutes.

Completing the dungeon still provides a separate fresh shop based on the difficulty you selected.

There are also restrictions. The direct shop is only available if you are solo in the lobby and have previously fully cleared Impel Down.

Impel Down queues now require Level 300.

More Quality-of-Life Improvements

Update 13 also brings several smaller improvements that should make everyday gameplay smoother.

Inventory, HUD, and shop loading speeds have been improved, which should be particularly helpful on mobile devices and for players with huge inventories.

The developers also fixed lag caused by repeated M1 attacks during long sessions and addressed additional server memory leaks.

The texture preloader has also been improved, so you should see fewer cases where VFX textures take time to load.

Combat Changes

Several combat mechanics were adjusted in Update 13.

Moves that are Perfect Blocked can now be stopped completely instead of continuing through their remaining damage and effects.

The affected moves include:

  • Draconic Warcry
  • Slayer Cross Slash
  • Flames of Frost
  • Kessui Barrage
  • Triple Ripple
  • Gravity Field
  • Bat Tornado
  • Triple Talon Kick

This makes Perfect Blocking more impactful against these abilities.

Storm Immunity Changes

Several moves now grant storm immunity to players caught by them, as well as the user for as long as the move holds them.

These include:

  • Thunderous Blitz
  • Leviathan Plunge
  • Dragon Skull Crusher
  • Perfume Femur
  • Snow Blizzard
  • Mochi Buzzcut
  • Supreme Mochi Buzzcut
  • Kamikaze Hollow
  • Golden Age
  • Vampire Bite

Kamikaze Hollow is slightly different because only the victim receives storm immunity, not the user.

Fruit Balance Changes

Several Fruits received balance adjustments in Update 13.

Buddha

Buddha’s Hybrid Form M1 hitbox has been reduced to only slightly larger than Iron Fist’s M1 hitbox.

The Hybrid Form requirement has also increased from 20% to 35% mode bar.

Dragon

Dragon Full Form now loses movement speed as its HP decreases, similar to other flying forms.

Its mode bar also drains 20% faster, reducing the duration from roughly 90 seconds to around 75 seconds.

Draconic Tempest Spiral’s speed boost has been reduced by 15%, while its radius has been reduced by 10%.

Draconic Cataclysm received a positive adjustment, as its damage reduction now lasts through the full endlag.

Goru

Players caught in Golden Age now take 95% reduced damage from outside sources, similar to how Yami R works.

Gura

Shock Punch’s base cooldown has been increased from 9 to 12 seconds.

Horo

Negative Hollow now disappears after 5 seconds instead of 10.

Ope

Shambles can now be used while drowning if the target is a Tact Rock.

This gives Ope players a way to escape the water without restoring underwater kill pressure.

Spring

Spring Facebreaker no longer grabs targets who successfully block the hit.

Fighting Style Changes

Dragon Claw

Dragon Claw Slashes damage has been reduced by 30%.

Dragon Skull Crusher damage has been reduced by 25%.

Iron Fist

Galaxy Impact now requires 200 stat points instead of 175.

However, the move now grants 15 seconds of storm immunity to players hit by it, increased from 8 seconds.

Fist of Love knockback has also been reduced by 30%.

Sword Style Changes

One Sword Style

Rapid Slashes received a 37.5% reduction in damage scaling, while its cooldown increased from 10 to 13 seconds.

Raging Serpent is now cheaper to use, with the first press costing 30 stamina instead of 40. Its hold drain has also been cut in half.

Shishi Sonson’s cooldown increased from 10 to 14 seconds.

Dragon Blaze’s cooldown increased from 60 to 75 seconds.

Two Sword Style

72 Caliber Phoenix damage scaling has been reduced by 20%, but its endlag has also been reduced by 0.2 seconds.

Raging Whirl’s cooldown has been reduced from 15 to 13 seconds.

It now costs a fixed 40 stamina instead of draining a percentage of stamina.

Its damage scaling has increased by 25%, and the move now block breaks from halfway through the spin instead of only at the end.

Nitoryu Strike’s cooldown has been reduced from 25 to 20 seconds, while its damage scaling has increased by 15%.

Weapon Changes

Moria’s Scissors received a small adjustment to Scissor Impale, with its endlag increased by 0.1 seconds.

This prevents the first M1 extending from the move from connecting.

Sunken Anchor’s M1 hitbox has also been reduced to match the Kraken Blade’s hitbox.

Other Bug Fixes

A large number of additional bugs were fixed with Update 13.

These include problems involving:

  • Blood Queen’s Peli requirement
  • Buddha Hybrid Form after Dark Root
  • Climbing on non-solid surfaces
  • Diving Tides attack angles
  • Dragon Hybrid animations
  • Draconic Tail Slam and Thunderfall interactions
  • M1 timing after Diving Tides
  • Combat tags
  • Radiant Admiral Raid ping spikes
  • Player stats and team bars
  • Long-distance attacks
  • NPC pathfinding
  • VFX
  • Boss damage contribution lists
  • Cyborg upgrade data
  • Crew Shop purchases
  • Crew Shop rerolls
  • Crew Tokens
  • Crew alliances
  • Capturable island ownership
  • Tailored skill colors
  • Fishing and Sea Beast limits
  • Skills causing players to fall into the void

The developers also fixed several issues specifically affecting PikaV2 Blitzstrike.

Battle Royale and Arena Fixes

The developers continued working on Battle Royale and Arena problems after the update launched.

Private Battle Royale and Arena matches were also being fixed as part of the post-update work.

The Battle Royale system had several early issues with players being returned to the lobby before the match was finished, but multiple fixes were released throughout the day.

If you get stuck in a broken Battle Royale lobby, the recommended solution is to rejoin the game and queue again.

What Is Worth Farming in Update 13?

If you ask me, the biggest reasons to play Update 13 are the new dungeon and its rewards.

The Dragon Emperor’s Cape, Outfit, Gourd, and especially the Thunder Club give you several rare items to chase. The Moonfang Rapier is also worth checking out if you want a new weapon.

For Fruit collectors, Leopard and Biscuit are the big additions, while the MVP reward system gives you another reason to perform well during dungeon runs.

The cosmetic collection is also surprisingly large, with the new King, Pedro, Biscuit Commander, Beast Pirate, Factory Operator, and Blossom Villager items.

GPO Update 13 turned out to be a much bigger update than a simple Whole Cake Island expansion. The developers ended up putting much more focus on the Dragon Emperor Dungeon and Blossom Falls, giving us a completely new area and a multi-stage activity with several bosses and rewards.

The biggest additions include Blossom Falls, Dragon Emperor, King, Pedro, Biscuit Commander, Leopard, Biscuit, Thunder Club, Moonfang Rapier, and a large collection of new outfits and cosmetics. We also received new titles, Tailor Voucher changes, Battle Royale autofill, Impel Down improvements, and plenty of performance fixes.

There were definitely some problems when Update 13 first launched, especially with Battle Royale queues and mobile performance, but the developers were actively fixing these issues throughout the day. Several balance changes were also made to King and Kaido after players got a chance to test the new dungeon.

If you are coming back to GPO after taking a break, Update 13 is definitely worth checking out. Redeem ILOVEGPO, FREE_Drops5, and FREE_EXP5, head over to Blossom Falls, and start working your way through the Dragon Emperor Dungeon. Just be prepared to run it quite a few times if you are chasing that 0.1% Thunder Club drop.
