Haze Seas Sword Tier List – Best Swords Ranked, Unlock

Swords are one of the most important weapon types in Haze Seas. While Devil Fruits and Fighting Styles are incredibly powerful, a good sword can carry you through boss fights, quests, PvP battles, and even the late game. From basic katanas that help you through your first few islands to legendary weapons wielded by some of the strongest characters in One Piece, there’s a huge variety of swords to collect.

Not every weapon is worth investing your time into, though. Some are excellent progression weapons that you’ll quickly replace, while others remain useful even after reaching Sea 3. On top of that, several V2 upgrades completely change how certain swords perform, making them much stronger than their original versions.

This guide ranks every sword currently available in Haze Seas, explains what makes each one good (or not so good), and shows you exactly how to obtain them.

Sea 1 Swords

Sea 1 introduces most of your early-game weapons. Although many of them eventually become obsolete, several are required for later upgrades, so it’s worth collecting them rather than selling them.

Katana

Rarity: Common

How to Obtain

Purchase it on Starter Island.

Katana is the very first sword most players use. While its damage is fairly basic, the updated visual effects in Haze Seas make it feel much smoother than the original version from Haze Piece. It’s perfectly fine for completing early quests, but you’ll want to replace it fairly quickly.

Worth farming?

No. Simply use it until something stronger becomes available.

Shark Blade

Rarity: Common

How to Obtain

  • 10% drop chance from the Shark Park Boss.

Shark Blade is one of the first boss-drop swords you’ll encounter, and it’s a noticeable upgrade over Katana. The animations look much cleaner, and it feels much more satisfying during combat. If you’re still in the early stages of Sea 1, this is absolutely worth farming before moving on.

Worth farming?

Yes. Great early-game weapon.

Soul Cane

Rarity: Uncommon

How to Obtain

Purchase it for 100,000 Beli from the hidden NPC inside Impel Jail Island.

Soul Cane focuses more on stylish attacks than raw damage. While it isn’t particularly powerful compared to later swords, it offers decent range and can comfortably clear normal enemies.

Worth farming?

Only if you enjoy collecting weapons.

Pipe

Rarity: Uncommon

How to Obtain

Purchase for 250,000 Beli at Marine Base Island.

Pipe has surprisingly good attack range. Several of its abilities can hit enemies farther away than you might expect, making it useful when dealing with groups of NPCs.

It isn’t flashy, but it’s reliable.

Worth farming?

Yes, especially if you haven’t unlocked stronger boss drops yet.

Mace

Rarity: Uncommon

How to Obtain

Guaranteed drop from the Mace Boss.

Mace hits hard, but it has one major weakness.

Its second skill leaves your character standing still long enough for bosses and NPCs to punish you, making it awkward during tougher fights. While it can still clear quests, there are simply better options available.

Worth farming?

Not really. It’s quickly replaced.

Fishman Trident

Rarity: Uncommon

How to Obtain

Trade Neptune’s Fork with the Fork Merchant on Fishman Island.

Fishman Trident has some nice-looking animations, but its biggest issue is knockback.

While knocking enemies away might sound useful, it actually slows down farming because you constantly need to chase enemies after every combo.

Worth farming?

Mostly for collection purposes.

Operation Blade

Rarity: Uncommon

How to Obtain

Purchase it for 250,000 Beli at Half Hot Island.

The NPC selling it is hidden near the top of the mountain.

Operation Blade is one of the biggest surprises among the early-game swords. It has smooth animations, respectable damage, and a satisfying moveset that makes leveling much easier.

If you don’t want to rely entirely on boss drops, this is an excellent purchase.

Worth farming?

Definitely.

Sea Beast Hammer

Rarity: Rare

How to Obtain

  • 50% drop chance from Sea Beasts.

Sea Beasts can be summoned by giving Cola to the Wizard located on Rocky Islands.

Sea Beast Hammer is your first taste of the heavier weapons available later in the game. It deals respectable damage, although its V2 version is a significant improvement.

Worth farming?

Yes, mainly because you’ll eventually want V2.

Shusui

Rarity: Rare

How to Obtain

5% drop chance from Ryummy at Thriller Boat.

Besides being a strong sword on its own, Shusui is required to unlock Three Sword Style later.

That alone makes it one of the most important swords in Sea 1.

Worth farming?

Absolutely.

Raiu

Rarity: Rare

How to Obtain

Defeat Shiryu to obtain a Scroll.

Take the Scroll to the hidden NPC behind Skull Island.

Raiu has one of the better movesets among the rare weapons. It feels smooth, deals solid damage, and many players consider it one of the strongest swords before reaching the legendary category.

Worth farming?

Yes.

Bisento

Rarity: Rare

How to Obtain

Purchase for 500,000 Beli at Marine HQ.

Bisento offers long-range sweeping attacks that work well against groups of enemies. Although it eventually gets overshadowed by its upgraded version, it’s still a respectable weapon during progression.

Worth farming?

Yes.

Golden Staff

Rarity: Rare

How to Obtain

1% drop chance from Thunder God.

Golden Staff introduces lightning-themed attacks that look fantastic, even before its V2 upgrade.

While its damage isn’t among the best at this stage, players planning to unlock Golden Staff V2 should start mastering it early.

Worth farming?

Definitely.

2 Sword Style

Rarity: Rare

V1

Purchase from Doc White for 100,000 Beli.

V2

Requirements:

  • Book (50% drop from Dual Swordsman)
  • 20,000 Beli

The upgraded version feels much smoother than V1, with noticeably improved abilities and combos.

If you’re interested in eventually unlocking Three Sword Style, this is an important stepping stone.

Worth farming?

Yes.

Sea 2 Swords

By the time you reach Sea 2, you’ll notice a big jump in weapon quality. Most swords here either become long-term options or are needed to unlock even stronger weapons later in the game. Boss farming also becomes much more important, so expect to spend some time collecting rare drops.

Zenith

Rarity: Legendary

How to Obtain

  • Guaranteed drop from the Zenith Boss.
  • The boss appears during Storm events at Shadow Island.

Zenith is one of the first legendary swords you’ll come across, and it definitely feels like one. Its attacks have excellent range, smooth animations, and impressive visual effects that make every skill feel impactful. It’s also one of the required swords for unlocking Three Sword Style, so even if you plan to replace it later, you’ll still want to pick it up.

Best For

  • PvE farming
  • Boss fights
  • Working toward 3 Sword Style

Worth Farming?

Absolutely. Since it’s a guaranteed drop, it’s one of the easiest legendary weapons to secure.

Enma

Rarity: Rare

How to Obtain

  • 10% drop chance from the Enma Boss.

Enma is another weapon that’s more valuable than it first appears. Besides looking great and dealing respectable damage, it’s one of the three swords required to unlock 3 Sword Style. The showcase also highlighted its clean animations, making it one of the better progression swords in Sea 2.

Best For

  • General progression
  • Completing the 3SS requirements

Worth Farming?

Yes. Even if you don’t use it much, you’ll eventually need it.

3 Sword Style (3SS)

Rarity: Legendary

How to Obtain

You’ll need all three legendary swords first:

  • Zenith
  • Enma
  • Shusui

In addition, each sword must have:

  • 300 Mastery

After meeting the requirements, interact with the Rock Shrine in the Land of Gods.

Unlocking 3 Sword Style is one of the biggest milestones in Haze Seas. Compared to earlier weapons, its abilities hit much harder, the animations are far more polished, and the second skill in particular stands out during combat. It’s the first sword that truly feels like an endgame weapon rather than a simple progression upgrade.

Best For

  • PvE
  • PvP
  • Boss farming
  • Endgame progression

Worth Farming?

Without question. This should be one of your main goals once you reach Sea 2.

Sea Beast Hammer V2

Rarity: Legendary

How to Obtain

  • 1% drop chance from Sea Beasts in Sea 2 and Sea 3.

The original Sea Beast Hammer was decent, but V2 takes everything up a level. The upgraded moves feel much smoother, hit harder, and have significantly better visual effects. If you already enjoyed using the original version, you’ll immediately notice the improvement.

Best For

  • PvE
  • Crowd clearing

Worth Farming?

Yes, especially if you’ve already obtained the original version.

Mace V2

Rarity: Legendary

How to Obtain

  • 1% drop chance from the Mace V2 Boss on Dragon Island.

The original Mace struggled because its second skill left you open to attacks. Thankfully, Mace V2 fixes that issue, making the weapon much smoother and far more reliable during combat. It’s still not one of the absolute best swords in the game, but it’s a noticeable upgrade.

Best For

  • Mid-game boss farming
  • General combat

Yes, especially if you already own Mace.

Best For

  • PvP
  • Boss fights
  • Endgame builds

Worth Farming?

Absolutely. It’s one of the strongest upgrades in the game.

Sea 3 Swords

Sea 3 introduces the rarest and most powerful swords currently available. Most of these require difficult bosses, expensive crafting recipes, or long-term grinding, but they’re also the weapons you’ll likely use throughout the endgame.

Golden Staff V2

Rarity: Legendary

How to Obtain

Craft it at Doran the Forge.

Requirements:

  • 300 Mastery on Golden Staff V1
  • 1 Raijin Core
