How Many Dudes Consumables and Stats Guide

Consumables are powerful one-time-use items that let you directly influence the outcome of a run. Unlike Trinkets and Relics, which provide permanent passive bonuses, Consumables are activated manually whenever you decide the moment is right.

Some Consumables deal massive damage to enemies, others rescue your team from the brink of defeat, while a few help outside of combat by reviving Dudes or refreshing shop inventories. Because their supply is limited, knowing when to use them is often just as important as knowing what they do.

Below is a complete explanation of every Consumable currently available in How Many Dudes, along with practical tips for getting the most value from each one.

Bottled Lightning

Bottled Lightning is an offensive Consumable that combines burst damage with crowd control.

When activated, it strikes random enemies with lightning, dealing a total of 1,000 damage that is evenly divided among every enemy hit. Every affected enemy is also Stunned for 1 second, giving your Dudes a brief opportunity to attack without taking damage in return.

One important thing to remember is that the damage increases every round, meaning Bottled Lightning becomes stronger as your run progresses. Early in a run, it can quickly clear weaker enemies, but later on it becomes a valuable emergency tool against much tougher encounters.

Because the damage is split between enemies, it performs best when only a handful of dangerous enemies remain. Using it against a massive crowd spreads the damage too thin, making the overall impact much smaller.

Burner Phone

Burner Phone is one of the strongest positioning tools in the game.

Instead of dealing damage, it instantly teleports a group of your Dudes to any location you choose. After arriving, every teleported Dude receives Temporary Health equal to 25% of their maximum HP, and that shield remains until it has been completely depleted.

This Consumable can completely change the flow of a battle. If your backline is being overwhelmed, Burner Phone allows you to pull important Dudes to safety. If an isolated boss needs to be surrounded quickly, you can immediately reposition your strongest fighters directly beside it.

The Temporary Health is an added bonus that helps protect your team immediately after teleporting, preventing them from taking heavy damage the moment they arrive.

From experience, Burner Phone often saves runs that would otherwise be lost simply because it fixes terrible positioning in an instant.

Dude Juice

Dude Juice is the primary resurrection Consumable in How Many Dudes.

Its effect changes depending on where you use it.

If used in the Ranch, it revives 10 Unconscious Dudes, allowing you to recover your roster between battles.

If activated during combat, it revives 5 Unconscious Dudes, and every revived Dude returns with full health, letting them immediately rejoin the fight.

Because reviving Dudes during battle can completely turn the tide, it’s usually worth waiting until several important teammates have fallen before activating it. Using Dude Juice too early often wastes part of its potential.

Outside of battle, it’s equally valuable for rebuilding your team before entering another difficult encounter.

Health Potion

Health Potion is a straightforward but incredibly reliable healing Consumable.

When used, it heals half of your roster for 50% of their maximum HP. The game automatically prioritizes the most injured Dudes first, ensuring the healing goes where it’s needed most.

Any healing that exceeds a Dude’s maximum health isn’t wasted. Instead, the extra amount is converted into Temporary Health, giving that Dude an additional protective shield.

This makes Health Potion useful in almost every situation. It can rescue a heavily damaged team during difficult battles, or it can be used proactively before a dangerous enemy unleashes a powerful attack.

Because overhealing becomes Temporary Health, you don’t always need to wait until everyone is nearly dead before using it.

Meteor

Meteor is a targeted area-of-effect attack that offers both damage and battlefield control.

After selecting a location, a massive meteor crashes down and deals 100 damage to every enemy caught inside the impact area. Just like Bottled Lightning, the damage increases every round, making Meteor significantly stronger later in a run.

Any of your own Dudes caught inside the impact aren’t damaged, but they are thrown away by the explosion.

That means placement is extremely important. While you don’t have to worry about friendly fire, accidentally launching your frontline away from the battle can completely disrupt your formation.

Meteor is especially effective against tightly packed enemy groups, bosses surrounded by smaller enemies, or situations where you want to interrupt a dangerous cluster without harming your own team.

Pocket Dice

Pocket Dice doesn’t directly affect combat, but it can dramatically improve the quality of your run.

Using Pocket Dice refreshes several important systems:

  • Rerolls the Relics found inside Stashes.
  • Rerolls available Trinkets.
  • Refreshes Flyers.
  • Restocks the inventory of the Merchant Dude.

Since many successful runs depend on finding the right Relics or Trinkets, Pocket Dice gives you another chance when the available rewards aren’t particularly useful.

Rather than accepting poor upgrade options, you can completely refresh the selection and potentially discover much stronger combinations.

Personally, I like saving Pocket Dice until I come across a shop or stash that offers nothing useful. There’s little reason to spend it on an already good selection, but rerolling weak rewards can completely change the direction of a run.

Strange Spores

Strange Spores is one of the most unique defensive Consumables in the game.

After activation, all of your Dudes attune their spirits for the next 3 seconds.

During this time, every second the HP of all your Dudes is Equalized.

Instead of allowing one Dude to remain nearly dead while another stays at full health, the game continuously redistributes everyone’s health so the entire team shares it more evenly.

This effect can instantly save critically injured Dudes by borrowing health from healthier teammates. It also prevents a single character from being focused down while the rest of the team remains untouched.

Because the Equalization happens repeatedly over the full three-second duration, Strange Spores works best when several Dudes are taking heavy damage at the same time rather than when only one teammate is injured.

Timing is extremely important. Activating it just before a major burst of enemy damage can keep your entire team alive much longer than simply using a normal healing item.

How Many Dudes Stats Guide

Stats are the foundation of every Dude in How Many Dudes. Every attack, heal, dodge, critical hit, and defensive ability is determined by your current stats. While each Dude begins with their own base values, those numbers constantly change throughout a run as you collect Relics, equip Trinkets, unlock synergies, and activate various effects.

Understanding what each stat actually does is just as important as collecting upgrades. Two Trinkets might both increase your damage, but one may improve Attack Power, while another boosts Attack Speed. Although both increase your damage output, they affect your Dude in completely different ways.

Below is a complete explanation of every stat currently available in the game, along with practical tips on why each one matters.

Attack Power

Attack Power determines how much damage every normal attack deals.

Whenever your Dude successfully lands an attack, Attack Power is the base value used to calculate the damage before any Critical Hits, Toughness reductions, or other modifiers are applied.

Increasing Attack Power is the most direct way to make every individual hit stronger. Slow attackers benefit from it just as much as fast attackers because every swing becomes more powerful.

Many Relics and Trinkets increase Attack Power, making it one of the most common offensive stats you’ll encounter during a run.

Attack Speed

Attack Speed controls how many attacks your Dude performs every second.

Instead of increasing the strength of individual hits, this stat increases how frequently those hits happen.

A Dude with high Attack Speed can trigger Critical Hits, Lifesteal, Cleave effects, and various Trinket abilities much more often than a slower attacker.

Attack Speed is especially valuable on Dudes whose abilities activate whenever they attack because more attacks mean more opportunities for those effects to trigger.

Block Chance

Block Chance gives your Dude the opportunity to completely prevent incoming Direct Damage.

Whenever a Block activates, the incoming attack deals no damage at all.

It’s important to remember that Block Chance is a Diminishing Stat. This means every additional percentage becomes slightly less effective than the previous one, preventing players from reaching complete immunity too easily.

Even though stacking Block becomes less efficient over time, it’s still an excellent defensive stat for durable frontline Dudes.

Cleave

Cleave allows your attacks to strike additional nearby enemies.

Whenever you attack your primary target, Cleave gives you a chance to also hit another enemy standing close to them.

Every 100% Cleave guarantees one additional hit.

For example:

  • 100% Cleave guarantees one extra target.
  • 200% Cleave guarantees two extra targets.
  • Higher values continue adding additional guaranteed hits.

Cleave is incredibly useful during enemy waves because a single attack can damage multiple opponents at once, greatly improving your overall damage output.

Cleave Damage Down

Cleave Damage Down reduces the amount of damage dealt by Cleave attacks.

Your primary target still receives normal damage, but any additional enemies struck through Cleave take reduced damage depending on this stat.

Like several defensive stats, Cleave Damage Down is also a Diminishing Stat, meaning stacking more of it provides gradually smaller improvements.

This stat mainly affects how effective area damage remains during larger battles.

Crit Chance

Crit Chance determines how often your attacks become Critical Hits.

Whenever a Critical Hit occurs, your attack deals bonus damage based on your Crit Damage stat.

Like Block Chance, Crit Chance is a Diminishing Stat, meaning every additional increase provides slightly less value than the previous one.

Despite those diminishing returns, Crit Chance remains one of the strongest offensive stats because many Trinkets and abilities also activate specifically when Critical Hits occur.

Crit Damage

Crit Damage increases the amount of extra damage dealt whenever you land a Critical Hit.

Increasing Crit Damage does nothing unless your attacks are already capable of landing Critical Hits, making it a stat that works best alongside a healthy amount of Crit Chance.

Together, Crit Chance and Crit Damage create one of the strongest offensive combinations in the game.

Crit Exposure

Crit Exposure is a defensive weakness rather than an offensive bonus.

Instead of increasing your own Critical Hit rate, it increases the chance that enemies will land Critical Hits against you.

The higher your Crit Exposure becomes, the more often enemies will critically strike your Dude.

Whenever possible, it’s generally better to avoid accumulating this stat because it dramatically increases incoming burst damage.

Crit Vulnerability

Crit Vulnerability affects the damage of incoming Critical Hits.

It does not make Critical Hits happen more often. Instead, whenever an enemy successfully lands a Critical Hit, Crit Vulnerability causes that hit to deal even more damage.

A Dude with high Crit Vulnerability can lose enormous amounts of health from a single lucky enemy Critical Hit.

Deflection

Deflection provides another way to avoid taking damage.

Whenever Deflection activates, your Dude completely avoids the incoming attack.

However, instead of simply disappearing, 50% of the prevented damage is redirected as Direct Damage to a healthy ally with high current HP.

The redirected ally still has opportunities to Block or Evade that redirected damage.

Because of this unique mechanic, Deflection works best on teams with multiple durable Dudes capable of sharing incoming damage.

Deflection is also a Diminishing Stat, so extremely high values become progressively less efficient.

DPS

DPS stands for Damage Per Second.

Rather than being its own independent stat, DPS is calculated by combining:

  • Attack Power
  • Attack Speed

A Dude with high Attack Power but slow attacks may have the same DPS as someone with weaker attacks but much faster Attack Speed.

Many abilities, Trinkets, and special attacks use DPS as the basis for calculating their own damage.

Whenever you want a quick estimate of a Dude’s offensive strength, DPS is usually the first number worth checking.

Evasion

Evasion gives your Dude a chance to completely dodge incoming damage.

When an attack is successfully evaded, it deals absolutely no damage.

Unlike Block, Evasion doesn’t interact with redirected damage mechanics—it simply avoids the hit entirely.

Because avoiding damage altogether is extremely powerful, Evasion is also classified as a Diminishing Stat, meaning large investments provide gradually smaller improvements.

Healing Received

Healing Received increases the amount of health restored whenever your Dude is healed.

Every healing source benefits from this bonus, including:

  • Healers
  • Consumables
  • Lifesteal
  • Regeneration
  • Various Trinket effects

Higher Healing Received makes every point of healing significantly more valuable throughout long battles.

Healing Resistance

Healing Resistance does exactly the opposite of Healing Received.

Instead of improving healing, it reduces the amount of health your Dude receives whenever they are healed.

Many enemy traits and debuffs apply Healing Resistance to make keeping your team alive much more difficult.

If Healing Resistance becomes too high, even powerful healing abilities may struggle to restore enough health.

Lifesteal

Lifesteal allows your Dude to heal while attacking.

Whenever your Dude deals Direct Damage, Lifesteal provides a chance to immediately recover health equal to the damage dealt.

Unlike standard healing, Lifesteal rewards staying aggressive.

Fast attackers usually gain the greatest benefit because they deal Direct Damage more frequently, creating more opportunities for healing.

Max HP

Max HP determines how much total damage your Dude can survive before being defeated.

Increasing Max HP doesn’t reduce incoming damage—it simply gives your Dude a much larger health pool.

Many defensive Trinkets scale directly from Max HP, making it one of the most valuable stats for tanks and frontline fighters.

Miss Chance

Miss Chance represents the likelihood that your own attacks fail to connect with their target.

Whenever an attack misses, it deals no damage.

Like several other percentage-based mechanics, Miss Chance is a Diminishing Stat, meaning additional increases become gradually less impactful.

Many enemies apply temporary Miss Chance debuffs to reduce your team’s overall damage output.

Regeneration

Regeneration provides passive healing throughout battle.

Every second, your Dude automatically restores health equal to a percentage of their Max HP.

Unlike Lifesteal, Regeneration works continuously without requiring attacks.

This makes it especially valuable during long encounters where even small amounts of healing accumulate into significant survivability.

Run Speed

Run Speed determines how quickly your Dude moves around the battlefield.

Movement may seem less important than raw damage, but many abilities, Trinkets, and enemy mechanics depend heavily on positioning.

Higher Run Speed allows your Dude to:

  • Reach enemies faster.
  • Chase fleeing targets.
  • Return to formation after being thrown.
  • Trigger movement-based Trinkets more frequently.

Several Trinkets even convert movement distance directly into additional damage, making Run Speed surprisingly valuable.

Taunt Resistance

Taunt Resistance determines how likely your Dude is to ignore Taunt effects.

Normally, Taunted enemies are forced to attack the character who applied the Taunt.

Higher Taunt Resistance increases the chance of completely ignoring that forced targeting.

Enemy traits such as Don’t Care make heavy use of this stat, allowing dangerous enemies to bypass your tanks and attack more vulnerable teammates instead.

Toughness

Toughness reduces all incoming damage regardless of its source.

Unlike Max HP, which simply increases survivability through a larger health pool, Toughness actually lowers the amount of damage every attack deals.

Because reducing every hit is extremely powerful, Toughness is another Diminishing Stat.

Even with diminishing returns, Toughness remains one of the strongest defensive stats in the game because it improves survivability against nearly every threat you’ll encounter.

Vulnerability

Vulnerability increases all incoming damage.

Whenever your Dude has Vulnerability, every attack from every enemy becomes stronger.

Unlike Crit Vulnerability, this isn’t limited to Critical Hits—it affects all sources of damage.

Many enemy abilities and traits apply stacking Vulnerability throughout battle, making fights progressively more dangerous if those enemies aren’t eliminated quickly.

Keeping Vulnerability low is one of the easiest ways to improve your team’s overall survivability.

Understanding stats is the key to building stronger teams in How Many Dudes. Offensive stats like Attack Power, Attack Speed, Crit Chance, and Crit Damage determine how quickly you can eliminate enemies, while defensive stats such as Max HP, Toughness, Block Chance, Evasion, and Deflection decide how long your Dudes can survive under pressure. Utility stats including Run Speed, Healing Received, Lifesteal, and Regeneration often have a much bigger impact than they first appear because they influence positioning, sustain, and overall consistency throughout a run.

From experience, the strongest builds usually don’t focus on a single stat. A balanced combination of damage, survivability, and sustain almost always performs better than stacking one attribute to extreme levels. It’s also worth remembering that several important stats—such as Block Chance, Crit Chance, Evasion, and Toughness—have diminishing returns, so spreading your upgrades across multiple complementary stats is usually more effective than investing everything into just one. Once you understand how these stats work together, choosing Relics, Trinkets, and team synergies becomes much easier, and you’ll be able to build rosters that can handle even the toughest battles.
