Unlocking Race V2 is one of the biggest upgrades you can get in Haze Seas. While your race already gives you useful passive abilities from the start, awakening it to V2 significantly improves those bonuses and, in some cases, unlocks completely new abilities that can change how you play.
The process is thankfully much easier than many players expect. Once you know where to go and what objectives to complete, you can awaken every race without too much trouble. Better yet, the quest can be repeated, so you are free to unlock V2 for any race you decide to use later.
This guide covers every Race V2 requirement, the full awakening quest, and every V2 bonus currently available in Haze Seas.
How To Awaken all Races to V2 in Haze Seas – Requirements
Before you can even begin the awakening quest, there is one important requirement.
- Reach Level 2200
If you are below Level 2200, the NPC will not let you start the Race V2 quest. Your first goal should always be reaching the level requirement before worrying about any of the materials or objectives.
Race V2 Awakening Quest
Once you reach Level 2200, you’ll receive a four-part quest. Every player must complete the exact same objectives regardless of which race they are using.
Step 1 – Defeat a Sea Beast
Your first objective is defeating a Sea Beast.
This is usually the quickest part of the quest if you already spend time farming on the ocean. If you’re playing with friends, defeating Sea Beasts becomes much faster since everyone contributes damage.
Step 2 – Collect 50 Chests
The second objective requires opening 50 treasure chests.
Fortunately, any chest counts toward the quest, so simply travel around islands opening every chest you find.
If you want to finish this objective quickly:
- Visit islands with multiple chest spawns.
- Swap between servers after collecting available chests.
- Continue farming while completing other activities instead of focusing only on chest hunting.
This objective is more time-consuming than difficult.
Step 3 – Defeat Zenith Boss
The third quest asks you to defeat the new Zenith Boss.
Besides progressing your Race V2 quest, this boss is worth farming because it also has valuable drops, including one of the newer swords available in the game.
If you’re undergeared, joining a group makes this fight significantly easier.
Step 4 – Pay the Awakening Cost
After completing every objective, you’ll need to pay:
- 1,000,000 Beli
- 100 Gems
Once you pay the required cost, your current race will awaken into its V2 version.
If you reroll into another race later, simply repeat the same quest to unlock that race’s V2 as well.
Human V1
Human is one of the simplest races in Haze Seas but remains a solid option for players who enjoy mobility and survivability.
Human V1 Bonuses
- 25% increased movement speed
- 70% increased HP
The extra health makes early combat much more forgiving, while the movement speed helps with traveling between enemies and dodging attacks.
Human V2
After awakening Human to V2, both of its original bonuses become even stronger.
Human V2 Bonuses
- 50% increased movement speed
- 70% increased HP
- +1 Observation Dodge
The biggest addition is the extra Observation Dodge. Having one additional dodge gives you another opportunity to avoid powerful attacks, making Human V2 excellent for boss fights, PvP, and difficult encounters.
Beastborn V1
Beastborn is designed for players who like fast movement while maintaining good stamina during long fights.
Beastborn V1 Bonuses
- 20% increased movement speed
- 5% increased stamina
It’s a straightforward race that offers reliable mobility without adding complicated mechanics.
Beastborn V2
The V2 version greatly increases both of Beastborn’s strengths.
Beastborn V2 Bonuses
- 50% increased movement speed
- 10% increased stamina
The jump from 20% to 50% movement speed is very noticeable during exploration and combat. Combined with the larger stamina pool, Beastborn V2 feels much smoother when constantly dashing, running, and using movement abilities.
Skyborn V1
Skyborn focuses almost entirely on aerial movement.
Skyborn V1 Bonuses
- 50% stronger first Skywalk
Your first Skywalk launches you significantly higher, making exploration easier and helping you reach elevated locations.
Skyborn V2
Skyborn receives one of the biggest upgrades among all races.
Skyborn V2 Bonuses
- Glide ability
- Hold Space to descend twice as slowly
- First Skywalk becomes twice as powerful
The glide ability changes how the race feels completely. Instead of dropping immediately after jumping, you can float through the air and cover much greater distances.
The improved Skywalk also lets you gain even more height before gliding, making Skyborn one of the best races for aerial movement and map traversal.
Fishborn V1
Fishborn is built around water mobility.
Fishborn V1 Bonuses
- 50% increased swimming speed
While this may not seem impressive at first, it becomes useful when traveling across the ocean or chasing Sea Beasts.
Fishborn V2
Fishborn becomes dramatically stronger after awakening.
Fishborn V2 Bonuses
- 2x swimming speed
- 2x movement speed for 4 seconds after leaving water
- Water immunity for Devil Fruit users
The water immunity is easily the standout feature.
Normally, Devil Fruit users struggle in water, but Fishborn V2 removes one of the biggest disadvantages of using a fruit.
The temporary speed boost after exiting water also makes ocean exploration much faster, allowing you to move between islands without constantly feeling slowed down.
If you spend lots of time sailing or farming Sea Beasts, Fishborn V2 is incredibly valuable.
Demon V1
Demon is centered around sustaining yourself during combat.
Demon V1 Bonuses
- 2.5% Life Steal
Every attack heals a small portion of your health, giving you additional survivability during extended fights.
Demon V2
Demon receives one of the strongest offensive upgrades available.
Demon V2 Bonuses
- 3% Life Steal
- 10% chance to create a Hellfire Circle when dashing
Whenever the Hellfire Circle activates, it deals damage to nearby enemies, allowing your movement itself to become an offensive tool.
The increased Life Steal also means you’ll recover slightly more health while constantly attacking, making Demon V2 especially effective during boss fights where you’re continuously dealing damage.
Many players consider this one of the strongest Race V2 awakenings because it improves both offense and survivability at the same time.
Dragonborn V1
Dragonborn is already an excellent race before awakening.
Dragonborn V1 Bonuses
- 10% increased HP
- 10% Health Regeneration
- 25% stronger first Skywalk
The combination of bonus health and passive regeneration makes Dragonborn very comfortable for general gameplay.
Dragonborn V2
Dragonborn’s awakening focuses more on mobility than raw survivability.
Dragonborn V2 Bonuses
- 10% increased HP
- Glide ability
- Hold Space to descend twice as slowly
The glide mechanic works similarly to Skyborn’s version, allowing you to remain airborne longer and travel more efficiently.
Interestingly, many experienced players still prefer Dragonborn V1 because they value its original combination of regeneration and mobility. Whether V1 or V2 feels better often comes down to personal preference and your preferred playstyle.
D Clan V1
D Clan is already one of the most unique races thanks to its exclusive Conqueror’s ability.
D Clan V1 Bonuses
- 5% increased HP
- 5% increased stamina
- Conqueror’s ability
- Conqueror’s costs 250 stamina
Although the stamina cost is fairly high, Conqueror’s remains a powerful ability during combat.
D Clan V2
The awakening significantly improves every aspect of the race.
D Clan V2 Bonuses
- 10% increased HP
- 10% increased stamina
- Conqueror’s ability
- Conqueror’s now costs only 50 stamina
Reducing the stamina cost from 250 to just 50 is an enormous improvement. You can activate Conqueror’s much more frequently without draining your stamina bar, making D Clan V2 far more practical during long boss fights and PvP battles.
