In this post, we will show you how to complete all three Volcano Island puzzles as quickly as possible. We will go through the exact steps for getting the first star, second star, and final third star so you know what to do at every stage.
The puzzles can be confusing when you first arrive because some objectives are not immediately obvious. One of them requires triggering a hidden event, while another requires destroying multiple magma spots before you can even fight the boss. Let’s go through everything step by step.
How to Complete Secret Volcano 3-Star Puzzle in Blox Fruit
For the first puzzle, we need to locate the area containing the small Elemental enemies.
When you arrive at the correct location, you will find several Elementals, including smaller enemies and larger ones. To complete this puzzle, you need to defeat every single Elemental in the area.
Make sure you don’t leave the smaller enemies alive because the puzzle will not finish until you clear them as well.
There is also a larger Elemental boss involved in this challenge. To spawn it, you need to destroy the volcano or magma object located in the middle of the area.
Once you break it, a huge Elemental will appear.
Now, defeat the large Elemental along with all the remaining small enemies. After clearing everything, the first puzzle will be completed.
You should then see the star appear. Go ahead and interact with or talk to the star NPC to claim your reward, including the exclusive free levels.
After claiming it, you will have completed the first Volcano Island challenge and earned your first star.
Volcano Island Second Puzzle – Find and Destroy the Hidden Drill
The second puzzle starts after getting information from a Skeleton. The clue tells us that we need to destroy a drill somewhere inside a cave.
To find the cave, head down toward the edge of the islands near the elevator and continue straight into the cave area.
However, there is an important thing to remember here.
Do not destroy the drill attached to the wall. That is not the drill required for the puzzle.
Instead, you need to trigger a special event that causes the correct drill to appear.
How to Trigger the Drill Event
Based on the gameplay, the event can be triggered by climbing all the way up inside the cave and waiting for a few seconds.
After reaching the upper area, stay there for around 5 to 10 seconds. The event should eventually trigger, and you may hear sounds indicating that something has appeared below.
When you look down, the correct drill should now be there.
This will also trigger a cinematic.
Once the event has started, go ahead and destroy the newly spawned drill. Again, make sure you are attacking the drill that appeared through the event and not the one already attached to the wall.
Escape the Cave Quickly
After destroying the correct drill, the next objective is simple: escape the cave as quickly as possible.
Head back out and use the elevator to return to the main area.
Once you are safely outside, go back to the NPC and claim your reward. Completing this challenge will give you your second star for Volcano Island.
At this point, only one more puzzle remains before you complete the entire island.
Volcano Island Third Puzzle – Defeat the Boss
The third and final puzzle involves fighting a boss.
Start by talking to the NPC to find out which boss you need to deal with. In this case, the objective leads us to the Magma Village area.
The boss may have a spawn timer, so you will need to wait until it becomes available. Once the boss spawns, a cinematic will play.
However, you cannot immediately start fighting it.
Before the boss becomes fully available, there is another objective we need to complete.
Destroy All the Magma Spots Around the Volcano
After the boss appears, head outside and start looking for the lava or magma spots around the volcano.
You need to destroy these magma objects one by one.
The easiest way is to move around the volcano in a full circle, checking the entire area and breaking every magma spot you find.
Keep going until you have destroyed all of them.
Once everything has been broken, another cinematic should play. The volcano will erupt, and the boss will finally become available for the real fight.
How to Defeat the Volcano Island Boss
Now you can finally attack the boss and finish the third puzzle.
One thing to watch out for during this fight is the lava around the battlefield. The lava can quickly drain your health, sometimes causing more problems than the boss itself.
Try to avoid standing in lava for too long and keep moving around the arena.
This can be especially annoying depending on the build or fruit you are using. Large transformations can make positioning more difficult in the lava-filled area, so be careful where you move during the fight.
Keep dealing damage while avoiding the lava as much as possible. Once the boss is defeated, the final challenge will be complete.
Claim Your Third Star Reward
After defeating the boss, return to the Mayor or the relevant NPC to claim your final reward and exclusive free levels.
Once you do that, you will have completed all three puzzles on Volcano Island and earned the full 3-Star completion.
The three challenges are quite different, so the main thing to remember is:
- First Star: Defeat all small and large Elementals, including the large one spawned by destroying the central magma object.
- Second Star: Enter the cave, trigger the hidden drill event by climbing up and waiting, destroy the spawned drill, and escape.
- Third Star: Wait for the boss, destroy all magma spots around the volcano, then defeat the boss while avoiding the lava.
