How to Get the Meteoric Rod Fast in Fisch – Rod Quest

Looking to get the Meteoric Rod in Fisch without wasting time figuring out the quest yourself? In this guide, I’ll walk you through the entire quest from start to finish, including where to find the NPC, what items you need, and the best methods mentioned for getting each requirement.

The quest has a few different objectives, including collecting cosmic items, clearing meteors, catching specific fish, and collecting gemstones. Once everything is finished, you’ll be able to return to the NPC and claim the Meteoric Rod.

How to Get the Meteoric Rod Fast in Fisch – Rod Quest

To begin, make your way to the Frigid area in the Northern Expedition.

Once you’re there, look for the NPC near the upper part of the area. Interact with him and he’ll give you the questline for the Meteoric Rod.

There are several steps to complete, so I recommend gathering the required items one by one rather than running around randomly looking for everything.

Get a Cosmic Relic From a Fallen Star

The first requirement is 1 Cosmic Relic, which you can obtain from fallen stars.

For this, use a Starfall Totem to trigger the necessary event. Once the meteor event is active, look around the different islands for the pink beam of light shooting into the sky.

That’s the location you want to investigate.

Once you find the correct fallen star, collect the Cosmic Relic and you’ll be ready to move on to the next part of the quest.

Obtain a Moonstone

Next, you need to obtain 1 Moonstone.

For this requirement, the recommended options are an Item Aquarium or a Meteor Totem.

If you already have one of these available, this part shouldn’t be too troublesome. The main thing is simply getting the Moonstone into your inventory so you can continue the quest.

Get a Solar Blaze or Nova Frozen Warnet

The next requirement is a little more specific because you need to obtain either a Solar Blaze or a Nova Frozen Warnet.

For the fishing setup, head to the Overgrown Canal and use the appropriate rod along with Starlight Worm bait.

You can also take advantage of special weather or event conditions.

An Eclipse is useful if you’re trying to get the Solar Blaze, while an Aurora can help if you’re going for the other option.

So, you don’t necessarily need to force yourself into one specific route. Pick whichever option works better with the items and conditions you already have.

Once you’ve obtained the required fish, return to the NPC at Frigid.

Clear the Fallen Meteors

After turning in the previous requirements, the quest gives you another task: clean up fallen meteors around the Northern Expedition.

This part is pretty straightforward.

You’ll need a Pickaxe to break the fallen meteors.

Look around the Northern Expedition for the meteor locations. They stand out because you’ll see a blue star-like marker around them.

Walk over to each meteor and use your Pickaxe.

Keep searching around the area until you’ve cleared all of the meteors required by the quest.

Find the Quartz Glass Secret Area

Another requirement is 1 Quartz Glass.

This is a new exotic found inside a secret area around the Cryogenic Pool.

Getting to the area is easier once you know exactly where to look.

How to Enter the Quartz Glass Area

First, teleport to the Cryogenic area.

From there, make your way onto the bridge and start heading downward.

You want to reach the bottom section of the area.

Once you’re down there, look for a dark doorway.

Simply walk through the doorway and you’ll enter the hidden fishing area.

This is where you need to fish for the new exotic Quartz Glass.

Once you catch it, you can continue with the Meteoric Rod quest.

Obtain the Solar Blaze-Style Fish

The next objective requires another specific fishing setup.

You’ll need to use the Wicked Thing Rod with Garbage Bait while an Eclipse is active.

Many players recommend fishing in the Crimson Key for this requirement, although another location such as Tidalfall can also work according to the route used in the video.

The important part here is having the correct rod, bait, and Eclipse condition.

If you’re already prepared, this step shouldn’t take too long.

Collect Every Gemstone

For the final requirement, you’ll need to obtain one of each gemstone.

This is another part where an Item Aquarium or Meteor Totem can be useful.

Rather than trying to collect everything randomly, use whichever method you have available to increase your chances of obtaining the gemstones you still need.

Check your inventory as you go so you don’t waste time collecting duplicates after you’ve already completed a particular gemstone requirement.

Return to the Frigid NPC

Once you’ve completed every requirement, head back to the NPC in the Frigid area.

Talk to him again and turn in the completed quest.

After everything is accepted, you’ll finally receive the Meteoric Rod.

That’s the entire process.

It sounds like a lot when you first look at the quest, but breaking it into smaller objectives makes it much easier to complete.

Meteoric Rod Stats

Once you have the rod, here’s what its stats look like:

  • Lure Speed: 75%
  • Luck: 175%
  • Control: 0.05
  • Resilience: 25%
  • Max Kg: 550,000

Its ability is described as “Harness the true strength of the meteors.”

The rod also has a pretty distinctive meteor-themed appearance, making it stand out from many of the other rods in Fisch.

The Meteoric Rod quest has quite a few steps, but once you know where everything is, it’s much easier to work through.

The most important things are preparing your Starfall Totem, Pickaxe, fishing rods, bait, and weather/event conditions before you start. That way, you won’t constantly have to stop the quest to go back and grab something you forgot.

The secret Quartz Glass location is probably the easiest part to miss, so remember to head down to the bottom of the Cryogenic area and look for the dark doorway.

Once you’ve finished the final gemstone requirement, simply return to the Frigid NPC and the Meteoric Rod is yours.
