The FishFest event has added a bunch of collectibles to hunt down, and one of the trickier ones players are asking about is the Red Conch. At first, I thought this would be another simple fetch quest, but there’s actually a small sequence of steps you need to complete before you can dig it up.
The good news is that the challenge isn’t difficult once you know what the game expects you to do. The biggest mistake most players make is heading straight to the digging location without completing the earlier requirements first.
If you’re trying to get the Red Conch as quickly as possible, here’s exactly what you need to do.
Complete the Jet Ski Race in Under 2 Minutes
The first requirement is participating in the FishFest Jet Ski Race.
You don’t need to win the race, which is something a lot of players get confused about. Your placement doesn’t matter. The only thing the game seems to care about is your completion time.
As long as you finish the race in less than two minutes, you’ll complete this part of the requirement.
If you’re struggling with the timer, focus on taking clean turns instead of trying risky shortcuts. A smooth run is usually enough to beat the two-minute requirement.
Read the Red Bottle Message
After finishing the race requirement, make sure you interact with and read the message from the Red Bottle.
This step is important because it appears to activate the next part of the treasure hunt. Some players skip straight to the digging location and wonder why nothing happens.
Before moving on, double-check that you’ve actually read the bottle’s message.
Bring a Plastic Shovel
Next, you’ll need a Plastic Shovel.
Without the shovel, you won’t be able to dig up the hidden treasure, even if you’re standing in the correct location.
If you don’t already have one in your inventory, make sure to grab it before heading to the digging spot.
Find the Red Conch Digging Location
Once you’ve completed the race, read the bottle message, and equipped your Plastic Shovel, it’s time to find the buried treasure.
The Red Conch is buried near two very easy-to-spot landmarks:
- The Sand Castle
- The Lighthouse
Head toward the beach area where these landmarks are located. The treasure is buried in the sand nearby.
If you’re following a video guide, use the exact spot shown there, as the digging location is fairly specific.
Dig Up the Red Conch
When you reach the correct location, equip your Plastic Shovel and start digging.
If you’ve completed all previous requirements correctly, the Red Conch should appear after digging in the correct spot.
That’s all there is to it.
Compared to some of the other FishFest collectibles, the Red Conch is actually pretty straightforward. The race timer is the only part that might give some players trouble, but once you’ve cleared that requirement, the rest is simply following the treasure hunt clues.
If you’re not finding the conch, go back and verify that you’ve completed the race under two minutes and read the Red Bottle message first. Those are the two steps players most commonly miss.
