You’ll need to spend some time exploring the new underwater city, completing quests, collecting crafting materials, and restoring the beacon system before you can finally put this rod together.
I’ll be honest, the first time you enter The Deep, it can feel pretty confusing. There are quests everywhere, different NPCs asking for different materials, and several beacon-related objectives that don’t exactly explain what you’re supposed to do next.

How to Get the Titanium Rod in Fisch
The Titanium Rod is a crafted fishing rod, meaning you need to collect several materials before you can obtain it.
The main materials required are:
- Titanium Shaft
- Paws
- Reel
- Refined Scrap
Once you have all of these materials, you can craft the Titanium Rod.
The difficult part isn’t really the final crafting step. The annoying part is getting access to the areas, quests, and materials needed along the way.
Start by Entering The Deep
Your first step is to head into the new Deep area introduced with the update.
When you arrive, you’ll receive the Deep Survey Device MK1, which becomes extremely important for exploring the area. The Deep is much different from the normal fishing locations because you’re dealing with underwater movement, low-gravity walking, dangerous fish, dark areas, beacons, and a huge number of NPC quests.
Don’t worry if the area feels overwhelming at first. There are a lot of quests available, and you don’t necessarily need to understand every single one immediately.
Start talking to the NPCs around the city and accept the quests they offer. You’ll eventually start collecting the materials required for the various upgrades and beacon objectives.
Complete the Beacon Objectives
One of the biggest parts of progressing through The Deep is restoring the different beacon towers.
The beacons aren’t just there for decoration. Restoring them helps illuminate the different sectors and makes exploring the area much easier.
You’ll need different materials and items for the various beacon towers, including things such as:
- Abyssal Lens
- Bioluminescent Battery
- Reinforced Housing
- Hydrocore
- Other quest materials
Some of these items come from NPC quests, so don’t immediately assume that you need to find everything randomly around the map.
For example, one of the beacon objectives requires an Abyssal Lens. After obtaining it and using it at the appropriate beacon, the area becomes much easier to navigate.
Another beacon requires a Bioluminescent Battery, while another uses Reinforced Housing.
This is where the update can get confusing. If you find a beacon that you can’t activate yet, check the NPCs around the city and look through your active quests. There’s a good chance you’re missing an item from one of them.
Complete NPC Quests for the Required Materials
The Deep has a ridiculous number of quests, and you’ll notice NPCs asking for all sorts of things.
Some early requirements include materials such as:
- Bone Shards
- Chitlin Plates
- Abyssal Biofluid
- Salvage Scrap
- Luminous Hake
- Radiant Prism materials
The easiest approach is to accept as many relevant quests as possible instead of completing one quest and running back every few minutes.
You’ll eventually start completing multiple objectives at the same time because you’re collecting similar materials for different NPCs.
That saves a lot of unnecessary traveling.
Get the Luminous Rod Along the Way
While working through the Deep quests, you’ll eventually have the opportunity to obtain the Luminous Rod.
Its stats are:
- Lure Speed: 70%
- Luck: 95%
- Control: 0.1
- Resilience: 25%
- Max Kg: 60,000
- Progress Speed: +10%
The Luminous Rod isn’t the reason we’re here, but it’s worth mentioning because you’ll encounter it while progressing through the same quest chain.
It also has some useful mutation-related effects, including Bioluminescent, which can make it useful for certain parts of the Deep update.
But if your goal is the Titanium Rod, don’t get distracted. Keep working through the quests and materials.
Obtain the Titanium Shaft
The Titanium Shaft is one of the important components for the Titanium Rod.
This is where you’ll want to pay close attention to the quests you’re completing. Some of the NPCs and crafting objectives eventually lead you toward the materials required for the Titanium Rod.
Once you finally obtain the Titanium Shaft, keep it in your inventory.
You don’t want to accidentally trade away or use an important crafting material after spending all that time getting it.
Collect Paws, Reel and Refined Scrap
The remaining components you need are:
Titanium Shaft + Paws + Reel + Refined Scrap
The exact grind for these materials is part of the broader Deep progression, so continue completing the NPC objectives and collecting the crafting materials you encounter.
The Salvage Scrap you collect during the early Deep quests is particularly relevant to this progression, as you’ll eventually be working toward the refined version required for the rod.
This is also why it’s a good idea to accept the bounty and material quests whenever they’re available. Even if you don’t immediately know what a material is for, it can become useful later.
Craft the Titanium Rod
Once you’ve finally collected everything, head back to the appropriate crafting location and combine the required materials.
You’ll need:

- Paws
- Reel
- Refined Scrap
After the crafting process is completed, the Titanium Rod will be yours.
And yes, after all that exploring and questing, seeing the rod finally appear in your inventory feels pretty good.

The Titanium Rod has some seriously impressive stats for a rod that requires this much work.

- Resilience: 75%

The rod is described as an extremely strong and durable weapon of fishing equipment, and visually it has a pretty cool metallic design with its own aura.
But the stats aren’t even the most interesting part.
The Titanium Rod is definitely one of those “you’re going to have to work for it” items in Fisch.
The Deep update throws a lot at you at once. Between the underwater city, beacon restoration, NPC quests, crafting materials, dark areas, and new fishing mechanics, it’s incredibly easy to spend an hour wandering around wondering what you’re actually supposed to be doing.
The good news is that once you understand the progression, everything starts to make much more sense.
Work through the NPC quests, restore the beacons, collect your crafting materials, obtain the Titanium Shaft, Paws, Reel, and Refined Scrap, and you’ll eventually be able to craft the Titanium Rod.
And honestly? After testing it, I think the grind is worth it.
The rod’s 180% Luck, 75% Resilience, 0.3 Control, and multi-slash ability make it a genuinely strong option, while the Titanium mutation gives you another reason to keep fishing with it.
