If you are playing Grand Piece Online (GPO) and looking for the new Thunder Club and Leopard Fruit, this guide will walk you through what I did to get both. The latest Hokage Island expansion Part 2 added a new Kaido boss along with new rewards, weapons, and fruits, so there is plenty to farm right now.
In this post, I will explain how I obtained the Thunder Club, what happened during the Kaido boss runs, and how I managed to get the new Leopard Fruit from a Mythical Chest. I honestly did not expect to get both items so quickly, especially the Leopard Fruit.
I will also show you the Thunder Club stats, the build I used, and why I think the weapon is a great option for combo-focused builds. So, if you are trying to get the new rewards yourself, here is everything you need to know.
How to Obtain Thunder Club and Leopard Fruit in GPO
The Thunder Club can be obtained by taking on the new Kaido boss added with the Part 2 expansion of the Hokage Island update.
I started by running the new boss several times with other players. The first few attempts were mostly about getting used to the fight, and unfortunately, some of the early runs ended without the drop I wanted.
During one of the runs, though, things started going much better.
After defeating Kaido, I opened the rewards and started getting some pretty good drops. I managed to get his mask first, followed by a cape and eventually his outfit. The outfit itself is useful because it provides a 5% Strength Damage Multiplier, making it especially interesting for Strength-based builds.
The cape also provides useful bonuses, including 50 Stamina, 125 Health, 3.5 Health Regen, and 2.5 Stamina Regen.
But the big reward I was after was the Thunder Club.
After several boss runs, I finally got it. Considering how many attempts can go without getting the item you want, I was pretty happy with that drop.
Kaido Boss Rewards
The new Kaido boss is worth farming because the rewards go beyond just the Thunder Club.
While running the boss, I managed to obtain several pieces of Kaido-related gear. The drops I saw included:
- Kaido’s Mask
- Kaido’s Cape
- Kaido’s Outfit
- Thunder Club
The exact drop you receive will depend on your luck, so you should be prepared to run the boss multiple times.
I definitely had some crazy luck during these runs because I ended up getting multiple valuable rewards while farming.
Thunder Club Stats and Build
Once I finally obtained the Thunder Club, I immediately equipped it to test the weapon.
At the time, my stats were:
- Strength: 1,000
- Stamina: 700
- Defense: 0
- Fighting Style: 325
One of the biggest things I like about the Thunder Club is that its damage scales with Strength.
That makes it a really interesting choice if you are already running a Strength-heavy build. I was using Kaido’s Outfit as well, which gives an additional 5% Strength Damage Multiplier.
I also planned to get the cape because it provides another 5% multiplier, which can make the overall build even stronger.
Thunder Club Moves
The Thunder Club has some useful abilities for extending combos.
One of the moves I was particularly interested in is Tyrant’s Rage. The ability gives you a downward slam, which makes it useful for continuing a combo after knocking an opponent down.
This was especially exciting for me because I had been using Bone Shiver before it was nerfed.
Bone Shiver’s down-slam ability was a really useful combo extender, so losing that option was disappointing. With Tyrant’s Rage, I can once again use a similar setup to continue combos.
I can slam the opponent down and then continue into another attack, giving me more options when building a combo.
Thunder Club With Abyssal Karate V2
For my build, I decided to pair the Thunder Club with Abyssal Karate V2.
The combination makes sense because the Thunder Club benefits from Strength, while the fighting style gives me additional options for extending and continuing combos.
I was especially interested in testing this combination for PvP.
At the time I recorded the gameplay, the 1v1 PvP mode was temporarily unavailable, so I could not properly test the weapon against other players. However, based on the moves and combo potential, I was already looking forward to trying it out once PvP was available again.
How I Got the Leopard Fruit
The Leopard Fruit was an entirely different kind of lucky drop.
After obtaining the Thunder Club, I opened a Mythical Chest to see what I could get.
The chest had several Mythical Fruits available, including:
- Buddha
- Dragon
- Leopard
- Mochi
Each of the fruits shown had an 11.11% chance according to the chest screen.
I was mainly hoping to get the new Leopard Fruit, but I honestly was not expecting it to happen on the first attempt.
Then I opened the chest.
And somehow, I actually got Leopard.
I was completely surprised because it was my first Mythical Chest. Getting the new fruit immediately after obtaining the Thunder Club made the whole farming session feel ridiculously lucky.
Is Leopard Fruit Worth Getting?
If you are interested in the newer Mythical Fruits in GPO, Leopard is definitely one you will want to keep an eye out for.
The biggest challenge is getting the fruit in the first place. Since it comes from the Mythical Chest, you are relying heavily on the chest’s available rewards and your luck.
In my case, I managed to get it from my very first Mythical Chest, but you should not expect the same result every time.
If you are farming for Leopard, be prepared to open multiple Mythical Chests before getting the fruit you want.
My Thunder Club Experience
Getting the Thunder Club was easily one of the highlights of this update for me.
I went into the Kaido runs expecting to farm for a while, but I ended up getting several useful rewards along the way. Once I finally got the Thunder Club, I immediately started thinking about how I could fit it into my current build.
The weapon looks great, but what really caught my attention was the combo potential. The down-slam from Tyrant’s Rage gives me the kind of combo extension I had been missing after the Bone Shiver nerf.
Since the weapon also scales with Strength, it fits perfectly with the type of build I was already using.
Overall, the Part 2 expansion of the Hokage Island update added some interesting rewards to GPO. The new Kaido boss gives players another reason to farm, and the Thunder Club is a particularly interesting reward if you enjoy Strength-based builds and PvP combos.
I was also extremely lucky with the Mythical Chest because I managed to pull Leopard on my first chest. Getting both the Thunder Club and Leopard during the same session was definitely not something I expected.
If you are currently farming the update, I would recommend giving the Kaido boss a few runs and saving your Mythical Chests for a chance at Leopard and the other Mythical Fruits. Just be prepared for the possibility that your luck will not be quite as ridiculous as mine was.
