Before you even place your first unit, it’s important to understand the raid’s biggest restriction.
Only the first unit you place keeps its:

- Familiar
- Memoria
Every unit placed afterward loses those bonuses.
Because of this, your opening placement is the most important decision you’ll make during the entire run.
Best First Unit
The recommended first placement is:
Gojo vs Sukuna with the Monarch trait.
Since only your first unit keeps its full build, you want your strongest carry benefiting from every available bonus.
Gojo vs Sukuna is currently one of the strongest damage dealers for this raid thanks to its high damage output and ability to deal with long boss fights.
Recommended Solo Team
After placing your main carry, build the rest of your team around supporting it.
A recommended lineup includes:
- Gojo vs Sukuna (Main DPS)
- Reimu
- Ainz
- Devoted Demon
- Skill King
- Erza (using a Caloric Stone)
Most of these units are there to provide buffs while Gojo vs Sukuna handles the majority of the damage.

Reimu is arguably the second most important unit in this strategy.
Mahoraga has a mechanic where it constantly becomes immune to the element that attacked it most recently.

At first, that doesn’t sound especially powerful.

If you activate Full Stack on Wave 30, the final wave never advances because it’s the last stage.
That means Mahoraga effectively remains vulnerable for the rest of the battle.
Instead of constantly adapting, the boss stays exposed while your team deals uninterrupted damage until the fight ends.
This single card makes the final boss dramatically easier.
When to Use Full Stack
Don’t waste it earlier.
Wait until:
- Wave 30 begins.
- The final Mahoraga spawns.
Only then should you activate Full Stack.
Using it earlier significantly reduces its overall value.
Should You Upgrade Reimu?
Yes.
Once your main carry is fully upgraded and you have spare cash, invest some resources into Reimu.
Increasing her range and attack coverage helps ensure Mahoraga continues adapting to Holy consistently throughout the fight.
Chaos Mode Recommendation
If you’re farming the raid repeatedly, enable Chaos Mode.
Chaos Mode speeds up wave progression, allowing you to complete runs faster and farm rewards more efficiently.
Considering Act 4 already has 30 waves, every bit of time saved helps.
Sorcerer Battlefield Raid Act 4 initially feels overwhelming because Mahoraga’s immunity mechanic punishes traditional team setups. Once you build around that mechanic instead of fighting against it, the raid becomes much more consistent.
