Since the launch of Apex Legends, there has never been a chance to play the game as a solo. However, starting next week, for a limited time, you will be able to play Apex Legends as a solo.
Apex Legends took to Twitter yesterday with the surprise announcement that solos will be coming to Apex Legends as part of their ‘The Iron Crown Collection Event’. Much of the details about the event are unknown. In fact, the only detail that we know is that solos are coming. However, we are guessing that new cosmetics and content will be available with this event, like the ones we saw with the Bloodhound’s event.
Unfortunately, the solo mode will only be here for a limited time. However, if the mode does become popular, I’m certain Respawn will bring it into the game permanently. We have seen Respawn do that before, specifically with the ranked mode they released before Season 2.
Some professionals aren’t happy with this change. Many big streamers that stream Apex full time took to Twitter stating that no one wanted solo mode and they just added it for the people who don’t play anymore.
I personally am so happy they are adding a solo mode. As I said in my Apex Legends review, I don’t like playing with strangers that I don’t know. It makes it harder to communicate and without communication, it is harder to win. I am hoping Apex keeps solo mode full time.
If you haven’t heard of Apex, it is a free to play battle royale game developed by Respawn Entertainment. A few months back, it completely blew up and gained a massive player base. Since then, Apex has had its ups and downs but overall it is doing pretty well.
I quite enjoy Apex and I wish the game has a bright future.
