Kingshot Hero Tier List August 2026 – All 34 Heroes

Choosing the right heroes in Kingshot can make a huge difference to your account. Hero XP, shards, and other upgrade materials are limited, and investing heavily in the wrong character can leave you stuck with a hero that becomes obsolete a generation later.

The biggest mistake is treating every hero as if they had the same purpose. A hero that dominates Rally combat may be mediocre on defense, while another hero that looks weak in normal combat can be one of the best choices for Bear Hunt rallies.

That’s why this Kingshot hero tier list separates heroes by role instead of putting everyone into one generic ranking.

You’ll find the best Rally leaders, Garrison defenders, Bear Hunt joiners, F2P investments, and the strongest heroes from Generations 1 through 7.

Kingshot Hero Tier List August 2026 – All 34 Heroes

Here are the strongest heroes to prioritize depending on what you want to do.

Role Best Heroes
Rally Lead Amadeus, Petra, Marlin, Thrud, Vivian, Yang, Ava, Sophia
Garrison Defense Jabel, Zoe, Hilde, Eric, Jaeger, Alcar, Margot, Vivian, Long Fei, Triton, Charles, Wee & Woo
Bear Hunt Joiner Chenko, Amadeus, Yeonwoo, Amane, Margot, Vivian, Wee & Woo, Ava
F2P Investment Zoe, Jabel, Chenko, Amane, Marlin

Your server’s generation is extremely important. A Gen 7 hero might be stronger on paper than an older character, but that doesn’t mean you should immediately abandon a heavily invested Gen 3 or Gen 4 hero.

A high-star hero with good gear can remain useful for a long time.

Best Long-Term Kingshot Heroes

Some heroes are worth investing in because they remain useful even after several new generations are released.

Hero Generation Class Main Strength
Amadeus 1 Infantry Permanent offensive rally widget
Zoe 2 Infantry Excellent F2P defensive tank
Petra 3 Cavalry Powerful cavalry rally leader
Marlin 2 Archer Long-lasting ranged investment
Hilde 2 Cavalry Exceptional garrison and joiner value
Vivian 5 Archer Massive army-wide offensive amplification
Yang 6 Archer Excellent F2P offensive hero
Ava 7 Cavalry Strong Gen 7 rally leader and Bear joiner
Charles 7 Infantry Outstanding defensive anchor

How Hero Generations Work

Kingshot releases new heroes in generations. Each new generation generally comes with higher base statistics than the previous one.

The approximate progression is:

Server Age Generation New Heroes
Day 0–50 Gen 1 Jabel, Amadeus, Helga, Saul
Day 50–113 Gen 2 Hilde, Zoe, Marlin
Day 113–197 Gen 3 Petra, Eric, Jaeger
Day 197–281 Gen 4 Rosa, Alcar, Margot
Day 281–365 Gen 5 Vivian, Long Fei, Thrud
Day 365–449 Gen 6 Yang, Triton, Sophia
Day 449+ Gen 7 Ava, Charles, Wee & Woo

New generations arrive roughly every 80 days, although the exact timing can vary.

The important thing to understand is that newer does not automatically mean better for every role.

Some older heroes have unique mechanics that keep them relevant for multiple generations.

Amadeus is the clearest example. Despite being a Generation 1 hero, his offensive rally widget gives him a role that newer infantry heroes don’t completely replace.

Kingshot Rally Hero Tier List August 2026

Rally heroes are characters you use when you’re leading an attack.

For this role, offensive widgets and strong Expedition skills are particularly important.

S Tier — Best Rally Heroes

Amadeus

Amadeus remains one of the most unusual heroes in Kingshot because his offensive infantry rally widget gives him long-term value.

He isn’t the easiest hero for F2P players to acquire, but players who have access to him can continue using him well beyond the early game.

Petra

Petra is the first major cavalry rally hero and remains one of the best choices once Generation 3 becomes available.

Her Change of Fate ability can produce extremely high damage, while her Rally-focused widget gives her additional value when leading attacks.

Marlin

Marlin is one of the best long-term investments for Archer players.

He offers strong damage and useful crowd control while remaining relevant after his own generation has passed.

Thrud

Thrud becomes an important cavalry rally option around Generation 5. Her strength comes from improving the performance of the army rather than simply relying on personal damage.

Vivian

Vivian is one of the strongest offensive heroes in the list.

Her Crouching Tiger skill increases the damage enemies take, effectively improving the output of your entire army. This makes her particularly valuable in high-level rallies.

Yang

Yang is one of the best Generation 6 options, particularly for players who want a more accessible hero.

She combines high base Attack with an offensive Rally Lethality effect.

Ava

Ava is the major Generation 7 cavalry upgrade.

Her Rally Lethality widget, Defense reduction, and additional damage amplification give her an excellent offensive package.

Sophia

Sophia is another strong Generation 6 rally option. Her damage and debuff mechanics make her especially useful for players who want an offensive cavalry hero with strong combat abilities.

A Tier — Strong Rally Options

  • Helga
  • Rosa
  • Long Fei
  • Wee & Woo
  • Triton

These heroes can perform very well but have a specific limitation compared with the strongest rally specialists.

Rosa, for example, is particularly impressive in Arena and as a Bear Hunt rally host, while Wee & Woo have excellent damage skills but a defensive-focused widget.

B Tier — Usable Rally Heroes

  • Jabel
  • Saul
  • Zoe
  • Hilde
  • Eric
  • Jaeger
  • Alcar
  • Margot
  • Charles

Most of these heroes are primarily designed around defense or utility.

They’re perfectly usable when your account is still developing, but they shouldn’t normally be your final rally investment.

C Tier

  • Quinn
  • Howard
  • Chenko
  • Gordon

These heroes don’t provide the same offensive rally value as the higher-ranked characters.

D Tier

  • Yeonwoo
  • Amane
  • Fahd
  • Diana
  • Forrest
  • Seth
  • Edwin
  • Olive

These characters are generally better suited to specialized utility or early-game purposes.

Kingshot Garrison Tier List August 2026

Garrison is completely different from Rally.

Instead of maximizing offensive output, you’re trying to survive attacks, reduce incoming damage, and make your defensive formation difficult to break.

S Tier Garrison Heroes

Jabel

Jabel is one of the best early defensive investments because she is easy to obtain and remains useful even after newer generations arrive.

Her defensive skills make her especially valuable during the early and mid-game.

Zoe

Zoe is arguably the best F2P defensive investment.

Her Agony Rush ability can restore a huge portion of her Health when she falls below 50%, allowing her to survive bursts that would eliminate many other heroes.

Hilde

Hilde combines defensive utility with healing and strong garrison mechanics.

She is also exceptionally valuable when used in stacked garrison joiner setups.

Eric

Eric is a durable Infantry defender with defensive scaling and crowd control.

Jaeger

Jaeger’s defensive utility and enemy Lethality reduction make him a strong garrison option.

Alcar

Alcar is designed around sustained defense and is particularly valuable once Generation 4 becomes available.

Margot

Margot is a strong Cavalry defender with reliable Expedition effects.

Vivian

Although Vivian is primarily an offensive hero, her overall value remains high enough to make her useful in defensive formations.

Long Fei

Long Fei is one of the strongest Generation 5 defensive Infantry heroes thanks to his survivability and defensive mechanics.

Triton

Triton provides strong Generation 6 defensive value and is an excellent Infantry option.

Charles

Charles is the major Generation 7 defensive anchor.

His kit includes enemy Lethality reduction, damage reduction, increased Health, and a powerful recovery mechanic.

Wee & Woo

Wee & Woo are an interesting hybrid. Their defender-focused widget combined with their offensive abilities gives them considerable value in defensive events.

A Tier Garrison Heroes

  • Saul
  • Sophia

Both are capable defenders but don’t have quite the same combination of durability and defensive specialization as the S-tier group.

B Tier Garrison Heroes

  • Amadeus
  • Petra
  • Marlin
  • Rosa
  • Helga
  • Thrud
  • Ava
  • Yang

These heroes can defend successfully, but their kits are generally more focused on offense.

Kingshot Bear Hunt Joiner Tier List August 2026

Bear Hunt uses a very different ranking system.

When you join another player’s rally, you should not simply choose your strongest hero.

The important factor is the first Expedition skill of your lead hero.

That means a hero can be mediocre everywhere else and still be an excellent Bear Hunt joiner.

S+ Bear Hunt Joiners

Chenko

Chenko is one of the best accessible Bear Hunt joiners because her first Expedition skill provides a direct Lethality increase.

There is no complicated proc to rely on.

Amadeus

Amadeus provides a direct offensive Lethality benefit, making him an excellent choice for Bear rallies.

Yeonwoo

Yeonwoo provides useful offensive support through her first Expedition skill.

Amane

Amane is another strong offensive joiner and can contribute to stacking damage effects.

Margot

Margot has a reliable first Expedition skill that makes her a strong choice for Bear Hunt.

Vivian

Vivian is one of the best Bear Hunt joiners because her first skill directly increases the damage enemies take.

Wee & Woo

Their first Expedition skill provides both Attack and Lethality, making them an excellent Generation 7 joiner.

Ava

Ava is particularly interesting because her first Expedition skill reduces enemy Defense.

This makes her a valuable offensive debuff joiner once Generation 7 is available.

A Tier

Hilde

Hilde’s first Expedition skill includes an Attack increase, making her useful for Bear Hunt.

However, because only part of her effect contributes directly to damage, she falls slightly below the strongest joiners.

Why Most Heroes Are Bad Bear Joiners

A common mistake is sending a hero because they are powerful in normal combat.

That doesn’t necessarily work.

If the hero’s first Expedition skill:

  • Reduces your damage taken
  • Reduces enemy Attack
  • Triggers a chance-based effect
  • Deals an isolated damage proc
  • Provides a defensive effect
  • Has no meaningful offensive impact

then that hero usually isn’t a good Bear Hunt joiner.

For example, Zoe is an excellent garrison hero but isn’t useful as a Bear joiner because her relevant Expedition effect doesn’t provide the required offensive boost.

Generation 1 Heroes

Jabel

Jabel is the best early defensive investment for many new accounts.

She’s free, easy to build, and has strong defensive utility.

Don’t continue spending large amounts of premium resources on her once your account has access to better later-generation heroes.

Amadeus is the standout Generation 1 hero.

His main advantage is his offensive Infantry widget, which gives him unusual longevity.

Best roles: Rally and Bear Hunt

Rally: S

Bear Hunt: Not useful

If you’re F2P, getting Zoe’s stars up should be one of your highest priorities.

Rally: B
Garrison: S
Bear Hunt: A

He’s particularly useful in Arena and Expedition while remaining effective as newer generations arrive.

Rally: S

Generation 4 Heroes

Rosa

Rosa is particularly powerful in Arena.

Her ability to protect against debuffs gives her a major advantage against stun-heavy teams.

She’s also an excellent Bear Hunt rally host because her Golden Rhythm skill improves Archer Attack.

However, she should not be confused with a top Bear Hunt joiner.

Rally: A
Arena: S+
Bear Hunt Host: A
Bear Hunt Joiner: Not useful

Alcar

Alcar is a defensive Infantry specialist.

Rally: B
Garrison: S
Bear Hunt: Not useful

Margot

She’s useful for Garrison and has strong Bear Hunt joiner value.

Rally: B

Generation 5 Heroes

Vivian

Vivian is one of the biggest power spikes in the entire hero roster.

Her ability to increase enemy damage taken improves the performance of your entire army rather than just herself.

Rally: S+
Garrison: B
Bear Hunt: S+

She’s one of the safest offensive investments for players entering Generation 5.

Thrud

Thrud is a powerful Cavalry force multiplier.

She combines high base Attack with offensive rally utility and is more accessible than some premium Generation 6 heroes.

Bear Hunt: Not useful

Sophia

Sophia is a powerful offensive hero built around AoE damage and debuffs.

Rally: S
Garrison: A
Bear Hunt: Not useful

Triton

Triton is a strong Infantry combat hero with excellent damage and control.

His main downside is accessibility compared with Yang.

Rally: A
Garrison: S
Bear Hunt: Not useful

Generation 7 Heroes

Generation 7 introduces Ava, Charles, and Wee & Woo.

These heroes represent another major statistical jump, but their roles are very different.

Ava

Ava is the offensive Cavalry specialist.

Her Rally Lethality widget, enemy Defense reduction, and damage amplification give her one of the cleanest offensive kits in Gen 7.

Rally: S
Garrison: B
Bear Hunt: S+

Charles

Charles is the defensive star of Generation 7.

His kit focuses on reducing incoming damage, lowering enemy Lethality, increasing Health, and recovering Health during combat.

Rally: B
Garrison: S
Bear Hunt: Not useful

Wee & Woo

Wee & Woo have an impressive damage-oriented Expedition kit.

They increase Attack and Lethality while also providing additional class-specific damage.

Their defender-focused widget prevents them from being the obvious first Rally choice, but they are excellent in Garrison and Bear Hunt.

Rally: A
Garrison: S
Bear Hunt: S+

Epic and Rare Heroes

Not every useful hero belongs to a numbered generation.

Several Epic and Rare heroes have specialized purposes.

Hero Best Use Tier
Chenko Bear Hunt S+

Yeonwoo Bear Hunt S+
Gordon Early Rally B
Howard Garrison C
Quinn Limited combat C
Diana Limited utility D
Fahd Garrison debuffer C

Chenko deserves special attention because her first Expedition skill provides a straightforward Lethality increase.

She doesn’t need a complicated setup to contribute to a Bear Hunt rally.

Best F2P Investment Path

If you’re playing Kingshot without spending heavily, don’t try to build every hero.

A focused account will progress much faster.

1. Zoe

Make Zoe one of your highest priorities.

Her defensive value lasts for several generations, making her one of the safest uses of your resources.

2. Jabel

Jabel is an excellent early investment because she is free and provides immediate Garrison value.

3. Chenko or Amane

Collect strong Bear Hunt joiners whenever you can.

You don’t necessarily need to pour premium resources into them; their first Expedition skill is what matters most when joining rallies.

4. Marlin

Marlin is a strong ranged investment for F2P players and can carry you through a large portion of the early and mid-game.

5. Amadeus

If you eventually gain access to Amadeus, his offensive Rally widget gives him exceptional long-term value.

Low-Spender Priority

A practical low-spender progression looks like:

Zoe → Petra → Hilde → current-generation priorities

Don’t spread your shards across every hero.

Instead, concentrate your resources on heroes that will remain relevant for multiple generations.

Heavy-Spender Priority

Players willing to invest heavily can build around the strongest heroes from each generation.

A powerful late-game offensive core can include:

Vivian + Yang + Ava + Petra/Thrud

For defense, prioritize:

Zoe + Eric + Alcar + Charles

For Bear Hunt, maintain a pool of strong joiners rather than simply sending your highest-power heroes:

Chenko + Amadeus + Yeonwoo + Amane + Margot + Vivian + Wee & Woo + Ava

There isn’t one universal best hero in Kingshot.

For Rally, Vivian, Yang, Ava, Amadeus, Petra, Marlin, Thrud, and Sophia are among the strongest offensive choices depending on your generation and troop type.

For Garrison, Zoe, Jabel, Hilde, Eric, Alcar, Long Fei, Charles, and Wee & Woo stand out for their defensive value.

For Bear Hunt, the rules change completely. Chenko, Amadeus, Yeonwoo, Amane, Margot, Vivian, Wee & Woo, and Ava are the most valuable joiners because their first Expedition skills directly contribute to rally damage.

For F2P players, Zoe and Marlin are particularly safe investments, while Jabel and Chenko provide excellent value without requiring the same level of spending.

Most importantly, always compare the tier list with your server generation and existing investment before spending your shards. A strong older hero with high stars can be much more valuable to your account than a brand-new hero sitting at low stars.
