Lumina Saga Beginner Guide – Quest, Companions

Lumina Saga has officially launched, and if you are just getting started, there are a few important things you should know before jumping too far into the game. Choosing the right class, redeeming the available codes, and understanding how progression works can make your early experience much smoother.

In this Lumina Saga Beginner Guide post, we will go through the best classes for PvP and PvE in Lumina Saga, all the active codes mentioned in the guide, and some important beginner tips to help you progress properly.

Lumina Saga Beginner Guide – Quests, Companions

There are several different classes available, and each one plays very differently. Some are better for surviving on the front line, while others focus on huge damage, healing teammates, or dominating other players in PvP.

We will also look at companions, skills, auto combat, and the best way to progress when you eventually hit a level wall. So, let’s start with the classes and see which one may be the best choice for you.

Blade Berserker – Best Tank Class

Starting with the Blade Berserker, this is basically your main tank class.

It has the highest survivability while still offering some pretty decent DPS. If you enjoy being on the front line and taking damage while fighting enemies, this is a very solid class to choose.

The Blade Berserker is great for dungeons, party content, and other situations where your team needs someone who can survive longer.

The downside is that solo progression can be a little slower compared to some of the higher-DPS classes. However, it is still a very solid all-around choice, especially if you enjoy playing a tank-style character.

Bard – Best Class for PvE and Solo Progression

Next, we have the Bard.

The Bard is your ranged burst damage class and is basically similar to a wizard or magic damage dealer.

This class has some of the highest DPS in the game along with the highest range. It is also fairly easy to play, which makes it a strong option for players who want to deal a lot of damage without getting too close to enemies.

The biggest problem with the Bard is survivability.

It is a very squishy class, and that can make PvP difficult. Against classes such as the Phantom Assassin, Royal Lancer, or Blade Berserker, the Bard can struggle in one-on-one fights because it simply does not have enough survivability.

However, for solo progression and PvE team battles, the Bard is one of the best options. If you have a healer supporting you, the class can become even more effective.

So, if your main focus is PvE, farming, and progressing through content quickly, the Bard is one of the strongest choices.

Demon Hunter – Strong Physical Ranged DPS

The Demon Hunter is fairly similar to the Bard in several ways.

Looking at the overall stats, there is not a huge difference between the two. However, the Demon Hunter has slightly better survivability.

This is your physical ranged damage dealer, making it similar to a traditional Archer class.

The Demon Hunter has very good DPS, sitting just behind the Bard. Its range is slightly lower, meaning the Bard can attack from farther away.

Even with that difference, the Demon Hunter is a very fun class to play and gives you a strong combination of ranged attacks, damage, and a little more survivability.

If you want a ranged class but prefer physical damage instead of the Bard’s magical style, the Demon Hunter is a great option.

Herbalist – Best Healing Support Class

The Herbalist is your straightforward healing and support class.

When it comes to solo content, this is probably going to be one of the slower classes to progress with. Because your main role focuses more on supporting others, clearing content alone can take more time.

However, when you start playing with other people, the Herbalist becomes extremely useful.

This class is great for dungeons, party content, guild battles, and pretty much anything where you are teaming up with other players.

One of the biggest advantages of playing a healer is that it can be easier to find a team. Players often need healing and support, so the Herbalist has an important role in group content.

It is also extremely easy to play, and you can set up much of the gameplay using auto combat.

If you enjoy supporting your team rather than focusing entirely on damage, the Herbalist is a very good choice.

Phantom Assassin – Best Class for PvP

The Phantom Assassin is arguably the best class for PvP.

It has some of the highest DPS in the game, only falling behind classes like the Bard in certain areas. What really makes the Phantom Assassin stand out is its movement.

Many of its abilities involve movement animations, lunges, and quickly attacking enemies. Compared to several other classes, the Phantom Assassin has much more mobility.

This makes it extremely dangerous in PvP when played properly.

The downside is that it is one of the harder classes to use.

You really need to play manually or make sure your skills are arranged in the correct order when using auto combat. The order of your abilities can make a big difference because you want buffs, stealth, or other important effects to activate before your main damage abilities.

So, while the Phantom Assassin can be one of the strongest PvP choices, it requires more attention and skill than some of the easier classes.

Royal Lancer – Best Balanced Class

Finally, we have the Royal Lancer.

This is probably the best overall balanced class.

You get good DPS along with very good survivability. It can be a little difficult to play, but it is not as challenging as the Phantom Assassin.

The Royal Lancer is also a very safe choice for beginners.

The Blade Berserker is more of your traditional tank, while the Royal Lancer sacrifices some survivability in exchange for more damage.

Because of that balance, I would highly recommend the Royal Lancer to new players, especially if you are not very familiar with MMOs or just play casually.

It gives you a good mix of damage and survivability without forcing you into a very specialized role.

Best Lumina Saga Class for Each Playstyle

Based on the classes discussed above, here is how they compare:

Best Tank

Blade Berserker is the best choice if you want high survivability and enjoy playing on the front line.

Best PvE and Solo Progression

Bard is one of the strongest options for PvE because of its extremely high DPS and long attack range.

Best Physical Ranged Class

Demon Hunter offers strong physical ranged damage with slightly better survivability than the Bard.

Best Support Class

Herbalist is the main healing class and is excellent for dungeons, parties, and guild content.

Best PvP Class

Phantom Assassin is arguably the strongest choice for PvP thanks to its high damage and excellent mobility.

Best Balanced Class

How to Redeem Codes in Lumina Saga

Redeeming codes is pretty simple.

First, open the Menu in the corner of the screen.

From there, go down to Settings.

Inside the Settings menu, look for the Redeem Code option.

Enter one of the codes and press Confirm to claim your rewards.

The codes can give you different items and resources, including things such as breakthrough stones, guild contributions, drifting bottles, skill books, enhancement stones, skill insight, and Star Coins.

Focus on the Main Quest First

Once you enter the game, one of the most important things you should do is focus on progressing through the main quest.

With these types of MMOs, the main story is extremely important because it unlocks many of the game’s features and different game modes.

My recommendation is to keep grinding through the main quest until you reach a level wall.

For example, you may reach Level 30 but discover that the next main story quest requires you to reach Level 35.

Once that happens, it is time to go back and start working on everything else.

You can complete your daily features, anomaly investigations, side content, and other activities that you unlocked while progressing through the main story.

The important thing is not to immediately jump into every new feature as soon as it becomes available.

Instead, keep progressing through the main quest until you hit a level requirement. Once you reach that level wall, go back and complete your other available activities to gain the experience and resources needed to continue.

Companions Are Very Important

One of the biggest parts of Lumina Saga is the companion system.

You can summon companions and use them to further build your character.

These companions, or pets, have different effects, and some can work better with certain classes.

When looking at your companions, you will see different categories and abilities such as:

  • Shield
  • Damage
  • Control
  • Buff

You should try to choose companions based on what your character needs.

For example, if you are struggling with survivability, you may want a companion that gives you a shield or useful buffs.

If your character is lacking damage, you may want to choose a companion that focuses more heavily on dealing damage.

The best companion setup can depend on the class you selected, so it is worth paying attention to the effects each one provides.

Understanding Skills and Character Progression

Lumina Saga includes a customizable skill tree system that allows you to continue developing your character.

The game also has a deeper awakening system later on, giving you more ways to improve your character as you progress.

For beginners, though, it is best to keep things simple.

If you are completing quests and farming groups of enemies, focus on upgrading your AoE abilities.

AoE skills can help you clear multiple enemies at once, making questing and farming much easier.

Your skills also show different categories, including:

  • Sustain
  • Damage
  • Control
  • Buff

These descriptions give you a quick idea of what each skill is designed to do.

When you are first starting, understanding these categories can help you decide which abilities should receive your upgrades.

How to Set Up Auto Combat Skills

If you use auto combat, the order of your skills is extremely important.

You can rearrange your abilities so they activate in a specific order during auto combat.

This is particularly important for the Phantom Assassin.

For example, you may want to place a buff ability first if it increases your damage, critical chance, or provides a stealth effect.

After activating the buff, your character can then start using the main damage abilities.

You do not want your strongest buff to be placed at the very end of your skill rotation.

If your damage abilities activate first and then the buff activates afterward, those earlier skills may already be on cooldown when your buff becomes active.

That is why you should always adjust your auto combat skill order based on your class and abilities.

Putting your buffs and setup abilities in the right position can make your overall combat rotation much more effective.

Lumina Saga gives players several different class options, and there is no single class that is perfect for every situation.

If you want the best PvP experience, the Phantom Assassin is arguably the strongest choice. For PvE and solo progression, the Bard is extremely powerful because of its high DPS and range.

The Blade Berserker is excellent for players who want to tank, while the Herbalist is a great choice for anyone who enjoys supporting teams. The Demon Hunter gives you a strong physical ranged option, and the Royal Lancer is one of the best balanced choices for beginners.

Make sure you redeem the available codes, push through the main quest until you reach a level wall, and then use your daily activities and unlocked features to continue progressing.

Also, do not forget about companions and skill order. Choosing the right companion for your needs and arranging your auto combat abilities properly can make a noticeable difference as you continue your journey through Lumina Saga.
