With dozens of characters across multiple universes, figuring out who’s worth building in Multiverse Loot Hunter can feel overwhelming. Some heroes shine early but fall off later, while others scale into absolute monsters in Beast Tide and beyond. This Multiverse Loot Hunter Character tier list breaks everything down into S, A, B, and C tiers, with context for why each character belongs there and what role they play.
Multiverse Loot Hunter Character Tier List (August 2025)
S-Tier
These are the characters you want to prioritize if you have them. They scale incredibly well and can carry you through all stages of the game.
Protagonist (Archer → Human Emperor)
Your main character isn’t just filler — they are your best long-term DPS. Early on, the Desert Eagle turns them into a powerhouse, and once they advance into Human Emperor, they transition smoothly into martial and fighting skills with insane single-target and AoE burst. Think of them as your forever-carry.
Zhao Yun (Free unlock with code 6666)
Zhao Yun is almost unfair for new players. He starts out as a top-tier DPS, but what makes him special is how he transitions into a tanky, high-speed support in the late game. His cooldown talent makes rotations smoother, and he never really falls off.
Scarlet Nightmare & White Phoenix (Summoners → Immortal Lords)
These two are the backbone of the current meta. Once you hit Beast Tide, summons (especially Emerald Dragons) become your main damage source. Together, Scarlet and White Phoenix can maintain six dragons on the field, turning the screen into an AoE storm.
Sun Wukong
The perfect adjutant for your protagonist. His talents directly amplify martial damage, making him an ideal late-game partner when your main character shifts into Human Emperor.
Lionheart
A true tank in every sense. Where semi-tanks like Guan Yu balance damage and durability, Lionheart is all about keeping your team alive with shield bonuses and stacked damage reduction.
A-Tier: Reliable Workhorses
These characters aren’t quite as dominant as S-tier, but they are excellent choices if you don’t have the top picks or want to round out your team.
Guan Yu
The perfect example of a bruiser. Guan Yu can hold the front line while still pumping out solid crit-based DPS. He doesn’t quite replace Lionheart as a full tank, but he brings a nice balance of survivability and damage.
Keith Hartman
Keith is one of the best hybrids in the game. His Cannon Repair skill adds much-needed healing without sacrificing AoE damage. He doesn’t out-damage pure DPS, but he keeps your team alive in longer fights, which makes him valuable in mid-game.
God’s Daughter & Talis Moon Eyes
Both are excellent tanks that revolve around invincibility uptime. Having two tanks may feel like overkill at first, but in higher-level battles, you’ll appreciate the buffer they provide. God’s Daughter is the sturdier option, while Talis Moon Eyes brings more speed.
Chang’e & Kolgard (Adjutants for Summoners)
These two aren’t frontline units but boost your summoners significantly. If you’re running Scarlet and White Phoenix, pairing them with Chang’e and Kolgard is almost mandatory for maximizing summon efficiency.
B-Tier: Decent, But Situational
These characters can carry you for a while but eventually fall behind or get outclassed by stronger options.
Lei Zi
A solid sword-based DPS, Lei Zi does fine in the early and mid-game, but later on, the protagonist completely outpaces him in damage scaling.
Xiaodie
Another DPS-focused pick with darts. Strong in mid-game content where crit stacking matters, but like Lei Zi, she gets overshadowed by core DPS units later.
Nezha
A fast physical attacker who looks promising on paper, but right now, Zhao Yun outclasses him in speed and cooldown potential.
Casters (Zhuge Liang, Zixia, etc.)
These units are strong in raw spell damage, but their slow speed holds them back. They can be fun to experiment with, but in the current patch, physical and summoner teams are simply more reliable.
C-Tier: Niche or Fun Picks
These characters aren’t useless, but they don’t hold up well if you’re aiming for efficient progression.
Lu Bu
A lifesteal-focused warrior who feels great early on but struggles to survive in late-game content.
Madam Ma
A debuffer with niche uses. Unfortunately, debuffs aren’t strong enough right now to justify her spot in most teams.
Early Archers like Sun Shangxiang
They help clear mobs quickly at low levels, but once crit-stacking and summons take over, they lose value fast.
Recommended Final Team (Current Patch)
If you want a lineup that can take you from early story content all the way into Beast Tide farming, this is the best-balanced setup right now:
- Protagonist (Archer → Human Emperor) with Sun Wukong (adjutant)
- Scarlet Nightmare (Summoner → Immortal Lord) with Chang’e (adjutant)
- White Phoenix (Summoner → Immortal Lord) with Kolgard (adjutant)
- Lionheart (Tank) with Princess Iron Fan (adjutant)
- God’s Daughter (Tank) with Fury Dweller (adjutant)
- Zhao Yun (Flex pick) with Liu Bei (adjutant)
This team gives you two durable tanks, two devastating summoners, and two flexible DPS slots. It balances survival and damage, making it the most consistent comp in the current version.
The most important takeaway is this: Multiverse Loot Hunter is a game of scaling. Early picks like the Desert Eagle and Zhao Yun carry you, but once you unlock summoners and Beast Tide, your focus shifts to sustaining AoE damage with summons. Tanks like Lionheart and God’s Daughter ensure you don’t crumble, while the protagonist remains your main burst option all the way through.v
