Phasmophobia Halloween 2026 Event Guide – Crimson Eye

The Crimson Eye Halloween event has returned to Phasmophobia, bringing Blood Moon weather, Blood Moon Totems, special rewards, and a new round of community and personal goals.

In this guide, I will explain how the 2026 Crimson Eye event works, how to earn Blood Points, what changes during Blood Moon investigations, and which maps are part of the event rotation.

I will also cover all eight event locations and the important mechanics you need to know if you want to complete your goals efficiently and collect the available rewards before the event ends.

Phasmophobia Halloween 2026 Event Guide – Crimson Eye

The 2026 Crimson Eye event runs from October 8 through November 1, 2026.

During the event, the Cult of the Eye has once again transformed several investigation locations with Blood Moon weather and placed mysterious Blood Moon Totems throughout the affected maps.

You can participate by selecting the event’s active maps from the Map Board and completing investigations.

How the Crimson Eye Event Works

The event revolves around two progression tracks:

  • Personal Goal
  • Community Goal

You contribute to both by earning Blood Points during investigations.

The event progress can be viewed through the Event Board in the warehouse.

The Event Board lets you check the event’s dates, your current progress, community progress, and the rewards associated with the goals.

Blood Moon Totems

Blood Moon Totems are one of the main mechanics of the Crimson Eye event.

These red-glowing Totems can appear at fixed possible locations throughout the event maps.

Your job is simple: find them and banish them.

How to Banish a Blood Moon Totem

When you find one:

  1. Walk up to the Blood Moon Totem.
  2. Use your Interact button.
  3. The Totem disappears.
  4. You receive 2 Blood Points.

Each map has several possible Totem locations, so learning the layouts can make your event farming much faster.

How to Earn Blood Points

Blood Points are the main event currency and contribute toward both your Personal Goal and the Community Goal.

There are three main ways to earn them.

Banish a Blood Moon Totem

Each Totem you banish gives:

2 Blood Points

This makes finding Totems one of the easiest ways to increase your event progress.

Complete an Optional Objective

Successfully completing an optional investigation objective gives:

3 Blood Points

So whenever you can safely complete an optional objective, it’s worth doing.

Correctly Identify the Ghost

Correctly identifying the ghost gives:

10 Blood Points

This is the largest basic Blood Point reward, so correctly identifying the ghost should always be a priority.

Difficulty Bonus

Correctly identifying the ghost can also provide additional Blood Points based on your contract’s reward multiplier.

The multiplier is rounded down when converted into additional Blood Points.

For example, if your contract has an x4.00 reward multiplier, you receive an additional 4 Blood Points.

However, contracts with a reward multiplier below x1.00 do not award Blood Points.

This means higher-difficulty contracts can be more rewarding if you are confident in your ghost identification skills.

Blood Moon Effects

The Blood Moon isn’t just visual decoration.

When Blood Moon weather is active, investigations become more dangerous because the ghosts receive several advantages.

The event modifiers include:

Ghost Speed

Ghosts move 15% faster during hunts.

This makes hunts more dangerous, especially if you’re used to relying on standard ghost speeds to reach hiding spots.

Sanity Drain

Passive sanity drain is increased by 100%.

In other words, your normal passive sanity drain is effectively doubled while the Blood Moon is active.

You will therefore reach dangerous sanity levels much faster than during a normal investigation.

More Ghost Events

Ghost events happen more frequently during Blood Moon investigations.

This can make the investigation feel much more active and unpredictable.

It can also provide additional opportunities to observe ghost behavior if you’re confident enough to stay inside.

Contract Reward Bonus

Successful investigations receive a 10% contract reward bonus while Blood Moon weather is active.

This bonus applies to normal contract rewards.

It does not increase the Blood Points you receive.

Which Maps Are in the Crimson Eye Event?

The 2026 Crimson Eye event features eight locations.

The complete event map pool is:

  • 6 Tanglewood Drive
  • 42 Edgefield Road
  • Grafton Farmhouse
  • 13 Willow Street
  • Bleasdale Farmhouse
  • Point Hope
  • Camp Woodwind
  • Nell’s Diner

Four of these maps are active at a time and rotate daily.

How to Find Active Event Maps

You don’t need to guess which maps are currently part of the event.

Open the Map Board and look for the red moon icon.

The red moon icon identifies locations currently affected by the Crimson Eye event.

Active event maps automatically have Blood Moon weather, making them the primary locations for earning Blood Points.

6 Tanglewood Drive

6 Tanglewood Drive is one of the featured Crimson Eye locations.

Because Totems appear at fixed possible locations, learning the Tanglewood layout can help you quickly check the important areas before or during your investigation.

When Tanglewood is active, remember that the Blood Moon modifiers are also active, so sanity management and hunt preparation are more important than during a normal contract.

42 Edgefield Road

42 Edgefield Road is another location included in the Crimson Eye event pool.

As with the other event maps, Blood Moon weather is guaranteed when the map is active for the event.

If you’re farming Blood Points, learn the possible Totem locations and combine your Totem checks with your normal ghost investigation rather than wasting time making unnecessary trips through the house.

Grafton Farmhouse

Grafton Farmhouse is also part of the event rotation.

The larger layout means efficient movement can be particularly helpful when you’re looking for Totems while simultaneously collecting evidence.

Don’t forget that the increased sanity drain makes longer investigations more dangerous, so you should avoid spending unnecessary time inside once you’ve completed your objectives.

13 Willow Street

13 Willow Street is included among the eight Crimson Eye event locations.

When it is active, you can find Blood Moon Totems at their possible fixed locations and earn Blood Points by interacting with them.

Willow can also be useful for players who are comfortable with its layout and want to combine ghost identification with Totem hunting.

Bleasdale Farmhouse

Bleasdale Farmhouse is another event location.

The Blood Moon effects apply here just like the other active maps, meaning ghosts are faster during hunts and your sanity drains significantly faster.

Keep your escape routes and hiding options in mind before spending too much time searching for Totems.

Point Hope

Point Hope is part of the Crimson Eye event, but there is an important limitation:

Only the Standard layout is included.

If you’re specifically farming the event, make sure you’re selecting the appropriate Point Hope layout rather than assuming every version of the location counts.

Camp Woodwind

Camp Woodwind is one of the outdoor locations included in the event pool.

Its open layout can change how you approach both ghost investigations and Totem hunting.

You still need to be careful during hunts because the Blood Moon’s 15% ghost speed increase applies here as well.

Nell’s Diner

Nell’s Diner completes the eight-map Crimson Eye event pool.

Like the other event locations, it can become one of the four active maps during the daily rotation.

When it is active, look for the red moon icon on the Map Board and take advantage of the guaranteed Blood Moon weather and event progression opportunities.

Crimson Eye Rewards

The Crimson Eye event offers rewards for participating in both the Personal and Community progression systems.

The available reward categories include:

  • ID cards
  • Customisation items
  • Crimson Eye trophy upgrades
  • Other event rewards

Returning Ghost Hunters can continue upgrading their existing Crimson Eye trophy, while players experiencing the event for the first time can begin building their own collection of event rewards.

Make sure you continue contributing Blood Points throughout the event if you want to unlock as many rewards as possible.

Best Way to Farm Blood Points

If your main goal is completing the event quickly, I recommend combining several objectives into the same investigation.

Start by checking the possible Totem locations while you’re investigating the map.

Then focus on identifying the ghost correctly, because the ghost identification provides 10 Blood Points, which is significantly more than a single Totem.

Complete optional objectives whenever they are safe and practical, since each one gives another 3 Blood Points.

Finally, higher reward multipliers can provide additional Blood Points after a successful ghost identification, so higher-difficulty contracts can be worthwhile if you’re confident in your ability to survive and identify the ghost.

Blood Moon Survival Tips

The Blood Moon makes investigations more dangerous, so I recommend adjusting your usual strategy.

Watch Your Sanity

Your passive sanity drain is doubled, so don’t rely on the same timing you would use during a normal investigation.

Keep an eye on your sanity and plan your investigation accordingly.

Prepare for Faster Hunts

Ghosts move 15% faster during Blood Moon hunts.

Know your hiding spots and escape routes before a hunt begins.

Don’t Stay Inside Unnecessarily

Totem hunting is important, but you don’t need to spend excessive amounts of time inside once you’ve completed what you need.

The longer you remain in an investigation with rapidly draining sanity, the more opportunities the ghost has to start a dangerous hunt.

Combine Objectives

Try to search for Totems while completing your normal investigation.

This is much more efficient than treating Totem hunting as an entirely separate activity.

Prioritize Ghost Identification

A correct ghost identification gives 10 Blood Points, making it one of the most valuable things you can accomplish during a contract.

If you’re confident in your evidence and identification, don’t throw away a successful investigation just for a few extra Totems.

Crimson Eye Event Map List

For a quick reference, the eight event locations are:

  1. 6 Tanglewood Drive
  2. 42 Edgefield Road
  3. Grafton Farmhouse
  4. 13 Willow Street
  5. Bleasdale Farmhouse
  6. Point Hope — Standard layout
  7. Camp Woodwind
  8. Nell’s Diner

Four locations are active at a time and rotate daily.

Look for the red moon icon on the Map Board to identify them.

Final Thoughts

The 2026 Crimson Eye event is a mixture of normal ghost investigations and event-specific Totem hunting. The key to progressing quickly is understanding how Blood Points work and taking advantage of every opportunity to earn them.

My main recommendation is to prioritize correct ghost identification, collect Blood Moon Totems whenever you find them, and complete optional objectives when they are safe. At the same time, don’t forget that Blood Moon investigations are significantly more dangerous because of the increased sanity drain and faster ghosts.

With eight event maps rotating throughout the event, learning the Totem locations and becoming familiar with the active maps will make it much easier to complete your Personal Goal and contribute toward the Community Goal before the Crimson Eye event ends.
