If you’ve just started playing Re:AOPG and have absolutely no idea what you’re supposed to do first, don’t worry — the game throws a lot at you pretty quickly.
There are codes to redeem, NPCs you need to find, fighting styles to unlock, money to spend, quests to stack, islands to travel between, and eventually you’ll be looking at things like Final Dragon and end-game builds.
That can make the early game feel a little messy.
So in this guide, I’m going to walk you through the progression in the order I’d recommend actually doing it. We’ll start with the free rewards and beginner setup, then move into the important NPCs and upgrades, before getting into the better builds and how Final Dragon is obtained.
The goal here is simple: start with nothing and work your way toward a strong end-game setup without wasting your early resources.
Re AOPG Beginner Guide – Trello, Best Builds, Quest, NPC
Before doing anything else, redeem every currently working code you have access to.
This is easily one of the best things you can do at the beginning because the rewards give you a huge head start with resources such as Gems and Belly.
You should also join the Boss Studios group.
There is a group reward available, so there really isn’t much reason to skip it. If you’re already in the group, you can simply move on to redeeming the codes.
One important thing to remember after using codes is the Gem cap.
Codes can apparently bypass the normal Gem limit, so if you redeem enough codes to go over your regular cap, don’t immediately leave the game. Leaving can reset your Gem cap to 30, which can cause any Gems above the normal limit to be deleted.
So the safe approach is:
- Join the Boss Studios group.
- Redeem all available working codes.
- Collect your rewards.
- Spend or manage the excess resources before leaving if you’re above the normal Gem cap.
That little detail can save you from losing free Gems you just earned.
Re:AOPG Beginner Progression – What to Do First
Once your codes are done, don’t start randomly spending all your Belly.
There are a few purchases that are much more useful early on, especially if you’re starting from scratch.
The first major thing I’d focus on is getting Quest Scrolls.
Head over to the starter island and find Exuri Senpai. Talk to the NPC and you’ll be able to purchase Quest Scrolls.
These might not look exciting at first, but they’re one of the most useful beginner items in the game.
Why Quest Scrolls Matter
Quest Scrolls allow you to take on multiple quests at the same time.
That becomes extremely useful when you’re trying to level up and grind efficiently because you aren’t constantly running back and forth just to pick up another quest.
You can hold multiple scrolls, so if you have enough Belly, it’s worth stocking up.
The total cost can become quite expensive, but this is another reason why those early codes are so useful. Instead of slowly saving millions from scratch, your code rewards can help you get this setup much faster.
If you’re a new player, Quest Scrolls should be one of your first priorities.
Get Black Leg as Early as Possible
After sorting out your quests, your next goal should be getting Black Leg.
Look for the Trezo NPC and speak with him.
The first version costs around 500,000 Belly.
Once you’ve unlocked and equipped it, you can return to Trezo for the upgraded version, which costs around 20 million Belly.
The upgraded version gives you a much stronger version of the fighting style and is especially useful if you haven’t managed to get a great Devil Fruit yet.
That’s why I’d recommend picking this up even if you’re planning to use a fruit build later.
It gives you something reliable to fall back on while you’re progressing.
Claim Your Daily Spin
While you’re running around completing these early steps, don’t forget about your daily spin.
It’s easy to overlook because you’re busy doing all the other beginner tasks, but the spin can provide useful rewards, including temporary boosts.
One of the examples shown in the guide is a 15-minute Double Belly boost.
Whenever you get a money multiplier like this, try to use it while you’re actively farming rather than letting the timer run while you’re standing around.
It’s a small thing, but these boosts add up over time.
Buy the Island Tracker
Another early purchase that I strongly recommend is the Island Tracker.
You can buy it from the Traveling Merchant for around 50,000 Belly.
This item is much more useful than its price makes it sound.
Re:AOPG has multiple islands, and when you’re progressing through the game, knowing where you’re supposed to go next saves a lot of unnecessary traveling.
The Island Tracker basically gives you a green navigation line that points you toward the island you need to reach.
Instead of guessing where you’re supposed to sail, you can simply follow the tracker.
For a new player, that’s a huge quality-of-life upgrade.
So your early spending should roughly look like:
- Quest Scrolls
- Black Leg
- Island Tracker
- Then spend remaining Belly on progression or rerolls
Don’t blow all your money on random things just because you can afford them.
The Early Fighting Style Upgrade Is Worth It
Once you’ve got the basic version of Black Leg, work toward the upgraded version.
The first purchase is around 500K Belly, while the upgraded version costs around 20M Belly.
Yes, 20 million sounds ridiculous when you’re new.
But once you’ve used the early codes and started stacking quests, it becomes much more realistic to reach that amount.
The upgraded fighting style also gives you access to things like Double Jump, making movement and exploration considerably easier.
There’s another important reason to have a strong fighting style early:
You aren’t completely dependent on getting a good fruit.
If your fruit rolls aren’t great, your melee setup can still carry you through a lot of your progression.
Re:AOPG Noob to Pro Progression
This is where I’d recommend slowing down and actually following a progression path instead of constantly changing your setup.
Early game is mostly about building your foundation.
Get your quests sorted, unlock your basic fighting style, get your movement and navigation tools, and then start pushing through the islands.
You don’t need the strongest possible build immediately.
In fact, trying to chase an end-game build too early can waste a lot of time and resources.
Think of your progression in three stages:
Early game: Get a reliable fruit or fighting style and build up your basic stats.
Mid game: Start upgrading your damage and farming efficiency while moving through the seas.
End game: Start targeting the stronger fruits, swords and specialized builds.
If you’re AFK grinding, your priorities are slightly different. You want a setup that lets you consistently farm without needing to constantly switch equipment or manually optimize every fight.
The important part is simply to keep progressing rather than sitting at one island forever trying to perfect your stats.
Best Early-Game Fruit – Akachi or Dark V2
If you’re wondering what you should actually use during the early game, two recommendations from the guide are:
- Akachi
- Dark V2
Either one can give you a strong starting point while you’re still working through the earlier content.
Don’t worry too much about having the perfect end-game fruit at this stage.
Your goal is to have something that makes grinding comfortable.
Once you’ve progressed further, you can start worrying about replacing your early-game setup.
Best Mid-Game Fruit – Serpent
Once you’re into the mid game, the recommended option changes to Serpent.
This is the point where your build starts becoming more important because enemies become stronger and you’ll want better damage and farming efficiency.
Instead of constantly rerolling every time you see something slightly better, focus on getting a setup that can comfortably carry you through your current content.
Save your resources for meaningful upgrades.
Best End-Game Builds in Re:AOPG
Once you reach the end game, you have considerably more freedom with your build.
The guide recommends a few main directions.
Final Dragon / Melee Build
If you want to focus on melee combat, Final Dragon paired with a strong melee setup is one of the recommended end-game directions.
This is a great choice if you enjoy getting up close to enemies and building around raw combat power.
Sword Build With Vamp
If swords are more your thing, another recommended end-game option is a Sword + Vamp build.
This gives sword-focused players a completely different route from the melee setup.
So don’t feel like you have to use the exact same build as everyone else.
If you already enjoy sword gameplay, it makes more sense to build around that rather than forcing yourself into a fruit setup you don’t enjoy.
Best Free-to-Play Builds
For players who aren’t spending Robux, there are also recommended free-to-play setups.
The guide highlights separate builds for:
- Fruit
- Melee
- Sword
The important thing here is that being free-to-play doesn’t mean you can’t make a strong build.
You simply need to be more careful about where you’re putting your resources.
I’d recommend choosing one main direction rather than trying to max fruit, melee and sword simultaneously.
Spreading everything out too early can leave you with three mediocre options instead of one genuinely strong setup.
How to Get Frost Bazooka
If you’re looking for Frost Bazooka, you’ll need to participate in the Summer Raid at Summer Beach in the First Sea.
The weapon comes from the event chests.
There’s an important detail here that is easy to miss:
You need to open the chest outside the raid.
If you only focus on the raid itself and don’t open the appropriate chest outside it, you won’t have the chance to obtain Frost Bazooka.
The guide puts the drop chance at around 5%, so don’t expect to get it immediately.
It’s a grind.
If you don’t get it on your first few attempts, that’s completely normal.
How to Get Final Dragon in Re:AOPG
Now we get to the part a lot of players are interested in: Final Dragon.
You can’t simply walk into a normal shop and buy it.
Final Dragon is obtained through the Golden Pirate Gacha.
The gacha NPC is located inside the Gold Heist Raid.
Where Is the Gold Heist Raid?
The location depends on which sea you’re in.
First Sea:
Gold Heist Raid is located at Talaport Island.
Second Sea:
Gold Heist Raid is located at Dawn Island.
Once you reach the appropriate location, you’ll need the required items before you can use the Golden Pirate Gacha.
Requirements for the Golden Pirate Gacha
There are two important items you need:
- Billionaire’s Ticket
- Golden Dice
Both are obtained from the Gold Heist Golem boss.
The drop rates mentioned in the guide are different depending on the sea.
Billionaire’s Ticket Drop Rate
In the First Sea, the Billionaire’s Ticket has approximately a 1% drop chance.
In the Second Sea, the chance increases to approximately 2.5%.
Golden Dice Drop Rate
The Golden Dice is even rarer.
In the First Sea, the stated chance is approximately 0.5%.
In the Second Sea, it’s approximately 1.5%.
So if these items aren’t dropping quickly, don’t assume you’re doing something wrong.
They’re simply rare drops.
Keep farming the Gold Heist Golem until you eventually get both required items.
How the Golden Pirate Gacha Works
Once you have both the Billionaire’s Ticket and Golden Dice, head inside the Gold Heist Raid and speak to the Golden Pirate NPC.
That’s where you’ll be able to access the gacha.
Each roll costs 5,000 Golden Ships.
You can farm Golden Ships from the mobs inside the Gold Heist Raid.
And here’s the painful part:
Final Dragon has an approximately 0.5% chance of being obtained from the roll.
So getting the two rare materials isn’t the end of the grind.
You then need to collect enough Golden Ships and keep rolling until Final Dragon finally appears.
It can take a while, so don’t go into this expecting to get it after a couple of rolls.
The biggest piece of advice I’d give a new Re:AOPG player is don’t rush the end game before you’ve built a good farming foundation.
Those early codes are there for a reason. Use the free resources to get your Quest Scrolls, basic fighting style, Island Tracker and other important beginner upgrades.
After that, just keep progressing.
Also, don’t panic if you don’t immediately get the fruit or weapon you’re aiming for. Re:AOPG has plenty of RNG, and some of the strongest items have extremely low drop rates.
Get a setup that’s good enough to farm efficiently, then use that setup to work toward the setup you actually want.
And if Final Dragon is your goal, be prepared for a proper grind. You need the rare materials, the Golden Ships, and then enough luck to hit a roughly 0.5% gacha chance. It’s definitely not something you should expect to get instantly.
But once you understand the progression, the game becomes much easier to navigate.
Redeem your codes, stack your quests, get your early upgrades, choose a build, keep progressing through the seas, and then start targeting the end-game gear.
That’s the basic path from a fresh character to a serious Re:AOPG player.
