If you’ve started getting serious about your RE:AOPG build, you’ve probably noticed that artifacts can make a surprisingly big difference. They aren’t just another item sitting in your inventory either. The right artifact can improve your damage, survivability, mobility, or even make farming much more convenient.
So, if you’re wondering how to get Artifact Chests, where to exchange for them, and which artifacts are actually worth chasing, this guide has you covered.
I’ll keep things practical here rather than throwing a huge list of stats at you. Some artifacts are great for damage, some are mainly utility items, and one in particular completely changes how a strong fruit build performs.
RE:AOPG Artifact Guide – How to Get Artifact Chests
Artifacts are special abilities that provide your character with additional effects.
Depending on the artifact, you can get benefits such as:
- Increased damage
- Critical damage
- Damage reduction
- Defense boosts
- Health regeneration
- Burn damage
- Invisibility
- Teleportation
- Increased stamina
Basically, think of artifacts as another layer of customization for your build.
If you’re already running a strong fruit, sword, or melee setup, adding the right artifact can push your overall performance much further.
How to Get Artifact Chests in RE:AOPG
Before worrying about individual artifacts, you need to know where the Artifact Chests come from.
There are two main methods highlighted in the guide.
Method 1: Summer Beach Raid
Head over to Summer Beach Island in the First Sea.
You’ll find the relevant Lifeguard NPC there. The NPC allows you to exchange Summer Points earned from the Summer Beach Raid for various rewards, including Artifact Chests.
So if you’re already farming the Summer event, don’t let those points sit around.
Check the exchange shop and use your event currency toward Artifact Chests when they’re available.
Method 2: Ice Island Merchant
The other option is Ice Island.
Once you’re there, look for the Merchant NPC.
This merchant uses event tokens as currency, allowing you to exchange them for different rewards, including Artifact Chests.
This gives you another way to work toward artifacts instead of relying entirely on the Summer Beach exchange.
So, in simple terms:
Summer Beach → Summer Points → Artifact Chest
or
Ice Island → Event Tokens → Artifact Chest
Once you’ve got a chest, the artifact itself comes down to what you pull.
How Many Artifacts Are Available?
According to the guide, there are several artifacts available in the current version, with most of them coming from Artifact Chests.
However, there’s one major exception.
Drums of Liberation is treated differently and is the standout artifact of the group.
That’s why you shouldn’t assume that every artifact has the same acquisition method.
Pinpoint Artifact — Best for Critical Damage
Let’s start with Pinpoint, because this is one of the artifacts you’ll definitely want to know about if you’re focused on damage.
Pinpoint gives you a massive critical-damage effect.
The guide demonstrates a 10x damage multiplier compared with the base damage when the effect triggers.
That’s obviously a huge jump.
If you’re already running a high-damage build, Pinpoint can become extremely valuable because you’re multiplying damage that is already high.
For that reason, I’d consider Pinpoint one of the first artifacts worth chasing if your main priority is raw damage output.
Insightly Rage — Damage & Defense Boost
Insightly Rage is a more flexible artifact.
Unlike some passive effects, it can be activated from your inventory and has a cooldown of around 10 seconds.
When activated, it provides both:
- Damage
- Defense
So this is a nice option if you don’t have Pinpoint yet and want something that helps both your offensive and defensive performance.
It’s not necessarily the artifact I’d build my entire end-game setup around, but for players still progressing, it’s a useful pickup.
Fire Body — Burn Damage
Next up is Fire Body.
This artifact focuses on burn damage rather than directly increasing your entire build’s damage.
The guide describes it as providing approximately 25% burn damage, with the effect dealing a percentage of the user’s damage over a period of time.
That makes it more interesting for players who want additional damage layered onto their attacks.
It’s also a better damage-oriented option than Insightly Rage if you’re specifically looking for extra offensive pressure.
The important distinction is that Fire Body isn’t simply increasing every attack by a massive multiplier. Instead, it adds a burn effect that continues dealing damage.
Dimensional Rift — The Ultimate Travel Artifact
Now we get to one of the most convenient artifacts in the game.
Dimensional Rift is basically the artifact for anyone who hates traveling between islands.
Instead of sailing around or spending ages trying to reach another location, you can use Dimensional Rift to teleport where you need to go.
Even better, the guide explains that it can be used to travel between different seas.
That makes this artifact incredibly useful for:
- Questing
- Farming
- Moving between islands
- Traveling to raid locations
- Switching between seas
It might not give you the biggest damage increase, but its quality-of-life value is enormous.
If you’re constantly moving around the map, you’ll appreciate this one very quickly.
Dismiss Artifact — Temporary Invisibility
Dismiss gives you an interesting defensive utility effect.
When you attack an NPC, the artifact can provide invisibility for around 8 seconds, according to the guide.
The stated chance associated with the effect is approximately 25%.
The basic idea is simple:
You attack an NPC or boss → the effect activates → you become invisible temporarily.
It isn’t necessarily the first artifact I’d recommend for a damage-focused player, but it can be useful if you’re having trouble surviving while farming.
Self-Healing Artifact — Emergency Recovery
The Self-Healing artifact is exactly what its name suggests.
When your health gets low, the artifact can restore your HP.
The guide demonstrates the effect activating when the player’s health drops sufficiently, restoring them back toward maximum health.
This is mainly a survivability option.
If you’re already strong enough to destroy everything before it can touch you, you probably won’t get as much value from it.
But for players who are still building their stats, having an emergency healing effect can save you from repeatedly dying during difficult content.
Drums of Liberation — The Best Artifact
Now for the big one.
If you’re looking at artifacts specifically because you want the strongest possible fruit build, this is the artifact you should know about.
Drums of Liberation is described in the guide as providing:
- 3x fruit damage
- 30% damage reduction
- 3x stamina
- 50% health regeneration
That’s an absurd combination.
You’re not getting just one offensive effect.
You’re getting increased fruit damage and damage reduction and additional stamina and health regeneration.
That is why the guide puts Drums of Liberation above the other artifacts.
Why Drums of Liberation Is So Strong
The biggest selling point is the 3x fruit damage.
If your entire build is centered around fruit damage, multiplying that damage by three is enormous.
Then you add 30% damage reduction and 50% health regeneration.
Suddenly, you’re not just hitting harder.
You’re also considerably harder to kill.
The extra stamina is another huge bonus because fruit builds often depend heavily on abilities and movement.
So if you’re building around Final Gear 5, this artifact becomes especially important.
How to Get Drums of Liberation
This is where things get a little different from the other artifacts.
According to the guide, Drums of Liberation wasn’t yet freely obtainable in RE:AOPG at the time of the video.
The pay-to-win route was through the Sun God Bundle.
For free-to-play players, the recommendation was to wait for the Third Sea and a future method of obtaining it.
So don’t waste your time trying to find a normal Artifact Chest that drops Drums of Liberation if the current version you’re playing doesn’t have that acquisition method enabled.
Best Artifacts for Different Builds
Not everyone needs the same artifact.
Here’s how I’d look at them based on their purpose.
Best for Fruit Damage
Drums of Liberation
If you’re running a high-end fruit build, this is the obvious long-term target.
Best for Critical Damage
Pinpoint
The huge critical multiplier makes this a very attractive offensive artifact.
Best for General Damage
Fire Body
The additional burn effect gives you extra damage on top of your normal attacks.
Best for Damage + Defense
Insightly Rage
It’s a good middle-ground option because it improves both offense and defense.
Best for Travel
Dimensional Rift
Nothing else on this list comes close to its convenience for traveling around the map.
Best for Survival
Self-Healing
If you’re dying while farming difficult NPCs or bosses, the emergency HP restoration can be very useful.
Best Utility/Defensive Effect
Dismiss
The temporary invisibility can give you a useful window to avoid enemies after triggering the effect.
RE:AOPG Artifact Tier List
If I were simplifying the guide into a quick ranking, I’d look at it like this:
| Tier | Artifact | Main Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| S | Drums of Liberation | Fruit damage + defense + stamina + healing |
| S | Pinpoint | Massive critical damage |
| A | Fire Body | Additional burn damage |
| A | Insightly Rage | Damage + defense |
| A | Dimensional Rift | Instant travel and convenience |
| B | Self-Healing | Emergency HP recovery |
| B | Dismiss | Temporary invisibility |
The exact ranking can change depending on what build you’re running, though.
For example, Dimensional Rift isn’t a damage artifact, but if you’re constantly traveling around RE:AOPG, you may personally get more use from it than an offensive artifact.
Artifacts are one of those systems in RE:AOPG that can look complicated at first, but once you understand what each one actually does, it’s pretty straightforward.
For most players, Pinpoint is one of the most exciting chest rewards because of its huge critical-damage potential. Fire Body and Insightly Rage are also useful if you’re still developing your build.
Dimensional Rift is the convenience pick, while Self-Healing and Dismiss are more defensive or utility-focused.
But if we’re talking about the ultimate fruit-build artifact, Drums of Liberation is in a completely different league. The combination of 3x fruit damage, 30% damage reduction, 3x stamina, and 50% health regeneration makes it the clear long-term target for players chasing maximum fruit performance.
For now, keep farming those event currencies and opening your Artifact Chests. You never know when that one pull you’ve been waiting for is going to finally drop.
