Starting Rintama High for the first time can feel a little confusing because the game doesn’t explain every feature in detail. Fortunately, the basics are actually very easy to understand once you know where everything is located. Instead of rushing into fights or wandering around the city, spend a few minutes learning the interface and important locations first. It will make your first few hours much smoother.

Active Rintama High Codes
Codes are redeemed directly from your in-game phone rather than through a separate menu.
To redeem them:
- Open your phone.
- Navigate to the Codes section.
- Enter an active code exactly as written.
- Claim your rewards.
Developers frequently release new codes after updates or milestones, so it’s worth checking regularly for free rewards.
Understanding Your Phone
The phone is one of the most important tools in Rintama High. You’ll use it constantly while playing, so it’s worth learning every section.
On PC, hold Tab to open your phone. Mobile players simply use the phone button on the left side of the screen.
Inside the phone you’ll find several useful menus.
Settings
The Settings menu lets you customize your game experience.
You can:
- Adjust graphics.
- Change various gameplay settings.
- Modify interface options.
- Enable performance improvements.
- Turn on visual filters.
One of the optimization filters noticeably changes the game’s appearance while helping performance. If your device struggles with frame rate, experimenting with these settings can make a big difference without sacrificing too much visual quality.
Home Screen
The Home menu acts as the main hub for your phone.
From here you can quickly access the rest of the available applications instead of searching around different menus.
Web Browser
The in-game browser is available through your phone and is designed to support future features and community content.
While it isn’t heavily used during your first few hours, it’s another feature worth knowing exists.
Roles
The Roles menu displays your current class or role inside the game.
As you continue progressing through Rintama High, this section becomes more useful for keeping track of your character.
Camera
The Camera app currently isn’t fully functional.
The developers have already mentioned that this feature is planned for future updates, so don’t worry if it doesn’t do much right now.
Contacts
Adding other players is straightforward.
Simply enter another player’s phone number inside the Contacts section to add them.
This is the easiest way to stay connected with friends when you’re playing together.
Clothing
If you spent a long time creating your character, you probably noticed just how detailed the customization system is.
However, you don’t always have to build an outfit piece by piece.
The Clothing menu includes several preset outfits that can instantly change your appearance.
These presets are perfect if:
- You want a quick makeover.
- You don’t enjoy spending time designing outfits.
- You simply want a fresh look before heading back into the city.
Personally, this is one of my favorite quality-of-life features because you can completely change your style in seconds instead of rebuilding your character from scratch every time.
Map
The Map helps you navigate around Rintama High.
Although the city isn’t massive, it has enough streets and buildings that new players can easily become lost.
Checking the map regularly makes finding important NPCs much easier during your first few hours.
Character Customization
One of Rintama High’s strongest features is its character creator.
There are an incredible number of customization options available, allowing nearly everyone to create a unique appearance.
The interface is also extremely smooth compared to many other Roblox roleplay games. Changing hairstyles, clothing, accessories, and other cosmetic features feels fast and intuitive.
If you enjoy creating unique characters, you’ll probably spend quite a bit of time here before even beginning the main gameplay.
Skateboarding
Many new players ask how to use a skateboard because the game never clearly explains it.
Fortunately, it’s very simple.
To skateboard on PC:
- Start running.
- Hold Z.
- Press Shift while moving.
Once you get used to the controls, skateboarding becomes one of the fastest ways to move around town.
It’s also much more enjoyable than simply sprinting everywhere, especially when you’re frequently traveling between NPCs.
Finding the Private Server NPC
One of the most useful locations for beginners is where you can access private servers.
Starting from the school:
- Leave the school building.
- Turn right.
- Walk down the road.
- Go down the staircase.
- Turn left.
- Continue forward.
- Turn right.
- Turn right once more.
This area contains several important NPCs, making it worth remembering even if you’re not interested in private servers immediately.
The city itself isn’t overly large, so after visiting this location a few times you’ll probably remember the route without needing the map.
Jobs
Near the private server area you’ll find several NPCs offering different jobs.
Jobs provide another activity outside of attending school or fighting.
While early jobs are fairly straightforward, they help introduce you to different systems within the game and give you more reasons to explore the city.
Whenever you see an NPC standing around this district, it’s worth interacting with them because many provide useful services or gameplay features.
Fighting Styles
Fighting Styles determine your combat abilities.
At launch there are only a small number of styles available.
Currently you’ll find:
- Basic Style
- Two additional Fighting Styles
Since the selection is still fairly limited, beginners shouldn’t stress too much over choosing the perfect one.
The Basic Style performs well enough to help you learn combat fundamentals before investing in something more advanced.
As future updates arrive, expect additional styles with unique movesets and abilities.
Combat Tips
One thing you’ll notice very quickly is that players don’t always wait for a fair fight.
It’s common to be attacked while exploring or simply talking to NPCs.
This is completely normal.
Don’t become frustrated if you get knocked out during your first few hours.
Instead:
- Learn the map.
- Understand your movement.
- Practice blocking and attacking.
- Return once you’re more comfortable with combat.
Almost every experienced player has been jumped at least once while learning the game.
School Activities
Although the school is the centerpiece of Rintama High, don’t feel pressured to immediately learn every classroom activity.
Much of the school gameplay is designed to be discovered naturally while playing.
Exploring the campus yourself is honestly part of the fun, and figuring things out little by little makes the experience feel much more rewarding than following every step from a guide.
Exploring the City
The city strikes a nice balance between size and accessibility.
It’s large enough to feel like a living world but compact enough that traveling between important locations doesn’t become tedious.
After spending an hour or two exploring, you’ll likely know where most important NPCs, buildings, and roads are located without needing to constantly open the map.
That pacing makes exploration feel rewarding instead of overwhelming.
Rintama High Compared to Gakkuran
Many players naturally compare Rintama High with Gakkuran.
Right now, each game excels in different areas.
Combat
Gakkuran currently has slightly more polished fighting mechanics, making battles feel refined and responsive.
Character Customization
Rintama High easily stands out here.
The customization system is incredibly flexible, allowing players to create almost any style they can imagine.
The interface feels smooth, intuitive, and far more detailed than what many Roblox roleplay games offer.
Overall Experience
Outside of combat, Rintama High delivers an impressive overall package.
Between the city design, customization, quality-of-life features, and immersive atmosphere, there’s already plenty to enjoy even while the game continues receiving updates.
Future content will likely expand the combat system even further, making this comparison even more interesting over time.
Beginner Tips
- Spend your first few minutes exploring your phone instead of immediately running around the city.
- Adjust graphics and optimization settings if your game isn’t running smoothly.
- Redeem every available code before starting.
- Use the map frequently until you memorize important locations.
- Learn skateboarding early because it makes traveling significantly faster.
- Don’t worry too much about Fighting Styles at the beginning since the Basic Style is perfectly usable.
- Visit NPCs whenever you discover a new area because many provide important features.
- Expect to lose a few fights while learning—it’s simply part of the experience.
- Take time exploring instead of rushing through every feature. Rintama High is much more enjoyable when you gradually discover its systems rather than trying to master everything in your first session.
Rintama High does an excellent job blending school life, roleplay, exploration, character customization, and combat into a single experience. While the game may seem overwhelming at first, most of its systems are surprisingly straightforward once you spend a little time with them.
If I could give one piece of advice after spending time learning the game, it would be this: don’t rush. Customize your character, skate around the city, meet NPCs, experiment with different features, and enjoy discovering what each district has to offer. The game is at its best when you allow yourself to explore naturally instead of trying to optimize every minute. Before long, the map will feel familiar, the controls will become second nature, and you’ll be ready for whatever future updates bring to Rintama High.
