The Veil-O-Ween Halloween event has arrived in The Veil, bringing new enemies, challenging bosses, special quests, and plenty of Candy to collect. In this guide, I will show you how to progress through the event, activate all three statues, unlock the Haunted Keep, and fight your way through its different waves.
First, we need to collect Candy and complete the statue quest to unlock the Haunted Keep. After that, we can enter the wave-based challenge, defeat Halloween enemies, and fight several bosses, including the Haunted Tree and The Lord, who has a massive 75,000 HP. There is quite a lot to do, so let’s go through everything step by step.
I also tried progressing through the Haunted Keep solo, and trust me, the later waves can take a long time. The enemies get stronger, the bosses become more difficult, and you need to manage your health, stamina, summons, and potions carefully. So, let’s get started with the complete Veil-O-Ween event progression guide!
How to Start the Veil-O-Ween Halloween Event
To begin the Halloween event in The Veil, we need to progress through the event questline and collect Candy. Our first objective is to find and activate three statues by offering Candy.
While exploring the map, I came across a special pumpkin-like encounter near my base. At first, I thought it was a regular boss because of its health bar, but it turned out to be a special encounter rather than a normal boss fight.
This encounter gave me a good amount of Candy, which helped me progress through the event much faster. However, you should not depend on this particular encounter always appearing. Explore the map and defeat available Halloween enemies to collect more Candy.
How to Farm Candy Fast in The Veil
Candy is one of the most important resources during the Veil-O-Ween event. We need it to activate the three statues and unlock access to the Haunted Keep.
I collected enough Candy to activate the statues, but there was another problem: entering the Haunted Keep required 100 Candy. After spending Candy on the statues, I had to go back and farm more before I could enter.
Best Ways to Collect Candy
Here are some things you can do to collect Candy during the event:
- Defeat Halloween enemies and collect any Candy they drop.
- Explore the map for special encounters that may reward extra Candy.
- Complete the available event objectives to progress through the questline.
- Check your Candy total before spending it on statues or other event requirements.
- Prepare your potions before entering the Haunted Keep so you do not waste a long run.
One thing I noticed while farming is that Candy drops are not guaranteed. I reached 99 Candy and still needed one more before I could finally enter the Haunted Keep.
Because of this, you might need to defeat several enemies before collecting enough. Keep farming until you reach the required amount, and make sure you have enough left over after completing the statue quest.
How to Activate All Three Halloween Statues
Activating all three statues is an important part of the Veil-O-Ween event progression. We need to find each statue, interact with it, and offer the required Candy.
I traveled around different parts of the map to find all three statues. Some locations can take a little time to reach, so make sure you follow the event objective and check your surroundings carefully.
First Statue
Start by locating the first statue indicated by your event progression. Once you find it, interact with the statue and offer the required Candy.
After the offering is accepted, the statue lights up, confirming that the first part of the objective is complete.
Second Statue
Next, travel to the second statue and repeat the process.
Make sure you have enough Candy before approaching it. Once you interact with the statue and complete the offering, you can move on to the final one.
Third Statue
The third statue is farther away, near the area associated with the clown boss.
I spent some time running across the map before finding the correct location. During this run, the clown boss was not appearing during the daytime, so I could approach the area without fighting it.
Once you find the third statue, offer the required Candy to complete the objective.
After activating all three statues, return to the event quest giver to continue the Halloween questline.
How to Unlock the Haunted Keep
Once all three statues are activated, head back to the event quest giver and interact with the NPC. This progresses the questline and unlocks the next stage of the Halloween event.
However, unlocking the Haunted Keep does not mean we can enter it immediately. We still need to meet the Candy requirement.
Haunted Keep Entry Requirement
To queue for the Haunted Keep, you need 100 Candy.
I discovered this after returning to the NPC and realizing that I had already spent some of my Candy on the three statues. I had to farm additional enemies before I could finally reach the required amount.
Here is what you need to do:
- Activate all three Halloween statues.
- Return to the event quest giver.
- Check the Haunted Keep queue requirement.
- Farm Candy until you have 100.
- Interact with the NPC and queue for the Haunted Keep.
The Haunted Keep is a wave-defense activity where you must defeat enemies and bosses to progress. The early waves are manageable, but things get much harder as you advance.
Haunted Keep Wave Defense Guide
The Haunted Keep is the main challenge in the Veil-O-Ween event. Once inside, we need to survive successive waves of enemies before reaching the final boss.
I entered the Haunted Keep solo, even though the queue supports up to six players. This made the run much more demanding, especially when the number of enemies started increasing.
The early waves were not too difficult, but the activity became increasingly time-consuming as I progressed. Here is what you can expect from the different stages.
Wave 1: Defeat the First Enemies
The first wave introduces the basic wave-defense mechanics. You need to defeat a group of enemies before you can move forward.
I initially had to defeat 30 monsters, and the required number increased as I progressed through the activity.
I used my summons to help clear enemies while attacking them directly. If you are attempting this solo, make good use of your abilities and avoid wasting stamina on unnecessary attacks.
Wave 2: More Enemies to Defeat
The second wave increases the number of enemies you need to eliminate.
One thing I noticed was that enemies sometimes took a while to spawn, which made the run feel slower than expected. The enemies were not particularly difficult at this stage, but the increasing kill requirements meant I had to spend more time clearing each wave.
Keep using your summons and abilities while avoiding situations where too many enemies surround you.
Wave 3: The Reaper Appears
During the next stage, I encountered a new enemy called the Reaper.
This enemy is particularly dangerous because it can summon additional mobs. That means you have to deal with the Reaper itself while also watching out for the enemies it brings into the fight.
I recommend focusing on dangerous enemies instead of allowing summoned mobs to build up. The longer you leave them alive, the more difficult the fight can become.
Wave 4: Prepare for the Boss
As we progress through the waves, the enemies become stronger, and the number of monsters we need to defeat increases.
I continued using summons to deal with groups of enemies while preparing for the next boss encounter.
Before moving forward, check your health, stamina, and available potions. You do not want to enter a boss fight with low health or no resources left to keep yourself alive.
Wave 5: First Boss Fight
Wave 5 introduces the first major boss of the Haunted Keep run.
The boss I encountered had approximately 1,500 HP, making it much easier to defeat than the final event boss.
I used my summons to deal damage while attacking the boss myself. With enough damage coming from both sources, I was able to overwhelm the enemy and finish the fight.
After defeating the boss, I received a Jacko Bomb drop and gained additional progression. I also noticed an increase in Prestige during the run.
This fight showed me how useful summons can be against bosses, especially when they keep dealing damage while you focus on avoiding incoming attacks.
Waves 6–9: Stronger Enemies and New Monsters
After defeating the first boss, we need to continue clearing enemies through the next set of waves.
During this part of the run, I encountered several Halloween-themed enemies, including Mummies, Vampires, and other monsters. The Reaper also remained a threat because of its ability to summon additional enemies.
As you progress, the number of monsters increases, and the fights become more demanding. I also collected additional Candy during the run, which was useful for building up my event resources.
My advice is to keep moving, use your summons strategically, and avoid wasting stamina on weaker enemies when more dangerous threats are nearby.
Wave 10 Boss: Haunted Tree
Around Wave 10, I encountered a powerful boss called the Haunted Tree.
This fight was much more challenging than the earlier boss encounter because the Haunted Tree dealt significant damage and threatened my summons. During the battle, my summons were defeated, and some of the attacks became difficult to manage.
Even so, I kept fighting until the boss lost most of its health and eventually defeated it.
After finishing the fight, I collected the available drops and continued progressing through the Haunted Keep.
Tips for Defeating the Haunted Tree
- Keep your distance when the boss prepares dangerous attacks.
- Use summons to maintain damage while you focus on surviving.
- Monitor your health instead of attacking continuously.
- Save enough stamina to reposition when necessary.
- Prepare for the next waves immediately after defeating the boss.
After this fight, the next stage required defeating around 80 mobs. This means you should be ready for another long stretch of combat before reaching the next major encounter.
All New Halloween Enemies in The Veil
The Veil-O-Ween event introduces several Halloween-themed enemies that appear throughout the Haunted Keep. These enemies make the activity more varied and increase the difficulty as we progress.
Reaper
The Reaper is one of the most notable enemies I encountered during the run. Its ability to summon additional mobs makes it especially dangerous if you allow the fight to continue for too long.
Try to deal with the Reaper while keeping track of the enemies it summons. Otherwise, you may find yourself surrounded by too many enemies at once.
Mummy
Mummies appear during the Haunted Keep waves and contribute to the increasing number of enemies you need to defeat.
They are part of the event’s Halloween-themed enemy roster, so expect to encounter them as you progress through the activity.
Vampire
The Vampire is another enemy I discovered during the run. It adds more variety to the fights and is one of the different Halloween-themed monsters you can encounter while clearing waves.
Devil
I also encountered a Devil during the later stages of the Haunted Keep.
This enemy is mobile and can make the fight more difficult if you do not have enough stamina to keep up. I eventually defeated it, but the encounter reminded me how important stamina management is during longer runs.
Make sure you bring enough stamina potions so you can keep moving and using your abilities when needed.
Wave 15 Final Boss: The Lord With 75,000 HP
The biggest challenge in the Veil-O-Ween event is The Lord, the final boss I reached around Wave 15.
This boss has a massive 75,000 HP, making it significantly stronger than the earlier bosses we encounter in the Haunted Keep.
By the time I reached this stage, I had already spent approximately an hour progressing through the waves. After all that work, The Lord was the main obstacle standing between us and completing the challenge.
Unfortunately, I did not manage to defeat The Lord solo during this run. Instead, I watched another player attempt the fight and got a closer look at the boss’s powerful attacks.
The other player eventually got defeated, showing just how dangerous this encounter can be.
Can You Defeat The Lord Solo?
Based on what I experienced, defeating The Lord solo looks extremely difficult.
The boss has a huge health pool and powerful attacks that can eliminate players quickly. Even if you deal substantial damage, surviving long enough to finish the fight is another challenge.
I also found that solo progression through the Haunted Keep takes a considerable amount of time, so losing against the final boss after reaching Wave 15 can be frustrating.
However, this does not mean solo completion is impossible. It simply means you should not underestimate The Lord, especially if your character is not fully prepared for the fight.
The Veil-O-Ween event in The Veil offers a lengthy progression questline, Candy farming, three statues to activate, a wave-defense activity, and several Halloween-themed bosses.
To progress through the event, we need to collect Candy, activate all three statues, unlock the Haunted Keep, and survive its increasingly difficult waves. Along the way, we will encounter enemies such as the Reaper, Mummy, Vampire, and Devil, along with bosses like the Haunted Tree.
The biggest challenge is The Lord, with its massive 75,000 HP and powerful attacks. Reaching this boss already takes a lot of time, so make sure your build is ready, bring enough potions, and consider teaming up with other players before attempting the final fight.
I found the Haunted Keep challenging, especially when playing solo, but it is worth progressing through the event to discover the new enemies, fight the bosses, and collect rewards along the way.
Have you managed to defeat The Lord in the Veil-O-Ween event, or are you still working your way through the Haunted Keep? Let me know how your run went!
