Rubinite Achievement Guide – How to Unlock Achievement

If you’re aiming for 100% completion in Rubinite, you’ll need more than simply finishing the story. While most achievements unlock naturally, several are tied to hidden mechanics, optional bosses, secret areas, and specific actions during boss fights.

The good news is that nothing is permanently locked if you miss it the first time. Most achievements can be earned later through boss rematches or additional exploration. This guide walks you through every achievement in the easiest order while explaining exactly what you need to do.

Rubinite Achievement Guide – How to Unlock Every Achievement

Rubinite includes 38 Steam achievements.

  • 24 Story Achievements unlock naturally by progressing through the game.
  • 14 Optional or Missable Achievements require specific actions or hidden discoveries.

If you’re playing normally without rushing, you’ll unlock most of the story achievements automatically.

Story Achievements

These achievements are part of the main campaign and should unlock naturally on Normal difficulty.

Wake Up from a Nightmare

Unlocked immediately after starting a new game.

There’s nothing special to do here—the achievement appears once the opening sequence finishes.

Defeat the Beast

Earned after defeating the game’s first major boss.

Take time learning its attack patterns, as this fight introduces many mechanics you’ll continue using throughout the game.

Repel the Guardian

Awarded after defeating the second boss.

Continue following the story until this encounter begins.

Choosing Your First Route

After defeating the Guardian, the game splits into two different paths.

You can choose either route first.

Northern Route

This path leads to:

  • Dual Cultists
  • Martyred Angel

Southern Route

This path leads to:

  • Grave Keeper
  • Plague Bearer

Neither choice affects the ending, so simply pick whichever boss seems easier for you.

Northern Route Bosses

Defeat the Dual Cultists

Travel north and defeat both cultists.

Be careful of their grab attack, especially if you’re also attempting missable achievements.

Defeat the Martyred Angel

Continue through the northern area until reaching this boss.

Winning the fight unlocks the achievement automatically.

Southern Route Bosses

Defeat the Grave Keeper

Head south from the branching path.

The Grave Keeper has several wide attacks, so learning his timing makes the fight much easier.

Defeat the Plague Bearer

Continue through the southern section until reaching the Plague Bearer.

Instead of relying heavily on charged attacks, consistent basic attacks make this fight much smoother.

Mid-Game Story Bosses

Continue progressing after both routes are complete.

You’ll eventually face:

Faye

Defeating her opens the large gate leading into the next section of the story.

Grant (The Ghost)

Grant frequently disappears during combat.

Applying Focus Marks before he turns invisible makes tracking him significantly easier.

Roy

Roy relies on fast dagger attacks but has clear animations before each strike.

Learning these tells makes the encounter surprisingly manageable.

The Witch (Alcina)

One of the tougher encounters in Rubinite.

After defeating her you’ll immediately unlock:

  • Defeated the Witch
  • Maybe the End

The credits will roll shortly afterward.

Continue After the Credits

Don’t stop playing after the first ending.

Reload your completed save file.

Doing so begins the game’s true ending route.

Escape the Illusion

After loading your save, continue into the newly available world.

This unlocks another sequence of story achievements.

True Ending Achievements

Progress through the post-game story to unlock:

True Difficulty

Defeat the Beast once again.

First Encounter?

Meet Mira after defeating Faye.

Someone Else’s Past

Defeat Grant again.

Mira opens a hidden room.

Interact with the Swan statue to unlock the achievement.

Defeat the Red-Eyed Tree

Mira reveals another hidden passage.

Follow it until reaching the Tree boss.

Winning the battle unlocks the achievement.

Defeated… Myself?

Equip the special Talisman received from the Tree.

Then defeat Roy again.

Remove the Curse

Unlocks immediately after completing the previous objective.

Defeat the Puppeteer

The final major boss of Rubinite.

Defeat him to continue toward the true ending.

Obtain the Legendary Rubinite

Awarded immediately after defeating the Puppeteer.

Leave the Rest to Me!

When speaking with Mira before the final battle, promise her everything will be okay.

Choosing this dialogue option unlocks the achievement after continuing.

Save the Kingdom

Finish the true ending.

Unlocked on any difficulty.

RUBINITE

Complete the game on Normal Difficulty.

Missable Achievements

These achievements require special actions.

Many can be earned during boss rematches if you miss them initially.

Amulets? Pffft. Forget Them

Defeat any boss without equipping a talisman.

The Beast or the first Faye fight are the easiest opportunities.

True Hunter

Defeat any boss without taking damage.

The first Faye encounter is generally considered the easiest fight for this challenge.

I’m Not Tasty at All!

During the Dual Cultists battle, intentionally allow their grab attack to swallow you.

You’ll survive and immediately unlock the achievement.

Bomb Disposal Expert

During the Grave Keeper fight, destroy every small bomb before they explode.

Attack them while they’re still small.

If the boss never performs the bomb attack during your attempt, the achievement becomes much easier.

Plague It Cool

During the Plague Bearer fight:

  1. Split the boss once.
  2. Attack the larger body instead of finishing the smaller one.
  3. Split it again until three separate bodies exist.

Only then should you defeat them.

Out of Body

During the Grant battle, don’t allow him to damage himself.

Stay aggressive and destroy his armour quickly before he performs self-harming attacks.

Don’t Even Think About It

During Faye’s rematch:

  • Parry every grab attack.
  • Dodging or missing even one grab fails the challenge.

The second phase tends to have fewer grabs, making it slightly easier.

You Dare Use My Own Weapons Against Me, Ruby?

After defeating Roy:

  1. Collect his daggers.
  2. Equip them as a charm.
  3. Return to the monastery.
  4. Pray.
  5. Start Roy’s rematch.
  6. Throw the daggers at him.

You don’t even need to defeat Roy for the achievement.

Illuminate the Night

After defeating Roy, return to the monastery.

Light every candle inside.

Once all candles are lit, the achievement unlocks.

Fulfilling a Wish

Purchase every available attack upgrade.

Then head downstairs and defeat the Penitent NPC.

There You Are

Before fighting the Red-Eyed Tree, explore the hidden passage to the left.

Navigate through the secret wall using this path:

  • Up
  • Left
  • Down
  • Left
  • Up
  • Left

You’ll eventually discover a hidden character.

Collection Achievements

These require exploration instead of combat.

Finder’s Keepers

Open every chest inside the monastery.

Hidden chests can be found in:

  • Main Hall
  • Side Hall
  • Dining Hall
  • Library
  • Courtyard
  • Mirror Room
  • Abbot’s Office
  • Sick Ward

Several are hidden behind walls or environmental clues, so explore carefully before moving on.

Talismans Connoisseur

Collect every talisman in the game.

This includes:

  • Broken talismans repaired by Wichiwi.
  • Crafted talismans purchased using Blood Dust.
  • Story-related talismans found in the true ending.
  • Roy’s Daggers.

Only after obtaining every talisman will the achievement unlock.

Fully Fledged

Once you escape the illusion, several upgrades reset.

Spend Blood Dust again to unlock every new upgrade in the post-game skill tree.

After purchasing all available upgrades, the achievement unlocks.

Rubinite’s achievement list strikes a nice balance between story progression, exploration, and skill-based challenges. Most achievements come naturally as you uncover the game’s secrets, while the optional ones encourage mastering each boss rather than simply defeating them.

If you’re aiming for the perfect Steam profile, completing everything shouldn’t require multiple full playthroughs. By revisiting boss fights, thoroughly exploring the monastery, and progressing through the true ending, you’ll be able to unlock every one of the game’s 38 achievements.
