If you’re aiming for that satisfying 100% completion in Scrap Mechanic, you’re in the right place. Some achievements unlock naturally while you’re enjoying the game, while others can leave you scratching your head wondering what you’re actually supposed to do.
The good news? Most of them are much easier than they first appear.
I’ve put together this guide in the same order you’ll likely encounter them, with straightforward explanations and a few helpful tips along the way. Whether you’re playing Survival, Creative, or Sandbox, this walkthrough should save you a lot of unnecessary grinding.
Up and Running
Objective: Activate all stations in the Mining Hub.
This achievement requires you to activate every mechanic station found throughout the Mining Hub.
If it doesn’t unlock immediately, keep exploring the entire hub and interact with every station you come across. Missing even one will prevent the achievement from appearing.
Tip: Explore every side path before assuming you’ve visited everything.
Friendly Revival
Objective: Let Baby Wok revive you.
After rescuing Baby Wok later in the game, allow yourself to be defeated while Baby Wok is nearby. Instead of respawning normally, Baby Wok will revive you, unlocking the achievement.
There’s no complicated strategy here—just make sure Baby Wok is accompanying you.
Tool Time Shenanigans
Objective: Build a structure in your garage.
This is one of the easiest achievements.
Open your garage and build literally anything.
A tiny vehicle or even a simple platform is enough.
My Beautiful Background
Objective: Build something in the main menu and save it.
From the game’s main menu builder:
- Create any object.
- Save the creation.
Even a single block works.
Helpful Builder
Objective: Complete every construction task.
Throughout the game you’ll receive various construction projects.
Complete every available building assignment to earn this achievement.
These quests gradually appear as your progression continues, so don’t worry if you don’t see them all immediately.
True Mechanic Genius
Objective: Complete all 50 menu challenges.
The game’s main menu includes fifty unique challenges.
You’ll need to finish every single one.
Some are simple tutorials while others test your building skills, but none are missable.
Farmers Eating Good Lately
Objective: Complete every farmer order.
Farmers regularly request different items and crops.
Keep fulfilling every order until none remain.
This achievement naturally comes with continued farming and exploration.
My First Car
Objective: Finish the “My First Car” building task.
Simply follow the in-game blueprint and complete the tutorial vehicle.
You’ll unlock this very early during Survival Mode.
Growlab Champion
Objective: Complete the first Growlab.
Eventually you’ll receive a quest involving the Cultivator.
Follow the questline until you finish the first Growlab laboratory.
Once completed, the achievement unlocks automatically.
Don’t ignore the main story quests—this achievement is tied directly to progression.
True Mechanic
Objective: Complete all six mechanic tests.
There are six total mechanic trials.
Finish every test successfully to unlock this achievement.
Most players earn this naturally while progressing through the campaign.
Blocks for Days / Blocks Will Last a Long Time
Objective: Create 10,000 blocks.
Thankfully, you don’t need to build one massive structure.
Every crafted block counts toward the total.
If you spend time building bases, vehicles and farms, you’ll eventually reach 10,000 without specifically farming it.
Farmbot Smackdown
Objective: Defeat a Farmbot.
The quickest method is Creative or Sandbox Mode.
Spawn a Farmbot and destroy it.
Done.
Haybot Junkyard
Objective: Destroy 100 Haybots.
Haybots are extremely common throughout Survival.
You’ll likely reach this milestone naturally.
If you’re in a hurry, Sandbox Mode lets you spawn them repeatedly.
Totebot Junkyard
Objective: Destroy 100 Totebots.
Just like Haybots, Totebots appear everywhere.
If you’re focused purely on achievements, Sandbox Mode makes this incredibly fast.
Minerbot Junkyard
Objective: Destroy 100 Minerbots.
Minerbots are found around mining areas.
Farm them naturally or use Sandbox Mode if available.
Bot Splat / Bot Soft-Boiled
Objective: Run over a robot with your vehicle.
Build any functioning car.
Drive directly into a bot.
As long as the vehicle gets the kill, the achievement unlocks.
Pizza Burger Chow Down / A Feast for the Whole World
Objective: Eat a Pizza Burger while wearing a Pizza Burger T-shirt.
You’ll need two things:
- Pizza Burger food
- Pizza Burger shirt
Equip the shirt first.
Then eat the Pizza Burger.
That’s it.
Still in One Piece
Objective: Reach the centre of the Hay Maze.
This is easily one of the toughest achievements in the game.
The maze sits near Cultivator 2 and is packed with dangerous enemies—especially multiple Farmbots.
Trying to fight everything inside usually ends badly.
An easier strategy
Instead of entering the maze normally:
- Bring around 500 building blocks.
- Carry roughly 100–150 potatoes for healing.
- Use a reliable vehicle with plenty of fuel.
- Climb onto one of the tall hay walls.
- Build a small safe platform.
- Slowly construct a bridge over the maze toward the centre.
This lets you completely avoid most enemies.
Once you reach the central capsule, the achievement unlocks.
Then carefully leave the same way you came.
It’s slower, but far less frustrating.
Lethal Snack
Objective: Destroy two blue Tapebots using one Corn Grenade.
The easiest place is Sandbox Mode.
Spawn two blue Tapebots close together.
Throw one Corn Grenade so both are caught in the explosion.
Timing is everything.
Fresh Fruits and Vegetables
Objective: Harvest 500 crops.
Nothing fancy here.
Grow crops.
Harvest them.
Repeat.
If you’re maintaining a decent-sized farm throughout the game, this achievement comes naturally.
Wet Circuits
Objective: Pour water on a Haybot.
Probably one of the funniest achievements.
Simply splash a Haybot with water.
Sandbox Mode makes this take only a few seconds.
Hubert’s High Friction Mustache
Objective: Find Hubert’s missing mustache.
This is a collectible hidden somewhere in the world.
Keep exploring optional locations and interacting with points of interest until you discover it.
Master of Defense
Objective: Successfully defend against a Level 5 raid.
Large farms trigger stronger raids.
Once your crops attract a Level 5 attack, successfully protect everything until the raid ends.
Strong walls, automated defenses and upgraded weapons make this much easier.
The Stuntman
Objective: Reach extremely high speed while sitting in a seat.
Build a vehicle loaded with boosters.
Find a long, open stretch.
Activate every booster and remain seated.
Once your speed is high enough, the achievement unlocks.
The Farmer’s Hand
Objective: Rescue 10 farmers.
Locate trapped farmers throughout the world.
Transport each one safely back to the shelter.
After rescuing the tenth farmer, you’ll receive the achievement.
New Best Friend
Objective: Rescue Baby Wok.
This story-related achievement unlocks after completing the rescue quest.
Simply continue progressing through the campaign.
Blessing the Workshop
Objective: Publish a creation to the Steam Workshop.
Open your saved creations and upload one.
It doesn’t have to be complicated.
A simple build works perfectly.
That said, uploading something useful is always appreciated by other players.
Don’t Touch My Tomatoes
Objective: Successfully defend your crops from attacking bots.
This is another farming achievement.
Protect your garden during a raid without losing your crops.
You’ll probably unlock it before reaching the tougher Level 5 defense achievement.
Surviving the Impossible
Objective: Survive an encounter with the Seeker Bot.
The Seeker Bot appears roughly every one to three in-game days.
When you encounter it:
- Let it detect you.
- Stay alive during the encounter.
Surviving the attack is enough for the achievement.
Good armor and healing items make this much less stressful.
Schematic Collector Club
Objective: Unlock every block schematic.
You’ll discover schematic containers while exploring.
These aren’t useful until you locate the schematic robot found along roads.
Take every schematic container there and unlock each available blueprint.
Keep collecting until every schematic has been learned.
Sharp Dressed Mechanic
Objective: Unlock every costume.
Outfits come from clothing boxes scattered throughout the world.
Collect clothing crates.
Use Box Cutters to open them.
Continue collecting until every cosmetic item has been unlocked.
This is one of the longer completion grinds in the game.
Bank Mechanic
Objective: Reach Storage Value X.
Continue upgrading and expanding your storage until you reach the required value.
Since this is tied to long-term progression, most players earn it late in Survival Mode.
Questionable Behavior
Objective: Blow up Wok using an explosive canister.
Sandbox Mode is by far the quickest option.
Spawn Wok.
Use an explosive canister.
Detonate it nearby.
Achievement unlocked.
Spectacular Mechanic
Objective: Unlock every other achievement.
Once every achievement listed above has been completed, this final achievement appears automatically.
Congratulations—you’ve officially completed Scrap Mechanic.
Scrap Mechanic has a surprisingly fun achievement list because it encourages you to experience nearly every part of the game. Some achievements are simple one-minute tasks, while others reward long-term exploration, farming, building, and creativity.
The Hay Maze and costume collection are probably the biggest time investments, but everything else is very manageable if you work on achievements as you play instead of leaving them until the end.
If you’re chasing that perfect 100% completion badge, stick with it—you’ll naturally unlock most achievements just by enjoying everything Scrap Mechanic has to offer.
